Becali does not represent Steaua in any shape of form, he is a mad man and things he says should be ignored! I do agree that he did say it as he saw it!

Alright guys

It seems a lot of people on here same to be changing there mind on Mikel with his recent performance over United. Although I am not convinced just yet I do think the formation were playing this season 4-2-3-1 doesn't suit the majority of our players. For example a two man midfield with any of our midfielders is to weak. I think the formation which suited us best and which will suit most of our players probably except Mata is 4-3-3. If you watched us closely last year Ramires and Lampard were both at their strongest in a 3 man midfield and I think with a world class striker Falcao/Cavani with Mata and Hazard either side would make our side much stronger. Which allows goalscoring midfielders like Rami and Lamps to forward when attacking with Mikel holding. I think Oscar would also fit into this formation well with his work rate and eagerness to help out the defence because Oscar isn't a natural winger.

Back to the Mikel subject. Although he isn't the most convincing player he does protect the back four with which a 4-3-3 makes the 3 midfield players help out the defence because when attacking we are left vulnerable at the back in a 4-2-3-1. If Lampard does leave at the end of the season with maybe Fellaini as his replacement who I rate highly and is proven in the premier league I think that's where a 3 man midfield of Oscar -- Mikel -- Fellaini would make us stronger which would give us goals with Fellaini/Oscar and physicality in Mikel/Fellaini.

If Mourinho does arrive in the summer or a different manager I do hope to see a change in tactics.

WelshBlueBen - fully agree with this post.

Although I'm not ready to fully commit to Mikel, like I said recently, he was the player that made the difference against Utd. Yes he misplaced a couple of passes but who doesn't?

I think Oscar - Mikel - Fellaini would be outstanding! There's not much missing from that midfield! The likes of Ramires in the squad too.

Mata can till come centrally in a 4-3-3 too, take the leash off him, Hazard etc. and let them influence games!

The thing I don't understand is when people say our midfield is too weak when we have we play 4-2-3-1. Look at arsenal today, they played arteta and ramsey as their two holding players, united use carrick and cleverly. Liverpool don't use big holding players. The other problems I see with a 4-3-3 are that we all know we would instantly lose width with hazard and mata coming inside, mikel doesn't have the ability to move the ball quickly into attack like someone like busquets can do. Luiz could do a good job there if he is more cautious with the ball. Look around, who really plays 4-3-3, the game has evolved and all the top teams play 4-2-3-1.

Makes me laugh people who disagree if you don't agree then post your problem

Problem with mikel loseing the ball is he always loses it in the wrong place. And he is t even mobile enough to get back.

My thing with mikel is while he does a job job for our team there are more able players out there that would do better in his role in the 433 as well as perform better in a 4231. That's one thing I think we need this summer. If we can get a guy that stays deep the entire time and starts up the attack and then is the first line of defense it could take us to a different level. I think Luiz could be molded into that as he has great vision offensively and ability to read the game defensively (doesn't get enough credit for this in my opinion) but he would have to curb his apetite to go forward so often. Pogba would be the player in a perfect world. Bet old whiskey nose is down right joyous he let him go.

Ed002 Balague said on Revista last night that Jose's agent has said that he is most likely to come to Chelsea with PSG as second choice.
Is this how you see it and are Utd also interested?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - Balgue says lots of dumb things. Chelsea would be a good solution for all. PSG are interested. Manchester United have a manager.}
