Hi Ed,

Still no chance we could get a round up of players were interested in buying in January?

Would be great but I do understand if not.

Many thanks as always.

I have no idea what to make of the match really. After we conceded the second goal I mostly stopped watching. Most people seem to want to blame JM, but this was the exact same team that we were praising 4 days ago, and yet you would never have known by the performance.

This was the same team that created chance after chance against Porto and played with so much attacking flair and yet none of that was on show today. I honestly doubt JM would have suddenly told the team to play any differently to wednesday, so the blame seemingly should fall on the players.

The 'betrayal' of the team JM spoke of wasn't necessarily that the players themselves have given up on him, but the fact that they seemingly didn't stick to the game plan/tactics he set up for the match.

I'm just totally lost as to the disparity in performances just 4 days apart. JM has made a lot of mistakes this season but I think a lot of the blame should solely rest on the players. One week they seem to be fully behind the manager and yet the next they seemingly can't even be bothered to even play for themselves.

Papers print what they want and what sells but an interesting article in the Sportsmail about Chelsea needing a major clear out and who should go. Virtually all the OUTS are as many have suggested with the surprise being Traore. Ivanovic is retained which I can understand - providing he never plays Right Back again and is used as a Centre Back.

Having supported Chelsea for many many years I've seen more bad times than good, and along with my children have really enjoyed the last decade under Roman. The bad times are here again but I feel with the club's resources won't last long. I've always supported the incumbent manager and never liked the fans who booed Rafa not long ago. I've also been a great Jose fan and thank him for our succes over the years. Sadly though I'm starting to wonder if he can turn this around and at what point do the club thankyou for everything but now we move on? Roman listened when us fans called for Jose to return and I believe he is still listening as fans ( although starting to dwindle ), still chant his name. A lack of willing, quality replacements and another huge payout are obvious issues as well. We won't finish in the top 4 and shouldn't get relegated so I would probably give Jose until the end of the season to turn things around and with a couple of additions in January see how we go in the two cup's. That said, I have a feeling if we lose to Sunderland on Saturday Jose will be gone.

Can people explain why they want mourinho to stay? His football has always been boring. He is good for two seasons then gets arrogant. He has ruined hazard. Quadrado. Salah. Costa. Ivanovic. Dave. Sold robben more than once because robben was more important to the team than jose. Jose would play with 11 centre backs given the chance. Ancellotti was a better manager. Great football. Even rsy wilkins was better. Get john terry in now or bribg back carlo.

Or just spell things correctly. I appreciate the thought though.

Anyone who suggests that John Terry should take over or that given the chance Jose would play with 11 centre backs really needs to question their opinion.

Were you complaining last season when we won the title? No thought not. If you can't handle the ups and downs of a football team please jump ship and support someone else.

My opinion is that Jose Mourinho has lost a few players in the dressing room but I don't blame him at all and he should NOT be sacked.

Chelsea needs to move away from the trigger finger past and try to build some stability by keeping the manager long term. Last year majority of the fans were happy with JM when winning the league and a terrible season in the making shouldn't make someone a bad manager overnight. Regardless the guy has a super record, a champion and he will go down as one of the greatest of all time. He loves our club with a passion, he hurts when Chelsea lose. He shows a lot more passion than some of the players. I have complete faith in the manger. I trust him to replace players and next year we will be back up there fighting for the league.

Some of the players wearing the shirt have been so poor and it doesn't look like they are bothered with the results. JM has tried to motivate these players and has criticised a few publicly. In the past this has worked and revived players however it is having minimal effect at the moment.

He has made changes slightly this season but I feel he needs to shake things up. I don't agree that we should throw in all the youngsters.

Remy replaces Costa
RLC replaces Ramires Rahman replaces Azpi
Oscar should be replaced by Kennedy and swapped with Willian.

Nice post. Not so sure about Rahman for Azi, everyone is entitled to a poor game.

Stability? Which team has manègerial stability world wide, and is successful?

Only ferguson. Stability can be put on hold, a club the size of Chelsea cannot be 15th at Christmas. It's a joke. I'm not just blaming mourinho but it's not working. At all.

He must change it round, and quick, or he must be sacked.

Azpi doesn't offer much as an offensive player, were lacking goals and I feel Baba is more of an offensive player that perhaps can create something from the flanks.

Main problem has been the form of a few players individually and collectively, e. g.
Costa, Fabregas, Oscar, Ivanovic, Matic, Hazard etc.

Remember Azi is playing off his wrong foot and it is less than a year when he was the star left back when he is a right back. Rahman should offer more going forward as he started as a winger and is naturally left footed but he was bought as a defender and he gets dragged all over the place if he gets back. Azi needs to be moved over and stop this 'playing out of position' that Mourinho talked about. I cannot see Rahman making it if JM remains as he clearly was not his choice and I am doubtful if Pedro was.

Not sure what you are referring to there?

Hopefully Jose will turn this around. Everyone has the right to their opinion and mine is that JM surely stays!

I for one would be fairly happy to be playing West Ham next season as I doubt they'll be relegated. At this point in time I'd be happy to avoid a relegation battle.

As a number of people have pointed out, Mourinho trains the players, goes over tactics and picks the team but he does not go on the pitch and execute, that is the players and I cannot believe some of the play we are seeing is on the training ground. This tippy tap passing backwards and forwards in front of a packed defence was not getting as far in the second half of last season and is even worse this with players very much out of form or in some cases, lacking enthusiasm. It is only twelve to eighteen months ago that Mourinho was the 'greatest' and a master tactician and could change a game with his substitutions but to do that you have to have total commitment from the eleven on the field and subs that can turn a game and he has not got either. I am not saying he is not at fault by not using the Loftus-Cheeks and a few others but he must be hoping the 'stars' bounce back to form. I for one would NOT give up on the Manager but I would give up on a good number of the players not least last year's buys that were obviously not Jose's picks. 2016/17 season re-vamp should start from today as our League season has gone and the chances in the Champions League must be negligible. The more I watched last night's game the more I felt that Hazard did not want to be there, Oscar has to go and every effort is made to restructure our defence with at least one top class buy as we are now too slow and even Azi is starting to look out of sorts. I can see massive changes coming that will surprise all of this.

Hi eds would you have any info on what is going wrong at cfc is there any players upsetting the apple cart or is it the manager.
The thing that stands out for me is
John Terry doesn't seem that bothered
He doesn't seem to lead on the pitch anymore.

I have a feeling that Ivanovic can do better than Cahil and Terry at CB position based on the current form of those two. maybe its something for Jose to try out. Surely something must change.

I agree with most posts here. Doing the same thing and expect a different result is madness. I would prefer to play younger players and losing than this degrading picture. That's was for the Manager. I am sorry but the players also are to blame. They seem to lack ideas, intensity and are pathetic easy to get bullyied. I would do a big clear out: Ivanovic, Oscar, Terry, Matic (too slow), Fabregas (old lady no umph) . I believe Costa will come good with the right service.
