Does anyone think man city are getting rid of Mancini just to enter the Jose race
Mancini just signed a 5 year deal so why sack him now???
Roman act now give him what he wants and let him get us to the top again bring Jose home to the bridge worry about falcao Fellaini or paulinho later just get Jose back and you can sign anyone you want as they will want to play for us if he is at the bridge

Fellaini will be a misfit at Chelsea.

As much as Falcao

I couldn't careless about Fellaini I was just saying get Jose b4 you sign anyone he will make more of a difference to the club than a 60 mill striker or a 30 mill midfielder from everton

I have read a few stories about Barcelona being interested in David Luiz. It would be such a shame if he left! He is so talented, versatile, always gives his all and is loved by the fans and of course the Bridge kids. Do you think Chelsea might sell him? I really hope not!

I don't know who made him a CB.
He is awful in the defence.

Hi Ed,

Two questions:
1) you said that Petr Cech is likely to leave in the summer, which clubs would likely be interested?

2) Do you see Gareth Bale leaving Tottenham in the summer, if so, what clubs would be interested?

{Ed002's Note - (1) MI don't recall anything like that - point me at the message. (2) Bale interests Madrid.}

Sorry my mistake I read your response wrong Ed. it was concerning Melbourne's comment on the rumour page.

My team to play Brentford:

Cech

Azpi Luiz Terry Bertrand

Mikel Rami

Oscar Mata Hazard

Ba

I'd put Moses in instead of Hazard if he's fit, and would happily have Cahill in instead of Luiz too. I think we need experience like Cech and Terry. I also know it's a strong team, but I think we need a good result like a 4/5-0 right now and that team could do it. We've missed Moses so much!

I think we will rest cech with his recent injuries, mata or hazard rested, Ba to start Marin maybe terry will start too

Agree1 Disagree1

I think Mata or Hazard will be rested, maybe both.

Abramovich should just buy Gareth Bale and stick him up front

Funny how we say that UTD play bad and still win and that's what we need to do. We play bad away I'm Europe and get slated.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Problem with us we play bad almost every game and win too seldom. United win most of the time, no matter how good, bad or average they may look. With United you don't see two or let alone three bad games in sequence. Oursekves - we can't patch two good games in a row.

Really, utd had a stretch of late game winners and comebacks from being behind late, I guess those were great games in a row. As far as I can see our only problem has been clincal finishing and bad striker play at times. I can't remember the last match in the bpl that got away from us where we didn't even have the chance to get a point, our losses have been close we just need to finish better and teach some players to keep their shots low and on target.

Bluelab.

Agree2 Disagree0

Actually from recent form it isn't entirely because we aren't clinical. We had 2-0 leads and squandered them. Something our defence is at fault for.

Wasnt a good game yesterday. It would be stupid to suggest it was but did we lose? Reading some comments on here you would have thought so but guess what we won!
The suspension of Luiz the fact that Moses and Mikel were not available, the fact that we have played 17 games more than Sparta since 5 Decemeber, the freezing weather in Prague, the need to achieve a balance between putting out as weak a team as possible but at the same time the need to get the job done suggested to me this game was never going to be the cake walk that some suggested or shoud I say hoped for
Next Thursday Terry ( unless he is injured) will have played a full game, so he, Mikel, Luiz, Moses & Cole will all start as I guess will Oscar.
When you get to the knock out stages of European games the key is not to lose away and that has been achieved.
No I wasnt disappointed with the outcome of yeterdays game for we now have an away goal in the bag and the home game to follow.

Winning 1-0 away does not create an away goal advantage

Agree1 Disagree2

How does all that account for the fact that we rushed going forward and we messed up the final pass or we shot a sreamer? Which factor affected that exactlly? The cold, the 17 games, the absense of Moses and Mikel? It was Sparta Prague we are talking about here. We should have won 5-0. Proitos

Agree2 Disagree1

AnHeres what Article 8 of the Europa Cup rules state:

For matches played under the knockout system, if the two teams involved in a tie score the same number of goals over the two legs, the team which scores
more away goals qualifies for the next stage.

So yes winnning 1-0 away does create an away goal.

In football you get what you get not what you deserve. The facts are that we were playing against a team who qualified for the knock out stages of the competition despie what the suggestion it would have been arrrogant to treat them as no more than cannon fodder. I said that it wasnt a good game and some issues that need to be factored in and tried to put some context on the game Should we be beating Sparta 5. 0 in their back garden? Love it to happen but the truth is at this stage of the competion very unlikely.
Terraloon

{Ed002's Note - A 1-0 away win can never be an advantage in respect of away goals. Sorry.}

Agree0 Disagree1

No fair point but it gives you a certain degree of benefit if you lose 1-0 at home. Irrespective going into the home leg being 1-0 up means the away team has to set up to score whereas at 0-0 they could afford to sit back.

Terraloon (Clutching at straws) {Ed002's Note - It is a lead of course, but of no benefit as an away goal.}

Big results for us in the other games last night. I'd really like to win the cup as it will boost confidence and it's another trophy that we don't have.
