Hi Eds, I've read down the page and it seems you are suggesting we can expect the majority of our transfer business to be done in the summer rather than January's window. So, I was wondering:
1. Is there any urgency regarding a centre back, or even a striker (despite Mourinho's statement)?
2. Other than Essien, are the any other highly possible sales in the immediate future (before the end of the month)

Essien will likely leave. If a forward arrives then BA will likely leave. Hutchison and Kakuta may well leave. Some players will be going out on loan.}

I think the exit of De Bruyne and entrance of Matic, although not directly linked, is a great bit of business by the club. We've let a player go who, despite his talent, was way down in the attacking midfield pecking order and signed a player who I'm sure will go to the top of the central midfield pecking order alongside Ramires.

A similar type of business may only be a mater of months, or maybe even weeks, away. The arrival of Matic means Luiz is unlikely to be played in midfield anymore, especially when Lampard returns to fitness. Rumours continue to circulate re. Barcelona interest in Luiz and £25 to £30million offers on their way! Along with those rumours are the strong rumours of negotiations for Zouma from St. Etienne.

Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic are seemingly in front of Luiz at the back, leaving him as a squad player. (a very good squad player) If we can get £25-£30million for Luiz and bring Zouma in for half of that then that'd be great, great business and the squad will defo be looking more Mourinho like.

Good shout, if we can sell luiz, mata and Ba. Buy zouma and Shaw and use remainder of cash for a striker then we would be in a good place. Hopefully
