Ed, regarding Paulo Ferreira, is there any plans to offer him a coaching role with the first team after his current contract expires this summer?Thank you. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea, but very much doubt it.}

Ok, thanks Ed.

I think he does a lot of the pr stuff when we go on tours etc.

Would like to see him stay at the club in some form, has always conducted himself perfectly - underrated modern pro.

Question for debate:

Do you guys think Josh McEachran will make it at Chelsea?

Depends what the next manager is like in terms of integrating young players in the first team squad, he certainly has the quality to make it.

Hate to say it, but I don't think he will.

Yes he will I'd he is integrated. He was amazing beginning of this season. But he is knackered now and ill recently. He passes better than any of our other midfielders. He's just like modric. It's what we need. The quick passer between defence and attackers.

Agree with Cali.

Will be a good player for someone, but unfortunately wot make it at Chelsea!

Alas I doubt that he will develop to the level required and likewise I really don't think Ryan is at or will reach that required level either

Having said that there are a few that show greater promise but for me there are upwards of 15 players that its time we said thanks but no more.
starting with current first team squad to players like the two I mention above and the likes of Kakuta

I think Jack Wilshire's development at Arsenal illustrates the benefit of giving players game time from an early age. I think a fit and in form McEachran would be on a similar level to Wilshire. Wilshire is a little quicker and more direct, but McEachran seems like a bit more of an intelligent player. I would love to see him given a shot from at least August to December of next season, and if it doesn't work out Chelsea could look for a player in the January market. That being said, I don't think that will happen, but am sure he will do very well at the right club.

The issue for me is there are too many players in front of him for his role. Kdb is more prepared to step in as of right now. And I'll be interested to see the next manager with Romeu. I think that could prove to be key. Also you have what position Oscar will play.

Tk

Kevin de Bruyne and Hazard score both goals in a 2-0 win for Belgium.

Watched the whole game and KDB could easily contribute to our squad immediately. no point what's so ever to loan him out.

I hope KDB is given a chance at Chelsea next season, he has been fantastic this season, one of the best performing players in Germany and could help take this Chelsea side to the next level with the right support.

I heard a rumour that ed002 might answer a question soon without being rude or sound bored, ed18 any truth in this
Gareth1973 {Ed002's Note - It is easy to get bored when the brain dead can do little more than ask the same questions over and over, or ask some DF question like "is there anything new on Falcao" every 20 minutes. Then we get the retromingent glifnards like you.}

Ed has always answered my questions politely and succinctly Gareth. I guess the morale here is, ask a stupid question and get a stupid answer.

Ditto Hass
