Hey guys what is the worst chelsea player performance you've seen?

Mine has to be belarhouse vs Everton 2006/07 season.

Mikel dishes out shocking performances every game! He just gets worse. Worst player to put on a Chelsea shirt offers nothing he is slow, can't pass, can't control a ball, can't win a header. If anyone can tell me what he offers to the team then please tell me! Eds can you tell me.

Agree0 Disagree0

There would be a lot of Torres performances to choose from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pinky that's your opinion mate but every Chelsea boss has used him since he's been there & none have ever said a bad word about him? He isn't flamboyant or technically great but he obviously has something all those managers like, best game was in the champions league final so disagree he's been bad every game, played well last few weeks too

We played well. Won 3-1. Squad is strong chaps. Luis looks good as does Azpi at RB. I prefer Branna to Cahill at CB? You?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bane Ivanovic is the best defender we have, Jose knows that but he is forced to play Ivanovic as a right back because he doesn't have better option. We all saw Dave tonight he went to join attack 2-3 times and made 0 crossings.

Incanovic is a monster and wasted at right back! Only thing is he can't pass

Agree0 Disagree0

In modern football books Ivanovic is taken as example of the best full back in 4231 formation.
But I fully agree that he is even better CD.Perhaps, our best.

It was a weird game for me to be honest. With Zouma's injury I kind of lost track of the game, it was really weird.
Loved the free kick though, god that was pretty!
Good win and into the semis now. We've come so far now, it'd be a shame not to go all the way. Let's go, blues, got to get Stoke on Monday. It'll be hard for sure, but we can't afford to lose points with both Manchester teams winning their games.

All round play I think shurrle is awful

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I also thought he wasn't all that good. But at least he managed to get a goal so it wasn't all bad either :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Schurrle started scoring. He scored recently as well.
This game was though one, Derby is a good team, pretty physical with solid technique.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thinks it's a hard one for some of our fringe players. I think at times their too scared of playing their game and too concerned on being defensively aggressive as Jose likes. In other words they can try too hard to impress the manager instead of being expressive and play to their own strengths.

What a free kick from Luis! Stunning!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yup that was a fantastic strike!

I am really hopping Zouma will be OK. That really looked serious.:-(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah, really hope it's not too serious. Injuries are coming thick and fast now, Drogba also out. If someone else gets injured I'm going to be very mad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zouma's injury looked really serious. Hopefully it's not neck injury. The doctor turned him on side which means he was unconscious at one point.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - heard he didn't go to hospital and was up walking around in the dressing room so it sounds like nothing serious at this point but it was a scary moment for sure}

Ed018 Thanks a lot for info mate!!:)

Well ffs, why Zouma?!?!?!?! I love that guy, he's one of my favourite players. Sucks to see him injured, and just at a time when games are coming thick and fast and he could've caught Mourinho's eye even more. This is not fun!

what the **** were those paramedics doing? Unbelievably slow onto the pitch like they were having a Sunday stroll in the park. Hope they all get sacked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it was Azpi and Fabregas thinking the same thing. Nice to see them speeding things up and getting the stretcher faster to Zouma.

Looks serious with Zouma. I really hope he is okay.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just read something that he was walking around the dressing room, so that's great news. Hope he'll be back soon.

Wow two defensive midfielders against derby really don't think it's needed

One could have been Loftus Cheek IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it's more about giving Oscar & Willian a rest than the need to play two DM's. Would have liked to see RLC there though. Also slightly disappointed that Remy isn't starting. Drogba's played well but in the end he's likely to retire at the end of the season, so we should be trying to offer Remy gametime whenever possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame that there's no Ake, RLC or Baker in the matchday squad. Hopefully we can get the win. Defensively we should definitely be fine with Mikel and Matic in there.

It shows that Mourinho is taking this competition seriously with the team he has picked. Not picking a youngster on the bench is a strange one though. If Chelsea got into a position they were comfortable then it would be an ideal time to give them some experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it's a negative approach playing our normal formation as it keeps the players posistionally focused for every game. Also some game time for the likes of Mikel, zouma etc.

Hey Ed001, I've just been reading your fantastic insight and knowledge about all things Liverpool and football In General, and stumbled across you stating 'clubs are too big to have 1 man in complete control of' or something along those lines. Lots of talk about a DOF as well.

My question is do we have a DOF? Or is Mourinho is complete control of absolutely everything?

Ps- If anyone I know becomes a footballer (or even me ;) ), I'm suggesting you to be there agent. You know a hell of a lot about football man, I'm Jealous :P

Cheers again!

{Ed002's Note - Michael Emenalo.}

Thanks man, I didn't know he was our DOF, thought he was behind other things, thanks for clearing up :)

After hearing salah's rumours about leaving on loan this window, what is the plan of the club? His departure would leave us very thin in that area with only hazard, willian, oscar and schurrle and eventually cesc and remy (he has played LW before).
Are we going to bring someone back like piazon or atsu to fill that void? or someone like boga, baker or brown is going to be the 5th choice AM? Is the club thinking about someone from the outside to replace salah?
The worst case would be that Jose starts using Ramires as RW in my opinion.
Thanks for the info.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd like Baker and Boga get some opportunities, they could do the 5th choice role pretty easily, Salah gets next to no time anyway so it wouldn't be a large loss

Completely agree with Aron. Salah hasn't been getting any time as it is. Boga has been tearing up pretty much whatever is put in front of him so he could start recieving some time. We have a log jam in that area as it is so I'd rather not add to that by purchasing another player.
