Posted this as response to something on the rumours page about RDM, just wanted to see if people on here agreed or disagreed.

I really don't think he has the ability to win us a league title. And before you all jump on my back, I love Roberto mainly because of how much he evidently loves the club, and obviously what he did for us as a player.

He has done a terrific job since taking over but tactically i don't think he is good enough for the job yet. He has made some very questionable team selections which have almost all worked out fortunately. Although he has been able to manage the team superbly I think our schedule over the past 2 months has helped with rotation due to games every 2-4 days. This has certainly helped boost moral of fringe players: kalou, malouda, bos, mikel. All should be sold.

Its no surprise who I want as manager, and still think he will come. He has finally won the La Liga and in doing so, has accomplished his goal of 3 titles in 3 different top European leagues. My no.2 for the job would be Joachim Low for sure. He has done terrifically with Germany and has shown a desire to play attacking football. He also loves developing youth.

Whatever happens I will either support RDM or thank him for bringing back the Chelsea spirit. 3-1 down Napoli win. 2-0 down Barcelona 10 men draw (win tie). Aston Villa 0-2, 2-2, 2-4 (fernando).

In Ed002 I Trust

His team management against newcastle and espicially liverpool was a discrace hes made some poor choices at times but hes a relativly inexperianced manager and had never tackeled anything at this level, all in all hes done a good job, love his passion for the club and celebrations,i dont think he will be given a chance, why go for someone new give him a year deal see how things go,at the end of the day hes done us proud and we have boosted his job offers to top team capability ,win win

Hard to tell because RDM had to rotate the squad so much after taking over...basically his entire tenure as coach was playing matches every 4-6 days. I'd like to say he would've gotten us a top 4 finish had he'd been manager from the start of the season...but who knows. My heart is telling me his passion (and history with) for the club makes him the perfect manager...but I'm still not sure.

Agree0 Disagree2

RDM has hardly put a foot wrong, Liverpool game I would have sent out the same squad he did, some people on here have mentioned that his selections have been a bit suspect and that he got away with it, i disagree if Mouriniho had done in the short space of time and under the same circumstances what he has done we would be praising his football genius. if/when we win Saturday RDM had done something no one else has been able to do with Chelsea surely that alone deserves we and the board back the guy and give him the contract he has earned and deserves before other clubs come knocking on his door.

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Matteo isn't the man for the job and by no means is the insinuating that he has done a poor job! He just isn't experienced enough to take this job on with all that I required in the next four, plus, years!

I look at the job Jurgen Klopp ha done at Dortmund and the team he has built and I can only really see positives, winning that league is no easy feet! He would be top of my list but admitadly it would be a risk; plus I can't see him leaving Dortmund this summer! Mourinho is staying in Madrid; he will want another run at the Champions League next season; that a non starter!

Low would be a really positive move for me, as you say he isn't afraid to give talented youth a chance and always plays positive attacking football!

Cups hes been brilliant, league poor. decision to defencive againt city, castle and pool, we were lucky against stoke & wigan, 2 draws at arse n yids poor performances very poor! BLUEBOY1

How can you possibly compare Mourinho and RDM? Mourinho was and still does manage RM when AVB got the sack. If we play your hypothetical game and say Mourinho came in when AVB got sacked. He would get the praise of 'his football genius' because he has proven a number of times he is capable of winning numerous leagues, european cups and domestic trophies. Compare the CV with RDM.

A club legend and I love the man but he is not capable of leading us forward IMO. If he gets the full time job I will be 100% behind the bloke and will then only refer to him solely by 'his football genius'.

I have an overwhelming feeling ed002 is on the shortlist.

VDW--------Luiz-------Cahill-------Cole
----------Fellaini-------Ramirez--------
Di Maria----------Mata-------------Hulk
-----------------Falcao---------------

Could be a good team for nxt season

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Very, very unlikely. I doubt Di Maria and Falcao will join.

Agree6 Disagree0

Gotta play Torres next season with better wingers and a proper creative midfield spark

Agree3 Disagree1

Marin will probably start at LW, and I want to see us sign Modric, Moutinho or another effective deep-lying playmaker

Why are some areas of the media speaking about AVB joining Liverpool with such delight and dare i say praise him for his achievements. But when he was Chelsea manager there was nothing but criticisum of him?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Because AVB was expected to challenge for the league with Chelsea. With Liverpool expectations for him are simply non relegation, quarter-final of the Mickey Mouse and a mere 50m wasted on transfers.

This is my HOPEFUL team for next year:

GK: Cech
RB: Azpilceuta
CB: Cahill/Luiz
CB:Terry
LB: Cole

DM: Fernando
CM: Ramires
AM: Mata

RW: Hulk
ST: Torres / Higuain
LW: De Bruyne/ Marin

Subs: Mikel / Sturridge / Ivanovic / Bertrand / Lampard

COME ON THE CHELS!!! I think saturday could be the day our club makes history

Also we should stick with Robbie if he has a good season next season he will be talked about in the same breath as AVB and Jose were when they first started as a young potentially great manager!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Prefer Marin to De Bruyne, Marin seems a better player. Personally I would send De Bruyne on loan to another prem club or to the French league

Bayerns defence against dortmunt was terrible and with them missing key defenders i think we should keep bosingwa on robben ash on ribery cahill n luiz in middle with romeu just infront keep the back tight against mario, then the rest of the team all out attack we can do em,so hyped for saturday already bring it home boys!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Tottaly agree ,, we need to go upfront the way we did against Napoli , not park the bus infront of goal like the barca game. we don't have ramirez who sprinted to assist our home goal against barcelona and scored the first half's goal in the away game. we will lack speed in midfield so quick passes will be our way to go front and score goals. GO BLUES

Hi Ed002, Will Chelsea target winning the Premier League Championship next season or will they accept a top 4 finish? {Ed002's Note - All teams will target winning the championship.}

Hey chaps if I were managerwith what we've got available I would play cech ferrer luiz Cahill ash boz
Mikel Frank Bertrand and mata behind drogs it would mean a solid 442 when not in possession and 433 when attacking with natural width and would leave jaun mata a free role ,
Cheers fozzie blue

any interest in danillo from Porto?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Great young player but him and rami in the middle would leave us weak on defence there

My squad for the Bayern Munich game:

*************Cech*************
Bosingwa****Luiz***Cahill******Cole
*********Mikel*****Romeu*******
**Torres*****Lampard********Mata
************Drogba************

Agree or Disagree, also share ur team and approaches if u were coach on that night.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I think Torres and drog have to play to up top look how much trouble it caused us with a player like drogba good in the air(Carroll, ba)

Agree2 Disagree0

Think mostly its right, but I would swap Romeu and Torres for Essien and Kalou. Essien has the experience, think the occasion could get to Romeu, plus he hasnt had much playing time recently. And although I know Kalou is woeful going forward, he will provide better cover for bosingwa against Ribery

NP

Agree1 Disagree0

I would put kalou in rather than Oriol, bring lamps back and playing mata in the middle. As for torres on the wing, im not sure, he is not great defensivly which would be a problem up against Ribery. But then again it isn't like we have loads of options on the wing atm and Torres has been playing well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres nor Mata will track the wingbacks of Bayern leaving us vulnerable at the wings. So i can see Kalou/Malouda being used instead {Ed002's Note - Malouda is very doubtful for Saturday.}

I can understand people wanting to see Drogba and Torres up top with Mata playing behind them on Saturday. However Bayerns biggest threat comes from out wide via Robben and Riber; these two will need to be managed and width in midfield is surely a must as far as this is concerned!
