Please rafa play Feruz or another youngster up front in the Europa league. It's not possible to be worse than Torres. Turnbull would do better, heck even rafa himself would be an improvement!

Believable3 Unbelievable3

We need Torres to play and score the odd goal, it is the only plausible way to get anyone interested in buying him. Chucking a 17yo in who hasn't played a senior game, on a night in Prague is certainly not the solution mate. While you may not think it, Nando is a much more complete player then Feruz, solely down to his age and experience

Melbourne CFC

Agree5 Disagree5

If Torres is the complete player I don't know what you've you've been watching the last two years. Complete rubbish maybe but that's it. You'll be wanting us to take heskey off you Aussies at this rate lol.

Agree2 Disagree1

Mate I didn't say Torres is a complete player, read it properly. I said he is more of a complete player then a 17yo yet to get a senior game. Feel free to disagree but I think its pretty safe to say.

Melbourne CFC

Agree1 Disagree0

So your saying el niño has no experience, he does, feruz does not

Melbournes right and your right, we need someone to take him off us and your right because it would be difficult to do worse than el niño

Us fans have been spoilt since roman took over and we need to look at the bigger picture. People moaning that the performance tonight was bad. At the end of the day its about winning games and possibly trophys. If we where told at the beginning of season that every game we would be out done in possesion and scrape wins in games but win the league. Or play fancy football in games where we get beat 5-4 and end up finishing 5th, what would you rather have?

Yes we were poor but we won so who cares. One thing I would like to see is oscar behind the striker with mata and hazard playing as wingers. I think this would give us more balance going forward instead of all our play being squeezed through the middle. I also noticed a couple of posts today regarding sanchez from barcelona. What a buy he would be for 20-25m. Our play is too narrow, if we want to get the best out of our flair players then we need width. Sanchez would be an excellant buy.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

What would you have? What the fck are you on about? I would take the league. You realize it is not possible even if the scrape it out 1-0 all the way, so why thehell trying to smart yourself up either/orconditional stuff.

If you cannot understand the point i'm making then maybe you want to go back to school. Would you agree that the main part of a football match is to win. But yet people still come on here and drag the team down even if we win, like tonight. We were poor and 90% of people would like to see rafa go but we won, so move on. Is that in plain enough english for you?

Torres could not dominate a blue square league defender. Worst CFC player in a decade. How could we possibly get rid of him?

JG {Ed018's Note - I'm looking for a backup forward in my 30+ league. He'd be decent for us}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I'm 34 and never played the forward position. Midfield is my treat. I won't make claims using myself as an example, but good Lord any opponent Forward we face weekly looks better than Torres. This game must have been one of his worst for sure.

its far to slow &laboured. I no marin wasnt great but our best chances actually started with him. &this is what I mean by lampard, 1 good game 2 bad games. BLUEBOY1

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Same can be said for Mata, i'm so sick of Chelsea this season, big changes MUST be made in summer, not a threat to do it then chicken out like the last 3 seasons. Really hope Jose comes home. Scott M.

Agree5 Disagree0

Nearly as poor as the John hollins days. Probably take him over rafa tho.

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont suppose most people on here have even heard of John hollins, I remember losing on a cold night at Grimsby. No quite at that level yet tho.

Mata is having a quiet game. Shd be off. Torres is just a waste of space. Apart frm d occasion goal, Lamps doesn't offer much.

What a load of rubbish just when you think we can't play any worse this rubbish happens you can blame raffa but the players need to take some pride in themselves and wearing the shirt STOP trying to put the ball on a plate for Torres ( he will still miss ) shot themselves

This is the team I think will play tonight:
Cech
Azpi Cahill Terry Cole/Bertrand
Ramires Lampard
Marin Oscar Hazard
Torres

I would like to see marin in this game because he hasn't really been given a chance and he will get the chance to prove he can be in our starting 11 in any match.

Blue con

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I too would like to see Marin start. I feel he's been judged too harshly on his 1 start and couple of sub appearances.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ive watched a lot of marin. we need real width he will give us that. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree0

That is pretty much the only line-up possible, with Luiz, Mikel, Moses and Ba unavailable. Although I think Ivanovic might start ahead of Cahill due to him going off on the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see Feruz has tweeted "good luck" to the under 21s. I assume he's not playing so may be he's on the bench for the first team tonight? Has he travelled with the first team ed? DJ {Ed002's Note - He'll be preparing for tomorrow's game.}

It's quite clear that most of our team is more suited to our original 4-3-3, everyone but MATA, mata is a number 10 and is much better there than wing but 5-6 of our players are more suited to 4-3-3, I think we need to utilise our other players in their better suited role, is their a way of all players being well suited, 4-3-3 could be this :

Cech
Azpi-Terry-Cahill-ash
Oscar-LUIZ-Lampard?
Moses-BA-Hazard

But where does that leave mata? On the wing for Moses?,,,,, maybe 42121

Cech
Azpi-Terry-Cahill-ash
LUIZ-OSCAR
Moses---------Hazard
Mata
BA

We are definetely better with mata behind the striker.

Thoughts?

Billy

Ps: Througout the post RAMIRES should be over lamps in 4-3-3 and RAMIRES rotating with Moses and Oscar!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

We need Mata on the pitch in my opinion Billy, no matter the formation, he needs to play. We need to learn to be more flexible in terms of formations when we have the ball, compared to when we don't. We need players like Mata, Hazard, Moses etc to be more accountable when we don't have the ball, and to realise they are playing for eachother, first and foremost.

I think the 4231 is a great formation for us but think different teams require different formations. For teams that have one holding mid we can play more attacking in a 433 with either Luiz or Mikel in the holding role. Then for teams that control games more we can revert to a 4231 with Rami, Oscar or Lampard accompanied by either Luiz or Mikel.

Our attacking players whether in a 4231, 433, 41211, 4321 need to be given the freedom to roam and switch. If we pla a 433 with say Mata and Hazard on the wings and a 3 of Moses Luiz Oscar the two wider players need to offer the width to Juan and Eden, so that if Juan drifts inside, Oscar overlaps down the left. The problem with this is having to many attack minded players (like we currently do) leave you wanting when possession is lost, and they have broken forward. I'm completely aware playing with the players I mentioned in the Epl can leave you open to being bullied by physical teams like Stoke but that only takes me back to my earlier point. We need flexibility in formations and to set up to play against the other 11 men on the pitch. Don't do what rafa does and just chuck out 11 players without given the opposition a moments thought.

Hope you're well mate

De bruyne will be vital next season with passes from deep, I still think we need BENAT for depth, I agree with your flexibility point, Manchester United flexibility is key to their success as is rotation, ins for next season need to be players like

Ins BENAT;SHAW (take over for cole in couple of years);MARKOVIC

sell ; Torres,

Call back KDB, LUKAKU, or loan out again,

Ill say it again, I'll be confident with lukaku and BA with Moses and MARKOVIC as backup, I think falcao"s brilliant but splashing 50m+ always worries me

If we do do 4-3-3, in some years to come, maybe this lineup with strong depth

Curtois
Azpi-Kalas-Subotich (Ake)-Shaw
OSCAR-CHALOBAH-KDB
MATA-LUKAKU-HAZARD

I'm excited for that midfield, Futures Bright for the Blues KTBFFH
