This would be a great first 11 next season,
But we are in desperate need of a RB
Who are the main targets eds?

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Please get Lampard out of there, He's been a great servant to the club but he simply dont got it anymore. Wheres Ramires? put him in there an have Lampard as a bench player if you must.

Agree11 Disagree0

I'm gonna say that would be a good starting line up if we had somebody sent off before the game

Agree10 Disagree0

It only has 10 players

Agree10 Disagree2

"It only has 10 players"

You're right... not sure why someone would vote "disagree" on your comment though. Maybe they're as illiterate as the original poster haha

Agree10 Disagree1

Push modric back to more of a holding role , put Ramires next to lamps and I'm happy.

Looks like it will be another one of them summer's where a lot was promised and we are now about to sign Lakaku What are we going to with him we have NO falir players we offer for pastore and dont follow it up if Palermo are such a hard club to deal with WHY make a bid in the first place, We leave everything to the last 2 weeks and we end up signing noone ANY football fan can see we need a playmaker and a winger Yet we still have signed none and are going for another striker WHEN WILL CHELSEA LEARN

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Give it a rest mate the club are doing everything they can, admittedly it is taking longer than anyone would like but players will be coming in. just give it time

Croatia have produced some great forward midfielders. I recall Velimir Zajec who played for Panathinaikos and led them to the champions league semis back in th 80s.

Believable0 Unbelievable10

Zajec was CD, played for Dinamo Zagreb and Panathenaikos.
Ex YU Midfielders born in Croatia: Boban(AC Milan Cap.) Prosine ki(Red Star Belgrade won eur.champ.with him, Real Madrid, Barcelona) thease were MIDFIELDERS Modric is s**t compared to them.

I seriously think Chelsea will pull off a massive, massive signing before before September 1.

Be patient & KTTBFFH {Ed018's Note - exactly, theres a long time to go yet}

Believable11 Unbelievable2

One massive, massive signing, as you say, would not be enough.

Agree12 Disagree0

Need at least thee signings no matter hom massive

Agree12 Disagree0

Obviously ...... when I say massive I am alluding to a SINGLE signing that may take our breath away. It may come out of the blue or it may come about as a result of weeks of nail -biting negotiation . I'm confident we'll get that premier acquisition. Of course we're gonna sign more than one player...jeez

Agree1 Disagree10

Yeah Kaka......Great

Hi there Ed(s)
Just wondering what positions you think we need players in? And also which transfer targets do you THINK we should get there, regardless of whether you think IT WILL HAPPEN? Just thought I'd make it clear so people don't say stupid things
Grateful as always
Mo {Ed002's Note - I am afraid I will get trashed if I start making such predictions or sharing such thoughts.}

Believable6 Unbelievable13

Ok I do appreciate this, and that's exactly why I wrote that post the way I did. Assuming most of the people who do react in that stupid way don't read replies, especially on banter, any chance of your views? @EVERYONE ELSE WHO CAN'T HANDLE SIMPLE VIEWS this doesn't mean it will happen, don't take his word on this, hold me responsible if anythings wrong, take some time to actually read the note at the bottom of the page.
Thanks Ed,
Mo {Ed002's Note - Sorry - it never comes out that way.}

Agree6 Disagree12

You know what's really boring? It's how people (or one particular person) try to rephrase the same question day after day after day, expecting ed002 to suddenly fall for it.

How many times does ed002 have to say that he won't answer these types of questions? {Ed018's Note - probabaly 5 times each day for the next month and a half}

Agree12 Disagree3

Ok, so, anyway, who do you think we may bring in before deadline day then? Lol

Personally, I think a few youngsters, like lukaku, coutois, and hopefully de bruyne (its foolish as I've never seen him play), but I think of him as the next robben, hopefully a right back, a wingers (at the moment I'm leaning to di Maria as likely) and either aguero it pastore, I think losing out on one will spur us toward the other. {Ed018's Note -

Agree0 Disagree9

OK well I'm soooooooooo sorry for trying to ask for a simple view, then rightly defending someone against other people, and finally stopping when I realise it's not going to happen. I see now how stupid/boring/whatever-else-you've-called-me I've been to people (or one particular person). I "probabaly" won't ask a question again.
I appreciate the incredible opinions of whoever wrote that reply, and thanks Ed for the work you do on the site.
Mo {Ed002's Note -

Agree5 Disagree7

P.S this is actually the first and only time I've asked/will ask this question
Mo

Mo"

Riiiiight... and we all have specific user names and IP addresses added to our posts to show that we're different people.

This is the anonymous internet dude. For all we know you've been posting here for months... {Ed002's Note - It is not entirely anonymouse - we have your IP addresses and control your web cams. Please don't pick that.}

Agree6 Disagree0

Haha I know. Anonymous for us, but you all know who we are (or at least our IP addresses)

Agree5 Disagree0

The "probabaly" bit was a reference to the misspelling of the word by the ED, hence the inverted commas. I can, just about, spell "probably".
Mo

Agree1 Disagree5

Who cares? 99% of the people who post here misspell words. Ed018 can misspell all day and night for all I care. He's not annoying like you.

Agree4 Disagree1

Well obviously whoever posted the comment quoting me cared. People were criticising me for being "stupid" and "boring", so I thought I'd chip in my bit. Obviously if I wanted to correct all the spellings on the site, I could, but evidently I haven't.
Thanks anyway,
Mo

Agree0 Disagree3

Well, you 've got one thing right - you're stupid and boring.

Did you even read what I wrote after I quoted you? It wasn't for you to gloat over catching ed018 misspelling a word.

who is the most likely signing apart from coutoius ed002? {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to answer that with confidence.}

Believable0 Unbelievable10

Modric.

