We've been linked with Thauvin a few times has anyone watched him much for Marseille? It looks as though he's been outstanding for them and scores goals too. Maybe an option for RW along with Bailey and Zaha.

I don't know what went on with him at Newcastle but he's been prolific since. Maybe it could be like another Salah situation after leaving us.

Bakayoko was outstanding for Monaco, Kezman was outstanding for Eindhoven - look how those two turned out.

You must read them because you reply to them? Strange that.

Let’s hope so Loko because if he does my guess is we will win yet another Premiership.

Why is it teams always come into form the match before we play them.

I always want a team to win the game before they play us. Particularly if it’s a lower team.
I must have a reason but I can’t remember why!
Maybe just a silly superstition of mine!

West Ham are great up-front but can't defend (who does that remind you of!? ) - should make for a great game - Prediction: 6-4 in our favour.

So far so good. Did mention at the start of the season that with a change of manager to a more attcking one in Sarri there would be a new lease of life for certain players such as Pedro, Willian, Alonso etc.

I'm glad these players are all delivering and finally getting plaudits from posters who used to call them deadwood. Maybe deadwood under defensive managers.

I really don't know what to think of Alonso. Offensively, he's perhaps the best left back in the world right now, but defensively he's a liability - I even think he got caught out a few times yesterday in the early phase of the game.
I fear the moment he will face one of the league's best wingers.

At the moment we are 5/ 5. Alonso has a massive say in that too, if not for him we wouldn't be nowhere near 5/ 5.

Defensively his improved and is playing well. Easily the better of our defenders alongside Rudiger at the moment.

Pedro and Willian both had excellent games yesterday and maybe the secret of getting the best is to rotate them as Pedro does not last 90 mins and at times nor does Willian. Giroud showed us how useful he is and clearly Hazard has tuned into what he might do laying the ball off. Morata is now finding the spotlight firmly on him. The defence still looks shaky and either the format is wrong or we have the wrong players for the right format, certainly Luiz looks uncomfortable. I know we paid a lot of money for Kepa but we cannot use inexperience as an excuse, to me he looks decidedly shaky, punching when he should catch and a distinct lack of authority in his area.

C1955, I agree totally about Luiz looking shaky yesterday but I think with the amount of games coming up other defenders will be given a chance and they have to stake their claim.
I’m with you on Kepa as well but I guess it’s to soon to be sure about his quality. When we signed him I did the usual thing and searched all the platforms that showed his performances.
The problem I found was that nearly all the sites seemed to show him making wonder saves. With none showing his week points.
My view is, he is a fantastic shot stopper and very quick to recover his position, he is good coming off his line with one in ones and he is comfortable with both feet. He generally stays on his line for crosses and nearly always punches rather than catches.
The lad has big boots to fill with our last few keepers all being top class.
