Whats with all the negativity. We are not going to win every game. Its an improvement on last years result v Qpr. We where by far the better team. I just think we still lack that presence up top. Torres is a shadow of his former self. I think the problem we have is we spent £ 50m on a striker who was out of form, maybe due to being injured a lot or maybe being really unhappy at liverpool. His form for the 12 months before the move didnt justify the price we paid. I was one who through all this has believed in torres and hoped he could regain his early anfield form. Sadly hes had nearly two years and still looks a poor player at times. For me sturridge should start our next premier league game as hes unpredictable. Where as torres is two easily marked out the game. I think a inform striker needs to be brought in january along with a centre midfield player. Defensively we look solid but with us only really having torres up top, i think we will struggle for goals just like today.

How much service did Torres get? All we did was punt the ball up field to him, where he was isolated. Even if he managed to get the ball down, he had no options except to go at it alone against 3/4 defenders. If we had played with actual wingers then he would have had a bit more support in the final third. Ramires doesn't really have the skill to take players on (yes he has the pace but not really the skill) and Bertrand is a defender for a reason. We were also very slow with our build up, taking 30 passes just to get into their half. Yes the result was better than last years but we had 2 players sent off, so it's not that hard. Finally there's also a difference in being negative and critical. The only negative thing about today was our line-up. We were set out as if we were playing for a draw.

Thats what you get when you play 4-2-3-1, RDM better wise up and soon or he will get the chop before Christmas. Torres is N O T a lone striker ffs, Drogba showed what a lone striker is ment to be and Torres is far from it.

Sturridge? Really? We all know he has loads of tallent but u put him in torres' position of long-ball and no service and his attitude(his main weakness) would probably sink the team. To come on as a change of pace player suits him now.
Our MAIN problem ATM is not striker, its style of play and leaving loads of tallent on the bench.

RDM did amazingly well last season to win us two trophies considering the position we were in and yes we finished lower in the league than when he took over but it was obvious he prioritized cup competition. He seems to have continued the tactics he used last season which simply doesn't work with the players we now have. Those of us criticizing RDM aren't plastic fans/glory supporters. We of course still support our team and even RDM, it's just extremely frustrating that RDM can't seem to see that Lampard and Mikel don't work together. Well that and we wanted to thrash QPR and our performance was disappointing.

Yeah and some of us fans think it hard more to do with the fact that we had the players capable all along to win trophys but just wanted to make a point and have AVB sacked. Just goes to show how much Drogba ment to us goal wise, even though I despised the horrid defensive long bal tactics we played. We just dont seem to have a physically strong midfield, its like watching schoolboys playing pub teams most of the time.

Okay so a goal-less draw at our rivals isn't a great result considering the players we had available. I was gutted when seeing the starting 11 and not to see Moses playing. We are playing one of the worse teams in the league yet we insist on playing defensive, I can see why Torres stormed off. But on the other hand we are unbeaten and top of the league so let's not worry to much, RDM is doing a good job so far, just needs to be a be more expansive and attacking.

Bad team QPR?

Do not tell me now that QPR are a world class side.At this rate every team we play will be great team.Mate we were played off the park by an average side.We created in total three chances almost all were due to individuals.

We shouldn't even go defensive against any team other than city, united, arsenal and everton. Every other team should be beaten quite easily by the players we now have in attack. The way we played today reminds of something similar to last season.

Problem is not that we drew to QPR. Problem is we got outplayed by these small teams, negative tactics, using players out of position. We'll get run over by the bigger teams, the way we were drubbled by A.Madrid. There's quality enuf in this team to be up there wit d best, playing well. I respect RDM but I'm sorry for him.

When are we gonna stop crying about the Line-ups and our holding mids, this has been the case since our summer tour. ITS NOT GONNA CHANGE! We just have to support our team and current manager until RA makes the change.

Torres,Hazard had absolutely zero service,no wonder they were poor.Every ounce of scoring chance we had entirely dependent on them.
What QPR did was almost similar to what Athletico did.The only difference was that they had Falcao upfront.
They just put pressure on the players up the pitch and congested the midfield and and as we did not have an approach play we lumped the ball long to Torres and then the ball was won by their defender or when flicked on by Torres there was no one their in front of him to get it and what little of the ball we had was given away.With no approach play when the ball was was played to Torres and Hazard they had only one option that was to run with the ball and hence they were easily tackled and the ball was lost again.Most of the time it was two or one against four and with the others standing back they were constantly man marked and hence were stolen off the ball.And they attacked again and again.
Why the hell was Mikel and lampard on the pitch!Did anyone see how Mikel presented the ball straight to a QPR player when he played a back pass to Cech.
Torres had every right to be frustrated he played better than some of the players who played the whole game and still he was taken off when it was necessary for us to win the game.
RDM could have easily taken Mikel off and brought on Sturridge.
Even after Torres went off they had good scoring opportunities with Luiz saving our skins three times at the end.
The fact that except the first bit of good skill shown by Sturridge he also went missing speaks volumes of our midfield. Bertrand ahead of Oscar are you freaking kidding me that too against QPR.
Moses showed how good he was when he came on so some good signs there.
With the talent at our disposal RDM is giving us the perfect example of how to not utilized it.
The commentators were just please and were jacking themselves off through out the match seeing the way we played and as usual made Torres the culprit as soon as he was taken off.Barked how good QPR were.
And if RDM will keep this up he better off start to charge some money for giving Tony gayle he pleasure he so craves.
I am just frustrated by the lack of logic that is displayed by the manager.
The only one to blame is RDM anyone who disagrees is as blind and as thick as RDM.
For god's shake our approach play made players like Torres and Hazard ineffective,that speaks volumes about RDM and his tactics.

