Ed, what do you prefer? a situation like this where you get tons of questions about the same player? (Hulk in this case) Or the questions about completely random players? {Ed013's Note - We don't mind, although the same question over and over again gets boring}

Ed002, Is it likely that Chelsea will be spending big this summer on new players or are they more likely to tweak the squad? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea will spend a bundle.}

Eds are we not just making the same mistakes as we do every year,looking to purchase players without even having a full time manager with their own ideas.Do you know of any approach to bring mourinho back or is he the preferred choice of the Chelsea board.Last season you talked of a plan A and plan B.Im guessing AVB was plan A,and that turned out to be a terrible decision.Is plan B mourinhos return.On the plus side really looking forward to champions league final,bayern have great attacking players but we can cause there defence lots of problems as I see that as a major weak point in bayerns team.2-1 to Chelsea drogba and lampard

its been reported this morning that chelsea could activate demba ba release clause, any thoughts ed? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Demba Ba is potentially one injury from retirement. I wouldn't buy him even for the £7m or whatever it is quoted. Injury prone until before his Newcastle days with dodgy knees.

The four transfers i want at chelsea this season:

Jovetic: can play out wide, behind the striker or as a striker himself, could be a strong goal scorer as well as provider. A striker who could play with Torres rather than in direct competition.

Hulk: A huge talent and a player who most Chelsea fans would love to see at the club. Can score, and create.

Fernando: A sensational midfielder, he reminds me of Ramires, slightly slower but he can read the game better, and is a strong tackler. I am a huge fan of this player and i hope we go back in for him.

Cesar: I think we need a new RB, he is young and gifted and i hope we can get to him before Man U.

--------Cech--------
Cesar--Luiz--Terry--Cole
---Ramires--Fernando---
Hulk---Jovetic---Mata--
-------Torres-------

I think that is a strong team, a very tough midfield, and an exciting attack, full of goals. The only problem might be linking attack and midfield but both Ramires and Fernando have so much energy that it should not be to much of a problem.

Just wondering Ed are we still interested in Jovetic and Fernando? Cheers.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Mate, Chelsea have interest in Fernando and Jovetic. Fernando is being monitored and a move may be considered if he became available. This is the same with Jovetic. But I agree that Fernando is a beast of a player.

Ramires, to me, has shown he is a box-to-box player who prefers the attack. I think that formation is good, but not those players. I would love those signings, but I think it would show our lack of depth in the holding role, as I don't quite see Romeu as ready and haven't rated Mikel in a while. Great attack there though, and I wouldn't mind Azpilicueta.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will just add one more signing it is Moura...

Could Drogba move to Barca ED? are they interested? {Ed013's Note - In my honest opinion, No. They don't need him and I would have thought if he doesn't get a new deal at Chelsea he will move to China to pick up some easy money}

We need sturridge to offer the speed and creativity the team lacks, especially without rami. If he can lift for the biggest game of his career and play for the team, track back to help bos, i think he needs to start.

Torres to come on for Kalou depending on score at 60 odd minutes and go 2 upfront with Torres and Drogba.

We need to attack from the outset. Essien to come on for Mikel once again depending on score around 75 mins to holding role alone and have lampard and mata behind torres on the left, drogba in the middle, sturridge on the right.

This will definatly be the line-up except maybe he robbie wont play torres, but i think its definately woth playin him out there because studge is the only other option and he has been our worst player for weeks..

Cesar. Cahill Luiz. Cole

Romeu. Ramires

Hulk. Mata. Marin

Torres

That's probably as good as 3rd-4th place, realisticly. I doubt this is our goal. We surely need more quality than this.

Terry should, but more importantly will, still start next season...who would captain your side?

Ivanovic would still start for me at RB.

Would rather see Javi Martinez or Fernando come in for Romeu.

Marin is a squad player for me, not a starter. Need another new CAM or LW.

Appart from that I agree with the side.

Agree3 Disagree0

No, i am as serious as cancer. One Hulk and one Marin won't get us to the top of the league. This 11 is nowhere near able to challenge Man City of today and let alone the City and Utd after they spend. One to catch City, the other to challenge Europe. We are 25 points off them. And that is as good as we are.

Azpiliqueta is not my type of player at all, plus he is Mata's size and hasn't been exceptional at any age group through his career. I am confused with our interest in him at all.

Marin. Have you seen him play recently, or do you rely on the story, that he was played out of position? Remember we got him on bargain and he would be our Malouda at best next term. He will need some adjustment again, while he couldn't adjust to playing in a hole. This only leaves us with Hulk. And he won't carry us on his shoulders alone to another level.

Like i said we seriously need way more than that. And we seriously need quality players to rotate. We can't allow ourselves another winter disaster. It has been happening to us for three seasons in a row now, where we get out of 5-6 december games with 6 points or so. This costs us our season and the management doesn't do s**t about it. It drives me mad. We can't go into the season with 4-5 kids on the bench and a couple who ain't good to start, out of shape or so. We are seriously lacking in team siz and blance.

Hey Ed, what is so significant about the 7th of june regarding players from Brazil? also are chelsea looking to tie up deals like they did with Marin or will they wait for the window to open??
cheers {Ed002's Note - There is nothing "so significant" with that date. There are no hidden messages in it.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hey ED, I think what this guy is trying to say is why the 7th June? Why will there only be new info after 7th June.

I couldnt really care less about its significance tbh but I think this guy wants to know ;)

Cheers ED

Samir {Ed002's Note - Ok, thanks for clarifying his post.}

Ed(s), from the information you have - what area of the pitch do you see Chelsea putting most emphasis on this summer? It surprises me to see a lot of forwards mentioned and very few central players. {Ed002's Note - I imagine the green bit.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

ED002, your witty sarcasm literally blows my mind!

Just a quick question, Are Chelsea actually looking for another major overhaul seen during Jose Mourihno's time, or are we just going to buy a couple
of players to add to the team?

Thanks ED!

Samir {Ed002's Note - Yes and it has been in hand for a while. However the club will not buy alternate players for the sake of desired targets not being available - so it may well carry on until next year.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh okay. When you say Chelsea might not overhaul if they cannot get their desired targets, is that because the other teams are playing hardball other transfer value or too much competition for those players or what?

(Also by the desired targets, you mean the likes of Hulk, Cavani, Moutinho and Moura right?)

Thanks again ED!

Samir {Ed002's Note - It can be any number of reasons, teams not wanting to sell, players not wanting to move, transfer fees too high, wages too high. I don't want to get in to anmes.}

Ephemeral pleasures of having glacacticos have to take a back-seat for a bright future. look at juventes. they are a great club and due to some issues were even relegated couple of years ago. now look at them, apart from del piero and buffon their team is of home grown players. and they just won serie A.

true fans won't mind one or two bad seasons.
