Guys always expect the unexpected ... Throughout march April and may of this year I got so annoyed when people mentioned hazard coming to Chelsea. To me it was never a possibility. All im saying is , falcao or neymar, don't rule it out

I would go with neymar any day of the year let alone the week. The boy has amazing talent period! His technical ability is second to none and I personally think he would cut it here in england. Maybe not as a lone striker at first but definitely as a aml or amr. Look at ronaldo when he first came to England. Same sort of player, but with a little nurturing became one of the worlds best player. Neymar I believe has more natural ability to beat a man and is already a great finisher of the ball. Roman should go all out to sign before one of our rivals do because this lad WILL be a world beater!! Watch this space.. Headhunter GT

While I agree with your entire statement comparing Ronaldo and neymar physically is a little bit off. Ronaldo is a freak of nature physically while neymar is rather diminutive. Zola or perhaps hazard may be a better comparison.

I hope RDM makes rite team selection for starting XI against tottenham this weekend.....

Lampard- out
i personally think Lampard should be benched for this match.....
lampard is good in going forward but lot of times he has been out of position when we faced counter attack by opposition......
spurs are really good in counter attacking and lampard when out of position doesn't have that pace now to fall back and cover our defence.........

Mikel out-romeu in.......
i would prefer romeu in pivot alongside ramires rather than mikel......
mikel is one of slow passer of the ball.....
mikel is one kind of better physical presence in our midfield......
but taking into account our opponent-tottenham and their way of playing football.....
we need more techinically good player in defensive midfielder rather than just physical player.....
and romeu is better in it he can controll the ball nicely and he can pass the ball quickly forward and will really complement ramires well......

Cahill-In, Terry-Out
i would like Cahill to start but not at the expense of david luiz instead of j. terry......
many of you will be surprised leaving j. terry out.....
but i guess our defenders has to be on toes everytime against pacy spurs attacking players/striker......
i will just select cahill n luiz ahead of terry because of pace to tackle with the likes of bale-lenon-defoe......

my prefered lineup against tottenham......

---------------------------CECH-------------------------

IVANOVIC----------LUIZ-------CAHILL---------COLE

-----------------RAMIRES-------ROMEU---------------

MATA-------------------OSCAR---------------HAZARD

-------------------------TORRES------------------------

possible lineup RDM will start with.......

---------------------------CECH-------------------------

IVANOVIC----------LUIZ-------TERRY---------COLE

-----------------RAMIRES-------MIKEL---------------

MATA-------------------OSCAR---------------HAZARD

-------------------------TORRES------------------------

Well guys i just wanna ask you.......
In next summer transfer window whom you will prefer.......

Falcao:
posn-striker
age-27.5 yrs
expected transfer fee- 46m pounds
proven goal scorer in europe...
in his peak form.....
will easily adapt premier league football......

Neymar:
posn- striker/winger
age-21 yrs
expected transfer fee- 40m pounds
extremly talented........
much younger......
will get better and better only yet to see his best form....
still not proven in europe.......
physically weak to play as striker role in epl against physically strong teams like stoke, whu etc....

i would personally go with neymar.....

wat about ur opinions guys!!!!!!!!

If Neymar was 40 million pounds he would have left santos a long time ago.

ELI

Agree4 Disagree1

Neymar is not going to Chelsea. Period. Now please stop kiddin yourself

Agree0 Disagree5

You wil not get Neymar for that price :)
He is gonna be VERY expensive but then again - he could sell a crazy ammount of shirts in South America and photorights etc, for the Club to get the money back easily if he stays over a longer period.

Agree3 Disagree0

Well i just said 40m punds transfer fee taking into account he finishes his contract in 2014......
so when we actually approaches for neymar in next summer 2013.....
he will be having just 1 year left in his contract.....
which will definitely make his transfer fee little lesser......

samrat

Agree4 Disagree0

The circus is the reason neymar hasn't left. Teams have thrown around massive amounts of quid but he hasn't came. I agree the fee will be higher but it's not the main reason for the hold up.

Agree2 Disagree0

I would go with neymar strictly because of his age and for the future, only problem is real or barca will come knocking with 90million and he will wanna go. i also think our brazilian boys may convince him. got that feeling.
but if we want immediate success and a goal score then go with falcao. obviously the best striker around at the moment. but 27 now 28 by next season might only get 2 or 3 seasons out of him for 50 million. neymar will get 3 seasons and a mighty profit or even better stay with us for 8 years. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

The price wasn't really the issue. Neymar didn't want to leave Brazil yet and Santos don't need to sell him. And yes next year he'll be in the last year of his contract, which means £40m seems very high in prospective.

RDM really does favour his players on how personally like them as people not how they actually play. mikel is hardly an unsung hero at the bridge

Believable5 Unbelievable1

How can you say that? For all you know he hates mikel but just likes the way he plays

Agree0 Disagree3

I do agree that he use Mikel a little too much instead of Romeu but, it is kinda up to him to select who would he would chose and see fit for the best of the team. I personally do not see him as the best option at the moment but i am not Matteo. The stuff about every other manager but AVB that used him is because he was younger, better, faster, back then.

