ED002 BILD are reporting that Schurrle's representatives were at Wembley today and will hold talk with Chelsea this week regarding personal terms is that correct? {Ed002's Note - IThere were a lot of people at Wembley today.}

Ed the question I must of herd 20 times today at wembley what happens with torres now he seems to be getting back his old form and is he just playing well because he knows he's on his way out of chelsea? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea - you would need to ask him.}

Concern remains that Rafa's focus on cups -- particularly Europa Cup, but today pretty draining before (more important) Fulham game on Wednesday and Liverpool next weekend -- could well cost us top 4 place which should always have been priority, though not it seems for RB. We all want CFC to win every game. But playing 70 in a season with far from deepest squad one hell of an ask and just hope that Thursday and today does not cost us v Fulham and Liverpool. VBS

This taken from Jason Burt's piece in the Sunday Telegraph, "Mourinho is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer and has lobbied hard for a return to Stamford Bridge, but it is understood that Abramovich has yet to be convinced he is worth re-employing. " and it gets better "The Russian billionaire would ideally prefer to retain Rafael Bentez and Chelsea have even gone so far as to discreetly sound out key players and their representatives to gauge how they would react should the interim manager remain next season. " and the most annoying regarding Roman on Mourinho "can he stomach the return of a manager who would want far more control than Abramovich wants to grant but who will probably bring success", what kind of question is that?Pellegrini will be in charge, sacked next February and we'll all be begging for Jose to come back then again and then Rafa will probably be asked back, anybody except Jose it seems, and granted papers are papers but Jason Burt has good access to the club although not as much as Ed. We can but hope and that's all it seems we can do because as this season has shown, the club could not care less what we the fans, who spend hard earned money going to games week in week out, think.

Ed002 can you explain the issues that are in the way of mourinho returning to Chelsea? Have they offered him a contract is how much power he wants at the club a problem? {Ed002's Note - I have explained on numerous occasions that I have no interest in discussing the manager at this time.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

He's just not coming back because we have a board who don't care what we think. Time to forget about the idea for good.

Needed leadership today. Luiz should play where Mikel does, as Mikel has the touch of a donkey and can not pass at all. Torres though, he was the difference. We needed a goal, 2nd all time goal scorer on the bench. and he does not bring him on! Mata. don't even get me started on him. I know I am going to get some hate for this but he is so overated. He never goes into tackles! He looses the ball 97% of the time, makes one good pass and everyone raves about him. Barely uses that right foot of his. Anyway, Ba and Torres did well together. My man of the match was Bertrand, had a fantastic game. Just needs to be more technical.

Mata, over rated. I'm not a Chelsea fan but geez that is so wide of the mark its unreal.

I'm guessing you think Susan Boyle is a good looking bird!

Gob smacked

Agree10 Disagree1

People who slate Mata are obviously mad or opposition supporters. His passes in last 30 mins of second half generally brilliant, and almost brought us three goals. Would bet he covered more mileage than any other CFC player bar Ramires, a stand out being when he tracked back length of field to near own box. Sure after as many games as he's played he has quiter periods, but he's the best passer of ball in tight/nr oppn box we've got, by far. VBS

Agree8 Disagree1

I think Mata has developed into one of the top 10 players in the world this season

Agree8 Disagree0

United fan here in peace,

Mata is class, it's as simple as that. I thought he sprayed the ball around well in the 2nd half. Would love him at United ;)

HB

Agree4 Disagree0

Mata overrated and Bertrand the top player, did you watch the game or just pick two random names to comment on?

Agree4 Disagree1

He's got to do more for the team, he just let yaya toure go straight past him for the first goal.

Agree0 Disagree4

Mata makes 87% of his passes. How does he lose it a lot? He makes 3 killer passes a game and this season has nearly made an assist or a goal everygame

Agree3 Disagree0

Your the one that's over rated fella! Obviously not a chelsea supporter.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes he may make 87% of his passes, but they're all like 3 yards apart, and usually behind the player. Generallly the team as a whole need to learn how to pass in front on the player otherwise we will keep up that same old boring play

Agree0 Disagree4

100 pet cent agree peds.
You know who another overrated player is? Messi
Yes he's broken record after record, but how he allowed fernando Torres to score last year show his horrible incapabilities.

the amount of games referees ruin theses days is unbelievable. saw the arsenal game yesterday and they were gifted 3 points. today we had 2 clean cut pens and both turned down. the refs have to be doing better they ruin games and don't get to pay for it in any way.

in regards to the game if we play the way we played in the last 30 mins it would have been a very different season for us sadly we only come out to play when we're trailing and couldn't save this one. good spirit shown by the guys though and a brilliant goal from ba.
guess the europa league and 3rd place wouldn't be so bad frankly just 3rd place would be fine.

if jose comes back it could very well be a great season for us.

up chelsea!

