Disappointed to see another top talent depart.

Should we be disappointed- yes.
Should we be Surprised - no

I think we, as Chelsea fans should resign our selfs to the type of club we support. It's ran predominately as a business in my humble opinion of course.

Some one mentioned earlier how good our youth set up is and why we are not utilising it. Well to some degree we are. We are turning over millions of pounds each year on loans and then sales. As supporers is this the way we won't it to be done? Most would say no, including me.

The champions league is such a gold mine nowadays that clubs, including Chelsea are scared to take a risk on 19/ 20 year olds. The same goes for the premier league.

Let's use Tottenham for example and the way they have been run since potch came in. Look at some of the younger guys and what they have achieved by being given a chance.

Dele Ali
Harry Kane
Eric Dier
Danny Rose
And to some degree Son (although not from the youth team but still very young)

This goes to show what can be achieved. When giving players a chance. How much would these guys be worth combined now?



As a business our club is run impeccably. Rom deserves great credit on that, considering we were near total bankruptcy before he came into the picture. From a fans perspective it can be frustrating at times. But the position we are in now and we're roman has taken this club was only dreams for fans of the pre roman era.

My point is there is plenty of positives and negatives in respect to youth and our transfer policy but taking all that a side

For what it's worth, Alli and Dier aren't Spurs youth products either. Bought at a young age, but they're not their youth products. They were bought for the first team. However Poch did a great job of trusting them with game time.

Squad depth is frightening, absolutes worrying how many players we need, homegrown talent too.

Matic, Costa, Zouma (loan), Chalobah ( loan may be: after contract extension)

Incoming players:
Caballero, Rudiger, Christian

We are allowing to leave 7-8 players from our last season squad.
Does it mean we will replace them with same numbers of players.
If that's the case may be at least 4 more new signings expected?

If player is training alone could mean that player is injured or unfit. Several players are training separately last few days. So, it means absolutely nothing.

My worry is we let go too many homegrown players.
Terry (Understandable), Ake, Begovic, RLC and who knows now may be Chalobah.
It will affect us as in near future.

Ed002 or 01 or 18 do you have any info on a player called Gustavo Viera he's seemingly only still a kid at 16 but i've seen a couple of reports linking him to us and apparently he wants to join and emulate his idol Mr Drogba i would assume he's not ready for first team football although people seemingly rate him has some superstar in the making do you think its at al viable something like this could go through and play back up to Batman or do you still think it will be a more marquee name im guessing we only really have 3 choices that would be avalible in Aubamya ding dong or morata or this belotti lad Ed also regarding the comment on the euro pages about Aubamayeng do you no how the talks went with chelsea and f they were open to taking him bit hard to tell who is the preffered target at this point thanks.

I said that. Although they don't want to sell Arsenal look like they could snap him up. Obviously for the right price we could persuade Monaco to sell.

We haven't bought any class players yet. Granted bakayoko will sign soon, but rudiger and caballero are not on pa with the likes of Man U and Man City and even arsenals signings. We have been in 'negotiations' for weeks and months but no one we'd class. Lemar is my only a class player, but he's only 21! He's a great talent or te future. In a few years Arsenal or whoever snaps him up could have the next Eden hazard.

I'm sorry but that is absolutely incorrect Cfc17. Caballero is a backup but rudiger is hands down a better player (and prospect) than anyone at man city (bar a healthy Kompany) and Man United bar Bailly.
