Well is he actually any good, Dazza? I never watch Brazilian football, but he seems like a very expensive player, and it also seems like both us and Arsenal had a very good reason to step back!

If we signed him what would become of Ampadu and Gallagher both of whom are familiar and comfortable with the lifestyle and type of football in England already?
He isn't substantially better than the two I have mentioned so why shell out tens of millions on a player that has to be seen as a gamble?

Just heard back from Olive following a request from CFCShak for an update. Olive was caught out last week listening by the door to the conference room on board where Roman was entertaining a well known superagent and was asked what she was doing? luckily for her Eugenes phone rang and She legged it back to the lower deck where she was supposed to be polishing. 😁. anyway, the talk has mainly been about what players may be leaving this window and also 'the bigger picture' of building a squad over 2 windows so one or two potential signings may happen in the summer and not in this window. What is clear though is that Zaha and Ake's names are still very much in the picture but alternatives are being considered. Sancho is the dream signing and would be a statement of intent but she can't elaborate anymore other than to say she expects 2 signings this window, a forward and a defender. The latest name to be cropping up again is Ben Chilwell, this might not happen until the summer but it might also happen this window if Leicester can bring in a replacement. Alonso's name keeps popping up as well so . Roman is very active this window and is talking to Marina upto 4 times a day. Hope this helps Shak! 😏😏.

Kinda seems like Timo Werner wants a move to the EPL but wants it done in the summer (that is judging from his recent words about the EPL) ; and it isn't looking like Lyon wants to let Moussa Dembele leave in this transfer window (summer looking possible) . My question Ed002 is- will Chelsea look to sign either (Dembele or Werner) in this transfer window leave them at their respective clubs (on loan) and take them back in the summer as the club did with Pulisic?

Just one for the group.

Previously, the forum got excited about Piatek and obviously he went to Milan.

Now, rumours have him linked with other clubs.

Just want to know why people haven't mentioned him when talking about another striker?

He'd be expensive, and he's been off the boil this season - in a generally poor Milan team.

I watched them in the Coppa Italia last night, took his goal well but at other times looked short of confidence and wanted far too long on the ball / too many touches.

It's such a poor league that I'm guessing you'd need to see someone playing consistently well, and performing at a consistent high level in Europe, to warrant splashing a large amount of cash.

Granted that's true J, but he was on fire when people in here were adamant we must get him.

I would have thought, now he's available, the same people would be looking to want to have us sign him.
