What's happened to Malouda and Ferreira? Can anybody tell me where they've been? {Ed002's Note - Ferreira was on teh bench last week. Malouda has been in the gym now and again.}

Malouda was told he was no longer a part of Chelsea's future plans, and requested a transfer which was granted. He made his desire known, that Brazil was his preferred destination, as his wife is Brazilian. He had discussions with Santos, however, his wage was a stumbling block which could not be overcome. Once the window closed, he was made to train with the youths, away from the senior squad, which is where he remains.

Paulo has not been an important senior player for a couple of seasons now, but is considered a very good mentor for the younger players. I have heard a rumour that he will be retiring at the end of this season, and will take up a role in the coaching department with the youth set up. Hope this helps mate.

To me Paulo Ferreira is our most committed player, fp hes hardly played any football and he still does interviews and sounds very happy. He's should be a role model for every young aspiring footballer. Appreciate where you are even when your not playing!!