Mikel will be out in Jan/Feb. Romeu will definitely have a run of games; until then. But at least, we saw he couldn't soak d pressure against United last season in d 3-3 draw.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well if you never really play and then get in against united, thats not really a spurise you are having a hard time against pressure and very good players.

15 Oct 2012 23:19:37
Well, he had been playing b4 the United game. Remember AVB dropped Mikel after that Liverpool game? He preferred Romeu and results weren't better either. Let's stop all this sentiment.

Agree1 Disagree1

Last comments shouldn't have anything do do with Romeu in the 4-2-3-1 alongside Ramires. I'm pretty sure a lot of things were different last year under AVB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Our results weren't better because some of the players egos got in the way and didn't like avb. BLUEBOY1

Ed002 I think you said in the summer that the club would be open to selling Torres if the right offer came in.
Is that still the case? {Ed061's Note - The club would b open to selling any player 'at the right price' mate.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So you think they'd consider selling someone like Oscar if the right offer was made? No chance. We've proved over the years we're not a selling club.

Ads

Agree1 Disagree1

Well I bet we would sell if they offered 100mil or something mad like that.

Agree2 Disagree1

Apart from robben we do normally allow our players to run out their contracts rather than sell them..

Dave {Ed002's Note - Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Borini, .......}

Agree2 Disagree1

I wouldn't sell Oscar for 100m

Jordan

Agree5 Disagree1

Are you kiddings Ads? If we were offered 100m for any player we would snap their hands off. You think we would turn down the biggest transfer fee in history too hold on to a 20yo who shows a boatload of potential? I know we as fans love the players, but Chelsea as a business is more concerned about turning a profit.

Melbourne CFC

Agree1 Disagree3

Melbourne someone offering 100 mil is unrealistic though and wouldn't happen. What I was getting at is if a team were to offer 35-40 mil which is more realistic I don't think we'd sell.

Ads

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Ads, and sorry mate I thought you had thrown the 100m figure out first, realised its the poster after you. But if you think for a second if someone offered us 50m pounds for Oscar, we wouldnt sell him, your dreaming.

That would amount to a 100% profit within 6 months. I am not saying I would want him sold, hell I'd probably be pissed off if we even accepted 75m but that is because I am a fan. The club is a business, and as such makes decisions based on things, we as fans don't take into consideration. Any player at Chelsea can be bought 'for the right price'. This is a sentiment that has been expressed by Ed002 more than once.

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope it doesn't happen anyway and we can then watch Oscar hopefully turn out to be one of the best midfielders in the world whilst playing for chelsea.

I hate International weeks. So boring without any Prem or Champs League Games.

Can't wait for the Spurs game, think we can do them by 2 or 3 if we get the tactics right. I think we have to play Rami in the middle alongside Romeu or Mikel. Keep Mata, Oscar and Hazard behind Nando, theres no way their defence can deal with that, our front 4 are too good for them. Centre backs i dont mind, for me all 3 are steady and i'd be happy to see any of them play. Left back Ash. And right back i think i'd like to see Cesar play, although i think RDM will stick with Brana, which i understand. I just think if Brana is to play then he needs to improve on his tracking back and defending, otherwise Bale will rip him to shreds. If Cesar plays then i think he has the pace to deal with Bale and will want to show he can, so he'll be on his game.

Spurs will only score if we let them counter on us with pace, stop them doing this and we'll keep a clean sheet. I don't see one player in their team like Mata, Oscar and Hazard, who can open defences in tight spaces with a disguised pass or trick. Their danger is in the pace with which they break, stop them doing this and you stop their threat. If we keep a tight game and hold onto possession then the goal will come, we have enough quality to get 1 or 2. As soon as they win the ball back from us, then the front 4 have to work their boll*ks off to get it back straight away and cut off the ball off into the wingers. This will give the back 6 time to get back into shape and stay tight, effectively stopping their threat of a quick counter as they will have no space to utilise.

AVB and Spurs were a match made in heaven, they have the players he needs to implement the way he wants his teams to play. But we know him inside out, so we should be able to deal with it. If we don't deal with them, then i'll be dissapointed. Our players are also alot better.

Thats my thoughts anyway, if any are different then please share.

I think gareth bale, dembele, defoe, dempsey, sigurdson, lennon and adebayor have all got goals in them to be fair, if nando doesnt score again, whose gonna get the goals? i can see spurs strolling this game to be fair, they are on a good run now plus we are all seeing that avb is a good manager who just needed to go to chelsea when the likes of terry, drogba, lamps and cole were finished playing and the full backing of mr abramovich

Agree1 Disagree6

Yer Spurs might have goals in them but against the stingiest team at allowing goals in the Epl we'll be fine. The problem the Spuds have is that they let in too many.

^^ Blatant spuds fan.

Agree3 Disagree0

I'm the post who wrote about spurs players, EH17, just to let u know mate I am definitely not a spuds fan, I honestly believe that they will beat u comfortably, they are playing very well now, I know Chelsea are aswel but with home advantage I think they will win, plus about avb, u can't say that terry, drogba, cole and especially lampard made it easy for him, that's why I think if he went to Chelsea in 2-3 years time without those players then I believe he would of been a big success, I think Chelsea will go close this season but feel man city are to strong for anyone else this season, oh by the way I'm a Celtic fan so I'm just commenting as a neutral
