Deadline day deal for modric looks likely now Levy and Redknapp have clashed over decisions, 30 million and Anelka/Kalou may secure him. As for wingers, Hazard (At around 25 million?/ 23 millon and Kakuta?) would be an immense signing who would significantly boost Champions league hopes, alongside Drogba in the center and Torres on the left, i see that as a formidable attack. De Bruyne (At 18 million?/ 10 million and Kalou/Anelka?) looks to be a fast rising starlet (Like Alexis Sanchez) and his services would be a great long-term prospect. I feel Ganso/Moutino (Both around 25-32 million?) could come Christmas/ summer 2012, only if AVB settles in and is not fired. In terms of Defensive Midfielders, Romeu may be a new Essien which would be superb considering his cost, the only problem there being the low buy-out clauses. In the defensive third, i see Cahill (Only 10 million), Vincent Kompany (15-23 million?) and Agger (16-21 million?) as good targets (though the former is more likely). At right-back, i think AVB will rotate Ivanovic and Bosingwa and try to sign a cover for left back (although i can think of few proven good players for this position). I think Cech will retire in 2/3 years and see Courtois and Turnbull both good and safe replacements.

Final summer 2011 transfer list
Modric (30 million)
Lukaku (7.5-10 million?)
Oreil Romeu (4.53 million)
Thibaut Courtois (Undisclosed)
1/2 of the following 5: Hazard (see above), Ganso (see above), Moutino (see above), M'villa (15-23 million?) and De Bruyne (see above)
Possible Transfers (The most common rumours)
Mereilles? (13 million and Anelka?
Kaka? (7-12 million?)
Nasri?(20-38 million?)
Turan? (Don't Know?)

Believable2 Unbelievable1

You really have seemed to have made up your numbers...... £7m - £12m for Kaka??????? Nasri £20m - £38m???? De Bruyne £18m?????

If your gunna post figures try and make them realistic m8

Your valuations are so out. A bid for 32m has already reportedly been turned down for Modric, Lukaku will be a minimum of 18m I think (maybe 18m euros, though), no idea about Romeu, de Bruyne is available cheaper and neither player you mentioned would go to Belgium, Turan is already gone to Athletico. Eds may be able to clear ups any of my mistakes too. And playing Torres on the left seems silly when you talk about bringing in wingers as well as you say.

I think our transfer list will be:
Lukaku (e20m)
Modric (£34m)
de Bruyne (e12m - dependant on injury)
possibly Di Maria (e35m), M'Vila (e20m), Hazard (e22m)
^^ all dependant on many factors and obviously wont all come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Turan has already moved

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, my valuations were out on that piece, apologies to people who queried them, didn't know Turan had gone AM, thanks for that info, but with this piece i was ideally looking comments in response to my points about the players, not my lack of sensible valuation :L

Fans of CFC are starting to become a little concerned with the lack of width and creativity there showing. Mentioning no names out of respect as a loyal fan, but obvious players will either have to really step up there game or be forced to move on. The fans understand that with the current lack of tekkers and creativity Chelsea have, there will be no chance the team will compete with the likes of United and Barca for the silverwair they so much desire. There's a whole lot of talk and rumours regarding transfer targets surrounding Chelsea, but so far there has been no type of move that has turned our heads, and made us look upon the new season with maybe a tad bit more belief.

I believe Chelsea will sign Modric and Nasri with Anelka and Kalou being offered to each club respectively, I also believe a deal will be done for Neymar and he will come in January, and we can also expect to see interest in Kaka and grow in the coming days.
CFC team from September will be

***********Cech***********

Bosingwa. Luiz. Terry. A.Cole

***********Modric*********

*****Ramires****Kaka*****

Sturridge****Torres****Nasri

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Reasonable other than Kaka. Too much hype about him, all talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

THAT WOULD BE A AMAZING TEAM CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN THE BAG

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, from the signings we have made the club is clearly turning to youth, and value for money, neither of which Kaka provides. I also doubt Nasri will come but his versatility would be good, and since when does Modric play infront of the back 4?

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka is still quality, and Modric can play and be creative in that role

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth could you play Bosingwa ahead of Ivanovic?

wit this current squad chelsea might as well not show for cl or epl becz we are not going to come close to winning it. I dont see us beating barca, madrid, city or even Man Utd wit players like lamps,slow mo flow mo and kalou in the team. The team has next to none existence of creativity and no width . I dont know why avb persists playing lamps instead of benyoun or josh who are more creative. If we dont buy modric/kaka and hazard/johnson expect us to finish 3rd in epl and be knocked out in the cl in the second round or quarter finals and AVB to be sacked just like carlo bec the of the boards unwillingness to invest in world class players e.g aguero and pastore {Ed002's Note - You clearly have no idea about the efforts that were made over Pastore and Aguero.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

In my opinion, we play Lamps for experience, a bit of solidity and a genuine goal threat in and around the box. I'm still a fan, as his game has adapted to be the man making the passes in the middle and his work-rate is still high. We're still looking for a long term replacement e.g. our push for Pastore, but I think we can wait until January or even next summer if we need to.

I know our mate 002 here doesn't really like to talk formations, but this is a subject I would like to pick up, nevertheless.

Our preferred 4-3-3 since TSO, has gotten us all of our big trophies to this day. The system requires a tough midfield and creative buzzing wing forwards with an ability to not only cross, but dribble and cut inside.

Most of you here remember our brilliant days of Robben and Duff. Speed, dribble and shoot is the name of the game. We still play the system, but don't have the needed requirements to be successful upfromt

we fans can expect and wait for the better to happen..
but, this time we might be a bit late I 'm afraid..
soccer is a great sport, and with great talents all around with many talents..
we shouldn't worry how much Aguero scored for whom..
they have D. Silva on the Middle, Dzeko up front, Y. Toure and others..
who are better combined than what we have now..
I believe, CHELSEA going to have such combinations very shortly...
We have Torres, and he is a wonderful player. More than 100 goals for A. Madrid and more than 50 for Liverpool.
When he gets together with STURRIGE and DROGBA (or LUKAKU), the real Blues will show up..
we now only need a creative midfielder and a winger, that AVB will shortly come up with..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Well said. Keep the faith Blue Boys AVB will be working hard with the board to get his attacking targets in, just trust in him. The squad is a few 'flair' players away from challenging on all fronts. our spine is second to none

I rate Torres but without the service he is inefectual, and sadly at present we dont have the squad that can supply that service, and unles we buy it will be the same as last season.
