Afternoon Ed002.

I know you have a soft spot for Chelsea. What do you make of their season so far? There were a good few writing them off at the start of the season but you only need to look at the team and it's pretty decent, I mentioned on here back in August write them off at your peril.

I still think City will win the league again but the likes of us and Chelsea will push City closer I think. Arsenal, if they could shore up their defence, could also play a if part in the top four.

{Ed002's Note - This is not really the place to ask me questions but what has happened so far really gives little indication where the season will end up. As a club there is no doubt Chelsea are satisfied with how the results have been so far but it is very early in the season, and the club know that. There are a few issues they are working to resolve on the people side of things but I think everyone is comfortable. Personally I would think that Manchester City would have to have a bit of a major prang to not win the league or be very close, and regardless of the last couple of weeks Liverpool are in good shape but are now in the "must buy the league" mode. Arsenal are looking to a top four finish as a priority and Spurs are a little in no mans land with major issues over the stadium. Manchester United are suffering a witch hunt and have the toxic fans turning, what that eventually derails is yet to be seen but it will be more difficult to put right. After that nobody is looking great which opens a bit of a door for Wolves to get a little in front of the the others like Everton who, like their manager, are unconvincing and Watford and Bournemouth who have upward blips that probably won't last. Leicester will make a major mistake with their manager which will foul them up and then it is down to those who survive and those who can't find three sides worse than them.}

Good reply. I feel the same. Think if Chelsea can finish top 3 or 4 that will be good for our building up of nextyear. Thanx for the response Ed002.

I'm assuming you're implying that Leciester will soon get rid of Puel, Ed002? I've noticed that you're a massive advocate of Puel over the years. Don't know what to make of him, to be honest. Clearly a very decent manager, what he done with Southampton was great, and Leicester look solid, but something about him really puts me off.

We shouldn’t be happy wrh 4tg place, every year we should be title contenders and although city and Liverpool are better and stronger and more favourites we should still be aiming for it, at least 3rd.

Cfcboy. I’m a Liverpool fan and I know everyone in the media is talking Liverpool and City but I think Chelsea will be up there, especially if you keep Hazard fit and happy. He looks back to himself again as apposed to the dejected figure under Mourinho.

Yeah it’s always a pleasant surprise. No doubt only a matter of time before he’s plagued by trolls again though.