Unfortunate today, the difference was Yaya, we still require a big, physical player in the middle, perhaps Luiz? But its a shame we can't perform like 60 mins on for the whole game. Aguero should of been sent off, and that penalty, Foy, Again, had a shocker, but oscar had a great game (especially Cdm, tracked back well and created opportunities), needed more pressure when City attacked, at times today Mikel was non-existent with his pressure, City Had Luck with their first and the second was just sloppy defending, Ba's finish was Fantastic but most had great games, perform like that Wednesday and it should be a win. Futures Bright. COYB

JMJW

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree totally. I love Luiz in midfield but recently we've needed him a lot for as CB. We need our own yaya toure. Who's out there as good as him. Big powerful defends attacks. And fellaini isn't answer in my opinion. ? Any ideas. Oh and Torres will be brilliant Wednesday mark my words
Matty

Agree3 Disagree1

Yeah, Perhaps if were unable to sign a physical Cm (which are hard to find) put Luiz in there and sign defensive cover, my prefered targets would be Hummels or Subotic, because even with Luiz in Cb, were still short and could do with Cover anyway. KTBFFH

JMJW

Agree2 Disagree0

The reason Luiz hasn't played in CM is due to Cahill's injury. A defensive pairing of Iva and Terry is wayyy to slow.

well played blues especially second haif what we need now is to carry on from that and beat Fulham and the scousers and get that champs league place secured also let's win Europa league lads as I said very unlucky today great finish to the season blues would be fantastic Chelsea forever. IANCFC.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Well played? we gave away 2 terrible goals, were over run in the midfield and only created a few chances. Well played? that just shows how far we have declined in recent seasons. It's like roy keane said a couple of months ago we are turning into a cup team.

Agree0 Disagree1

14 Apr 2013 18:37:39
Great game to watch. negative points we allowed city way too much time in the first half and did not press them enough, especially yaya, and did not wake up until we were 2 nil down. After that we showed we could play. Yes torres was fouled but the ref couldn't see, but he has no excuses for Aguero river dancing on Luiz definite red. Pitty we had no Essien to match yaya.
The team is looking good for next year, but we do need a midfield enforcer as shown today and strikers. Top 4 a must

Believable4 Unbelievable2

14 Apr 2013 18:21:41
I think, because we are a growing team we are not as strong as city at the moment. But with an addition of two or three players we will be back to being a force and an exceptional team next year. Stan

Believable3 Unbelievable1

We are not far away but need 2 or 3 more solid physical players who can do the basic work well. Otherwise it is pointless having such attacking talent.

Agree5 Disagree1

14 Apr 2013 21:25:53
Agree.
I think Romeu could do well.
Romeu and Oscar maybe?
Hazard mata KDB/Moses
Falcao/lukaku

I agree with all of that but Moses pdoesnt float my boat. Scores a couple of good goals but the Orestes of his game is laughable and in intelligent.

If only Ramires was toures size.
Played well, should have had a penalty but slow start cost us.
On a bright note Oscar was amazing when he switched to centre mid alongside rami!

Jordan

Believable6 Unbelievable1

By the time Oscar moved deeper City were keeping 10 men behind the ball and defending and weren't pressing the ball high up like in the first half so he had more time on the ball.

Agree5 Disagree0

U got to look at it like this though Oscar was still splitting them with fantastic passes. BLUEBOY1

Agree3 Disagree2

If we went back to 4-3-3

Oscar mikel rami

this would work well in my opinion, as mikel could hold and the other two could get the ball moving foward fast. Maybe in the summer we could get a deverstating holding player and play our talented cm's off of him.

One can van dan

Agree0 Disagree2

I'm sorry mikel needs to go. He can't get motivated for europa and plays terrible when ever he starts.

Hope Wigan win the final now. Deserve the trophy far more than City.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

No need for sour grapes!

Agree2 Disagree2

How do they deserve it far more than city?
Would they have deserved it far more than Chelsea?

Agree1 Disagree1

Wigan played well against Millwall, and smashed Everton. Millwall are a tough cup team don't forget. City had an easy draw up until today, where they looked second best when we scored. If Wigan score first, and defend well, I can see them winning. Not sour grapes at all, just expressing opinion.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 18:14:02
Blame the decisions all we want, but for the team to sit back like we were Benitez needs shooting! And to all the mikel fan boys get a grip he is terrible simple as! BLUEBOY1

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Could not agree more, Mikel is a waste of time, he has the ability but a really poor attitude and work rate.

Agree8 Disagree3

He is terrible, was, is and will remain. The difference between him and Yaya is some lightyears away.

JG

Agree6 Disagree2

Mikel isn't that bad. Better than Carrick of united. Fact of the matter is City played a blinder in the first half. Any team in the world would of struggled to keep up with that pace. Second half we was the better team, but by then it was too late. Hope Rafa starts 4-4-2 on Wednesday

Agree2 Disagree8

No we wouldn't have if we shut down quick and played to our strenghs we would have Meade it closer.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 18:13:28
It was a good game overall. Our so-called pivot has been our major weakness all season esp against stronger teams. If that is not sorted out in the summer, we'll suffer again next season. At the moment, we have two good strikers!
ZipUp.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think Oscar and Luiz are the answer to the pivot Oscar looked great there the last 30 minutes

CfcBenWxm

Agree3 Disagree1

David luiz should move into the midfield next season

Agree3 Disagree2

He should have been moved in there today. we know city play with a strong powerfull midfield and that in recent games against them and others mikel and ramires are not up to the physical challenge, hence why we get overrun in the middle and the defence gets no protection.
Doubtless we have missed Romeou but Luiz should have been used in there and put terry in beside ivo.

