The January transfer window is really not that far away now and, with things going better than most anticipated, the club have some decisions to make. Here's a few thoughts I have on where some of these decisions should land.

Ampadu either needs to added to the 'loan army' or replace the possibly outgoing Cahill. With qualification from our group secured he is one of a few who should see significant mins in out last Europa League group games, but, in my opinion he is the most advanced and pro-ready of our young players and he needs more mins on the pitch. I think a club like Brighton would be a positive place for a loan.

Hudson-Odoi, whilst also at the top of the quality chart for our young players, should stay with the squad and learn in training. A season behind Ampadu in his progression and still having so much to learn from training with Hazard etc. let's get him to the point where he is comfortable with his role in the team before unleashing him next season. Him, Hazard, Pusilic and Pedro (for experience) would be a potent attacking group to pick from!

As far as incomings are concerned, I really do hope there is some truth to the Pusilic rumours. It would be ideal from him to join in January and learn now for a solid start to next season. The only other thing we need right now is a striker, but I would expect the club to hold out until the summer before addressing this - although I think Wilson could be a nice addition.

In other news - how good did Jay DaSilva look for the u21's the other night. There is no reason this boy can't replace Emerson for next season. I can see him and Reece James as our future full-backs for years to come.

Aina was our future right-back for years to come only a short while ago!

Having a very good season at Torino right now, but I don't think there was really a natural situation for him to break into the side -our fullbacks were far too strong at that time.

I also think James and DaCosta are better players than he was at their age.
