My prediction anyway, still embarrassing we couldn't get that deal done when the player was throwing himself at us. Dissapointing.

None of us are confident right now, but throwing the towel in before a ball has been kicked is silly.
Lukaku hasn't exactly set the world on fire at United either.

God willing we will win. I know Chelsea, if our team is motivated, it'll take an extraordinary performance, 'outfoxing' (exploit our weaknesses) or luck to beat us.
Unless ManUnited is lucky on the day or they play so well (which I don't see them outplaying Chelsea) . So I feel Mourinho will try to be very tactical and outfox Chelsea.

lukaku has 27 goal so and 11 assists, I know stats don't say everything but that's a great record for a team that doesn't attack.
Our striker striker that we fell back on has 14 and 9.

Someone at the club took issue with Lukaku regardless of the fact he may or may not have been ‘throwing’ himself at us. Morata was a priority.

Just an "out-there" musing I had today.
Some have said that they'd play Luiz alongside Kante, and I'd be OK with that too. Obviously, he's currently not available for selection so I thought, we could play Alonso in there.
Gives us Emerson on the left, which most are happy with. Alonso can do the box to box and isn't afraid of a long shot either.
Just a different look at things from me.

Problem is we shouldn't be looking at trying to force squares into circle holes. We need to either have a feeling that Bakayoko will come good and look the £40 million player we thought we were getting, or go out and find a top quality midfielder who can compliment Kante.
Don't get me wrong, having squad players who can fill multiple roles is a must in modern day football, but it isn't the solution for filling a position of real need.

If we have to play a aging CB as CM then it shows how bad this club have messed up with young players and in transfer market.

That could be disastrous or chances are slim it could pay off. It's too risky- (playing a footballer [M. Alonso] into a CM role that he hasn't played-in ever before) against a very strong opponent like ManUnited; in an FA CUP final.
Dihanio M. Alonso could posses some CM qualities in his game but it would be too much of a risk bringing him into this game to play central midfield. Besides have you considered his work rate- cos midfield is very difficult to play.

@D_Peezy watching Willian interview for ESPNBrasil. journalist Gian Oddi asked about Conte. Willian's answer: "Oh boy. Do you really want me to tell you? " -journalists and Willian really laughing- "Well, some other., let's save it for one next interview". Conte is really out.

I'd take Carlo. Sets his teams up to score and would bring some stability to the club.

Not often we agree on anything C1955 but Carlo brought a calm approach to the club coupled with free flowing attacking football and a valueable knowledge of how to win games and competitions. Make Jody his Assistant and bingo!