Agree2 Disagree1

Terry and Iva would have been absolutely destroyed by Aguero's pace.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 18:13:05
No problem guys, get over it and go for the 3rd place and the europa league. hopefully the higher ups will learn something out of this season after lossing soo many cups.
And too bad we have Mikel instead of Yaya
BLUEPRINT

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I'm glad in a way that we didn't progress but the way the game was affected by the ref and the way we lost was irritating. Hopefully we can focus now on finishing as high as possible and winning the Europa league

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Well said, thought he was going to get man of the match at one point

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 18:09:49
Continuing on from my previous post, City also got all the luck. Nine out of ten times a) the first goals deflection which went to Nasri bounces away or wide, b) Aguero's header towards the post bounces wide of the post or bounces back to Cech, c) that penalty would have been given for that challenge from Kompany and d) Aguero would have been sent off for that challenge on Luiz. Hopefully the FA won't bottle it and will give him a long retrospective ban, no attempt to play the ball and the only intent was to injure him.
Great comeback from us though, so very close. Great performance from Torres too.

14 Apr 2013 18:00:57
Ridiculously poor refereeing. 2 clear penalties (Clichy in the first half, Kompany foul on Torres), a challenge from Aguero on Luiz which warrants a straight red card, numerous fouls from Clichy, Zabaleta and Y. Toure which resulted on one booking and the "pundits" still insist that the referee had a good game. Ridiculous. Great second half comeback though, Ba's goal was immense and we deserved more to be honest, had that penalty been given for the foul on Torres I think we would have won.
EH17

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I thought the ref was lenient and let the game flow, which is good for the neutral and pundits, but not so good for the fans when the decisions affect the game.

Agree3 Disagree4

14 Apr 2013 17:55:07
Some very poor refereeing decisions. If Aguero had been sent off then we could have definitely have gone on and won. The big difference between our teams was Toure.

14 Apr 2013 17:01:37
Is it me or do these so called "professional pundits" know what their on about. Its been a very even game, some tough tackles (Zabaletta should be booked) and very entertaining. Yet no credit to Chelsea and City have been amazing, their goal was good build up play with a massive slice of luck. Fed up of this negative bias commentary and so called punditry we seem to receive.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

14 Apr 2013 17:00:28
Get Terry on for Mikel and push Luiz into midfield, need to get Mata, Hazard and Oscar on the ball. Great game to watch, just a shame about their goal.

Same old problems over run and out powered in the midfield. Mikes and Ramirez just ain't up to it against opposition of this level. Man city have what we used to have physical players who could bully the opposition.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Ramires has been fantastic

Agree2 Disagree1

All man city have is toure. I'd take rami and mikel over Barry. This game displays why we need a mauler in the middle next to rami.

Tk

Agree3 Disagree1

Yaya toure is hardly a brauler.

14 Apr 2013 16:52:51
Half time and a goal down, not a bad performance though need to test their dodgy keeper a bit more. Swap Ramires for lamps.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Bring on terry for Ramirez and put luiz in the midfield

Agree2 Disagree1

14 Apr 2013 16:51:11
City are lucky to be ahead from that chance, couldn't even count every deflection which happened in that move but they slightly deserve the lead. Get Hazard, Mata, Oscar onto the ball more and running at the defence and keeper. Don't know who the ref is but he must hate us, should have booked Clichy earlier on and also keeps ignoring blatant fouls. All we need to do if stop Yaya Toure running (fouling, anything) because he has been City's attack.

As much as I would like Jose to return I just don't think it will happen. I would also like Zola but don't think he's ready yet for a high profile job. Poyet might be a better bet but then who? Pellegrini seems to be flavour of the month but is he really the long term answer? Considering the way we go through managers maybe Rafa should get another year PROVIDING we make top 3 or 4 and win a Cup/s! The younger players appear to respond to him and he can deal with the big ego's and although not popular with a large section of the fans who cares if we are winning and building a bright future.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Why would poyet be ready but not Zola?
At least Zola has managed in the prem before.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but rafa is a no go, strange team selections and bizarre substitutions (is Beanayoun really the best option we have?) he will never have the fans backing and that is crucial. He has however done an ok job so far but the jury's out till the end of the season. Personally I want hidink or mourinho.

Is Isco still likely to move in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

You have said previously ed002 'not to get our hopes up on isco'. Does that mean that another club have agreed a deal in principle with Malaga? {Ed002's Note - No it doesn't mean that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It purely means that the likelihood of him moving to Chelsea is low, due to greater interest elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree1

Where is the greater interest coming from then ed? {Ed002's Note - What "greater" interest?}

Agree0 Disagree0

No what I mean is that there is interest elsewhere, and that he will probably end up at Bayern Munich. {Ed002's Note - There is interest from other clubs including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.}
