I'd take Fernando Jm10. So good at bossing the midfield, breaking up oppositions moves and his ability to transition from defence to attack quickly is first class. Him with Ramires or Romeu would be a treat to watch. My first choice for the position would be Vidal though.

See a lot of comments on here about players coming in, let's consider some FACTS, like it or not, Mikel has been offered a 5 yr contract! He and Ramiries are the first choice pairing with Romeu and Lamps as back-up's. Lamps will eventually be replaced by Josh with KDB also an alternative to Ramiries when he comes back..3 in front are sorted with Moses, Marin and Piazon as alternatives..Sturridge will leave in January I believe and needs replacing. Lukaku will come back in Summer and challenge. Thats leaves Torres, unless the club can find a taker he won't leave so I believe the only way we will bring in a big money signing is if he goes, if not I presume a younger, cheaper option will come in. In summary, only transfer activity in January will involve strikers.

The problem is Romeu is gonna leave if he cannot get playing time which i understand.
RDM never used the benched people which slows/stop the young players that is benched progression, and eventually makes them so bored that they wanna leave.
This is one of the most critical issue's that needs to be fixed it donsent only make us lose points, but possible recruits aswell if they know they are 2nd choise aka never playing withless a injury hit the 1st choise.
Romeu and his agent is already talking about leaving cause RDM only plays Mikel/Ramires, and that wil leave us with only Mikel as the defensive midfielder. That force us to buy a new one defensive midfielder, and if he dont get playing time he wil eventually leave aswell. I could imagine KDB leave when he dont get playing time cause RDM only play ramires.
This really is a big issue and wil force us to buy older players that is at their peak cause only then they wil be a 1st choise.

When Lampard wasent injuired RDM only picked him because of his reputation, even tho he clearly couldnt play in the pivot. That means leaving Romeu on the bench who really need some playing time while Lampard is soon leaving and wont benefit us in any way.

Do you understand where im going COYB, this is a big issue! look at Sturidge,Romeu,Bertrand,Lukaka(when he was here),Cahil(in periods),Azpilicueta(if ivan isent playing center) and maybe even Courtois next year.
Lukaku have said this really sucked that he never got a chance to play and show what he could do, he could have banged in 2 goals a match without us known cause we didnt gave him a chance even tho i doubt it but you see my point. Sturidge is about to leave cause of it and maybe Romeu aswell and i think this is only the begining if we dont stop playing the same people over and over again.

As manager you pick your best eleven who ever that maybe. RDM is no different if he dropped players to accommodate the fringe/youth players we would not be doing as we'll and he would be looking for a new job sooner rather than later, sturridge is not good enough, josh is on loan and who knows if he will make it. Lukaka is not ready and from what I have seen he may never be, romeou is in need of games and I am sure he will get them. RDM has not done a great deal wrong so please get off his back.

But no, the benched people need time on the pitch aswell not only for their sake, but to rest the usual players too the reason why we had a draw against Liverpool & Swansea was because they were tired.
It is critical we use the benched people, if they did like you say a club wouldnt need more than 11 players?:)

I would say de bruyne is replacement for lampard. And no matter what any one says I think Mikel is a terrible footballer. He needs to be shown the door. At the end of the day if he was up for sale would Madrid, barca, Milan, Munich, or even shakhter come in for him ? No chance, so he ain't good enough for us! BLUEBOY1

Hey Ed002, respect your knowledge and insight on all things blue. Do you know if Torres is being put up for sale in January? {Ed002's Note - "Put up for sale" is not really a term I am familiar with.}

Okay then what about is Torres surplus to requirements / will he be made available should other clubs enquire? {Ed002's Note - He is playing pretty much every game so he is hardly "surplus to requirements".}

Okay maybe not the correct terminology again! But do you know with any certainty if he would be allowed to leave in January were a suitable bid to be made, or will he remain a blue until the Summer at least? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea will not stand in his way if he wanted to leave and a suitable bid was made - assuming a replacement exists.}

Why would we sell Torres in the January window? Buying in January is the hardest time to buy and buying a striker is even harder as teams are reluctant to let their goalscorers go. If we were to sell Torres we'd only be left with Sturridge who will only have 6 months left on his contract. Which would mean that we would need to sign at least 2 strikers. I wouldn't expect Torres to leave until the summer if he does.