Really what lampard and mikel was doing in the midfield making no sense...and rdm should try the newer ones to these matches to gain confidence...and it make no sense why oscar has not been use because he is constantly performing for the national team...and i really don't understand what makes rdm playing so defensive when we have so many attacking minded player...if someone can't perform please give the others chance that's my point...!! You are right RDM seems like he only wanna play with that setup which kills me to see :( we have Oscar which is perfect for keeping the ball and controling the passes, hes the keyman for Brazils team and their OL team. Yet he is benched for Lampard and Mikel im sorry to say but, they are just too old and we have better players on the bench. we have people who shouldnt even be on the pitch and they are even in the wrong spot when they are playing. Oscar havent even started and Romeu which is a natural DM hasent even played for a looong time since RDM took over, hes young and could be far better than mikel ever where IF Romeu gets some playing time. And maybe hes even going back to Barcelona if we dont use him that says hes not useless as RDM thinks. Also i really dont know why he is playing so defensive? i mean the new teams dont use 7 defenders as we did against QPR?? i tought they said we were going to play offensive tik-tak football. Also i hope Terry can start rotating with Cahill he dont get alot of playing time and tbh he is better than him atm, he is getting a little old now even tho he refuse to see it.
Back to Oscar i really think RDM underrated this kid! I think he can get as good as Hazard in a few years obviously hes just playing a little different, and its sad to see he is benched for Bertrand who is a defender, or Lampard who really isnt a good enough for this yet and maybe never wil.
Overall i just think if RDM dosent see it soon then he'll be fired because we wil lose ALOT of games and play boring, and hopefully my wish thinking guardiola wil fix it. and im sure he wil find out who is the best DM we have is (he played DM himself).

Not real Chelsea fans? Hmmm. What ever. He makes us play rubbishe football even though we have amazing attack minded players. Mikel lampard is a no no in a 4231, especially when we have Romeu and ramires who haven't even played or played in their natural position so far this season. Bertrand and ramires aren't wingers. One a left back ones a centre mid. How can anyone say he's the best? If he was that good surely we would be able to keep possession and learn to pass forward from midfield? If our two mods played like this for united, city, or arsenal. Or even stoke! The managers would of had them dropped. And constantly playing players out of position, what's that all about?

Hey guys. After failing to score a goal against Qpr (which swansea scored '5' goals against) do you think he maybe realise he cannot play deffenders as wings and offensive players as defence when they do not have any experience?
I really think its stupid to play Bertrand as a winger, id rather see him taking lampards place, in the mid defensive and have Hazard take Bertrands place on the left wing and put Oscar in the middle. It would be quite abit better defending and more control on the ball which Oscar is awesome at. Could maybe even have Ramires take mikkels place and have Mata play right wing. Ramires would be able to sprint back very fast compared to mikel/lampard (when hes in place), and dont lose players like they do sometimes. Sometimes i think he is afraid of replacing the older guys, Lampard is NOT playing well at the place where he is at the moment and neither does Bertrand.

Do you guys believe thats true? give some input and ideas!

It's perfetic that a manager at a top club does this, not just for one game but constantly. Bertrand is a left back. Ramires is a centre mid. We had mosses and sturridge who can play wide, Oscar who could have been centrally and hazard wide. Lampard and Mikel still aren't passing the ball quick enough. I'm sorry but they ain't the right pairing for midfield. Our best so far was Mikel and meireles. I personally. Think our best is ramires Romeu. Marin is fit now so that's a plus. Luiz played well. Torres ain't at fault no matter what anyone says. He didn't have one overt unity because of this slow passing. Its a joke. Roll on pep coming in. BLUEBOY1

Exactly ed, why do u think he stormed down the tunnel. RDM ain't no good. Fair enough he got lucky last year but really doesn't have a clue. {Ed061's Note - I don't like the term 'lucky' you used, implies the team don't deserve what they do. He was thrown into a position due to AVB sacking. His team won trophies for him, I believe they will again. His tactics may not be the reason.}

DID U WATCH THE GAME! brushed off the ball like a girl never came looking for it hands on hips YET again and then mugs himself off by storming down the tunnel when he offerd nufing all game

Poor line-up. Bad refereeing decisions. Bad substitutes. Why was Oscar not put on? Torres had a poor game but didn't really get much service. Has every right to feel frustrated but I think he should of stayed to watch the rest of the game. Gotta wonder what RDM is gonna do next game. {Ed061's Note - It seems likely he will do something similar unfortunately.}

Yeah most likely. Especially since its the Champions League. Mikel and Lampard individually had bright sparks, but they really don't work together. RDM is gonna have to learn some new tactics if we're going to have a chance of winning any trophy this season. Defensive tactics against weaker teams isn't going to get us anywhere.

Tbh I hadn't noticed he was on the field till 10 mins after he was subbed. But he was pretty decent.

Remember, he cameon for Bertrand and was originally put on the left wing, he then switched to right after about 7min {Ed018's Note - Moses should've started. The whole Bertrand at left wing thing needs to stop. It served its purpose last season but QPR isn't Bayern Munich}

To be honest I think this is well to defensive against a team like QPR would of liked to see either Moses or Oscar start ahead of Bertrand or ramires but ramires dropping into DM for mikel or lampard.

Hmm..away game today, at a very hostile and unique ground.The players will no doubt be fired up for the match ,but they have to dig deep in order to win.
I sincerely hope Moses starts on the right and Ramires in the middle,as many have said RDM is wasting him by playing him on the right hand side.
But we all know what RDM will do.If we start with the usual it is all upto the front three to bang in the goals.
2-1 to us ,it will be a feisty affair.
