Just saw on European page we might move for Jese Rodriguez if we miss out on other targets. Anyone know much about him?

I'm hoping Guadrado and Falcao can help
get the best out each other, could even help them settle.

Just want to know your view on the loan signing of Falcao?

For me last season I wanted nothing more than him to snap out of it and start banging the goals in.

He did have a tough injury and was pushed straight back into the thick of it but I never saw the spark that we all know he used to have.

My question is do you think mourinho can get that back out of him? He is the special one after all. As much I would hate to see him on fire, I just can't see it.

If anyone can its mourinho, but I think the Falcao as we knew him is gone.

It would be hard to find someone who can be better than Remy and be happy to play second fiddle to Costa. I think its a smart move cause Falcao knows he needs to hit the ground running to get a chance to compete with Diego?

I don't think he'll add much.

In my opinion if Jose thinks he can get the best out of him then why not. The fee isn't extortionate so the risk involved isn't huge and getting the best out of falcao we would have one of the worlds best strikers

I also think that Falcao time has gone.

But on the other side, when all of the main targets are unfeasible or hard to seize, he could be a temporary solution (I hope that it is cheap as well - cause we got no clear information for his wage and fee).

Chelsea could gain multiple benefits from this:
- Save the position for the real target/ or proved youth - loanee next year (maybe more talents will come up, some talents will be proved or disappear/ or our Bamford will has another amazing year)
- Gather more money for that future targets by the next year income
- don't have to stick with another case of Sheva/Torres or Cuadrado recently.

The problem is utilizing the use of Falcao - he hope he could distribute something and fulfill his mission as a temporary solution.

This will be the shrewdest bit of business this summer. Top quality player who Jose knows all about. Watch this space.

Seems to be a strategy we have atm, first Et'o then Drogs and now Falcao, players brought in with no transfer fee who can add experience, winning mentality and hopefully goals. Wages might be on the high end but without a commitment past the first year it is certainly a risk worth taking.
If we can't get the old Falcao back then it is no huge loss, but if we can then we have two of the best goal scorers in world football on our books.

There's a lot of pieces to this. To start off you have to look at the fact that alternatives would most likely cost a very decent sized sum so while he won't be cheap the market would've never been cheap either. As others have mentioned this gives guys such as bamford and solanke time to develop without bringing in a guy who you will have to move on to facilitate their inclusion down the line. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that as bad as it sounds this might help continue to bolster our relationship with mendes who is in turn helping us attempt to facilitate the acquisition of griezmann. As far as performance goes he certainly won't be the falcao the world feared but he will also be better than drogba last year. One thing that intrigues me is that his confidence clearly is down and I'll be interested to see how mourinho tries to build it up even though he won't be first choice. And as Torres showed some miracles are beyond Jose.

Going to face them anyways welsh so I say the sooner the better, plus we could definitely benefit from not going to ethihad and goodison second half of the season.

Ps. Thanks for all the info Ed002 and your usual contribution Ed018.

Would have liked a couple more games before the Etihad game to give us a chance to get our rythym but if we won it would set down a great marker for the season.

I think going to Etihad so soon is good. I expect our squad to be largely the same so synergy and such shouldn't be a problem. City are probably goung to have a bigger overhaul this summer so getting them early might be an advantage.

I was thinking along the same lines as Jackson. Rarely in the season do you see a team really click on all cylinders and with their projected overhaul they probably won't be on key by that point.