15 Jul 2011 13:24:13
Ed You answered yes to my question below.
I was merely asking who the experienced players we are trying to sign are and how realistic it was we would get them other than Modric which is well documented. {Ed002's Note - You did not ask who, you asked "Do we still have plans ..." and I answered "yes" correctly. The players are as discussed regularly on these pages. The club have also been asked to bid again for Pastore - I suspect Palermo are looking for more money.}

Believable0 Unbelievable11

Ed will we bid {Ed002's Note - I suspect that the same offer will be made. I don't think Chelsea wish to enter in to any games that Palermo wish to play.}

Why the Hell is Lakaku even being considered we need flair players who can change games with moments of magic, All we ever do is buy big power players we have never had a play maker since robben left Malouda is useless Anelka is poor How is Kalou still even in a Chelsea top, Why don't we just buy aguero we have been linked for years for him now the time comes when he is ready to leave and we are in for Lakaku when we are supposedly having a squad refresh

Believable13 Unbelievable0

I have a feeling we could be seeing aguero in a chelsea shirt next season, tbh i think he wants it but he just wants money more.

Agree14 Disagree1

I agree, we should do whatever it takes to sign Aguero.

Agree3 Disagree13

Aguero is asking for a massive wage package, but I still say he's worth it. Top class player, Chelsea's problem is that they are very stubbern and wont be taken for granted. The club has lots of money, and all the top players no this.

Agree0 Disagree13

"Chelsea's problem is that they are very stubbern and wont be taken for granted. The club has lots of money..."

Why do you incessantly ignore the upcoming FFP rules and endorse spending stupid money for players? I know that you're the same person because you always spell "stubborn" wrong.

If you were the owner we'd be in the red billions of pounds. Don't ever get into business.

at the way things are going (targets commiting to their clubs/moving to other clubs)i can see its going to be another dissapointing summer transfer window, plenty of talk but with no action.PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY CHELSEA

Ok were not going to sign anybody

Let's look at the facts: Modric wants to leave. Levy will not let him. Surely, instead of coming back with more offers only to be rediculed by Levy and Redknapp of all people, couldn't we just ask in private if what offer would be accepted? If the private answer were a no then we would move away and not getting dragged in this rediculous chase?

Believable2 Unbelievable15

I would'nt be suprised if this has'nt already happened. I get the feeling that Levy is trying to make an egsample out of the whole Modric situation. And that smaller clubs are getting tyred of there best players being poached and dictating there own futures.

ed016, like a number of Chelsea fans, or should I say majority, im starting to get a little frustrated. The lack of movement in the window is really starting to become somewhat of a cause for concern. Why are things moving so slow and if we have placed bids for certain targets then why are there clubs dragging things out so long? Im starting to think that the club have only one target (Luka Modric) and believe that this is all that is required to bring more creativity to our team. Lampard is past it and does absolutley nothing for me anymore, he should only be making the bench next season at most and nothing more. We need more than one central attacking mid, I hope that this is something AVB and RDM have identified as one of our weakest areas otherwise were screwed. {Ed018's Note - yea but whos ed016}

Believable1 Unbelievable15

"like a number of Chelsea fans, or should I say majority..."

Speak for yourself buddy. A handful of drama queen "supporters" who post on this website doesn't make a majority.

Agree15 Disagree0

Make no mistake. If we don't sign a midfielder, striker and a right back we can forget the league never mind the champions league. I am starting to believe that Roman's transfer advisors are a bunch of jokers.

Agree3 Disagree15

To be fair we did sign Luiz and Torres in January, I belive we will be adding to the squad. Yes its frustrating having to wait. I can see us landing 3 or 4 players it just takes time, we are up against it as the moment we want a player the clubs ask for silly money.

Agree15 Disagree0

I meant ed018, sorry. and who's this goon calling a drama queen. Its not just the ones on this site that are concerned. When I said the majority I meant the majority. Every fan I speak to or hear on the radio is saying the same thing so its not just a handfull im afraid. Can you explain our lack of movement in the transfer window? or are you simply happy with old ass Frank Lampard and co for another season?

There are talks about players scheduled for today, over the weekend and next week.}

Agree1 Disagree13

I agree

I wager that there are millions of Chelsea supporters on Earth. You've had the opportunity to talk to and listen to hundreds of thousands? Well, aren't you a special one.

With you penchant for overreaction and exaggeration I wouldn't be casting aspersions on others if I were you, Little Miss Drama Queen.

Great news that Falcao is staying with Porto. Let hope this triggers a few moves in the Market so we dont miss out on other much better targets. Modric would be o.k - but let's nail down on Aguero, Lukaku and another midfielder. Pastore/ Mata preferably and if not Di Maria or Moutinho. Not a rumour, just a thought

Believable1 Unbelievable18

How good is this lukaku cos haven't seen much of him and lot of people mention him?

Agree0 Disagree13

Lukaku is a "younger" version of Drogba. Personally, I feel that his play tailed off a bit last season. No way is he worth what Anderlecht have valued him at. Last couple of days I've seen £30M bounced around. At the beginning of June it was around £20M. {Ed002's Note - 30M euros is what Anderlect want - 20M euros is what Chelsea will likely pay. WE should no more in a day or two as there are some discussions planned today and tomorrow.}

Agree12 Disagree0

YouTube him my friend. Great talent.

Agree0 Disagree12

I saw a video of Arsenal's Denilson on YouTube that made him look like Ronaldinho in his prime. He was far from that. 16 goals in 37 Anderlecht appearnces last season for Lukaku and he only recently turned 18. I was hoping less money could be paid if De Bruyne was involved in a loan deal the other way. This was only a rumour around a while ago though, not sure about any truth in it.
