{Ed001's Note - Dortmund are not looking to sell him mate.}

13 Feb 2019 21:29:47

No way Dortmund would let Sancho and Pulisic go in one window. If i were Sancho i'd stay for another season at the very least anyway, no point rushing to another club yet at his age. As for Pulisic i thought he was ok tonight, showed glimpses of what he can do with his ability to drive the ball up the pitch and take on players. His end product has always been questionable and it showed tonight in a couple of occasions but i'm sure it'll improve under Sarri in time. Best thing about his arrival in the Summer is that it'll hopefully move Willian and Pedro out of the club.

Judging by his position he's hazards replacement imo.

Here’s a better thought why not just play Hudson-Odoi? He could be better he only lacks gametime. The kids electric and can finish. Get him in NOW!

Can go both ways and works hard. Love it.

100% his always been terrific. His worth ethic is what we lack now. He presses just the way Sarri wants his players to press.

Looks like Icardi's contract situation took a turn for the worse. Stripped of the armband and left out of the squad for their Europa league match.

Surely he's off. With Madrid and Juventus needing a striker, I don't like our odds. Truthfully, I don't think we'll make a bid for him but it'd be a statement if we did.

Personally I think Higuains been great for us he’ll bang goals in he hasn’t been getting great service though.

With the amount of cash we have spent in paying off managers that we've sacked and buying out new managers from their current contracts, we would have been halfway to the squad overhaul that everybody know we need.

Is it just player transfers that get scrutinised by FFP or do all transactions get looked at?

Good point. We could have bought the very best with the amount we paid Jose twice. Its a joke when you hear pundits say, "Sarri will get the sack because its chelsea who we are talking about, a team who got no patience". Its a stigma that will forever remain attached.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2019 14:26:34
We brought that stigma upon ourselves. I don't blame pundits for assuming we'll sack our manager, it's very much looks like our normal cycle. Let's just hope that it isn't.

And look how much we’ve won.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2019 20:15:42
Yep, we have won a lot but I’m not sure it’s ALWAYS been down to changing managers.

It’s Romans car so I guess he can decide who the driver is!

We have spent more or drinkwater and jorginho than on managers and we are half way to building a new squad lol dream on.

14 Feb 2019 19:51:28
And how have Jorginho and drinkwater fared so far?

There's been a lot of talk recently that the club needs leadership. This has let me to wonder, in general, if clubs sometimes look especially for players with leadership qualities? If that's the case, do they then try to judge their leadership from the way the players act on the field? Or perhaps from insiders knowing of the players' personality?
And is it possible within a short time to gain new leaders? Obviously, Van Dijk springs to mind as a player who's taken on leadership incredibly fast, but surely a lot of that must be down to the chemistry that new player gets with his team-mates?
Hope my question makes sense, otherwise you can feel free to just delete it ;)

Ed002, if I may, is Roman looking or thinking to sell the club? I know he has issues with visas etc with the UK Government and he’s not seen at games anymore, but just wondering if this could push him into selling his asset?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - He attends games when he is available. I don't know what he is thinking but he has turned down a very good offer for the club.}

Drop Luiz, Jorginho and Alonso and start giving the fringe players chances. Play Hudson-Odoi in big games.

It’s easy to say the players aren’t performing for Sarri but why isn’t he dropping them. He has a squad and needs to start using it.

i agree he's asking for sack if he keeps playing the same not good enough players.

Forget every other ridiculous thing that Sarri has done / is doing, he should be sacked for playing the World's greatest defensive midfielder out of position.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 13th February 2019

We can all clearly see that it’s not been working in recent weeks but yet at the start of the season it was. Now is the change in results a consequence of other teams figuring us out, players being out of form or just them fed up of Sarri’s tactics already. It’s hard to tell from the outside. Sarri definitely needs to start dropping under performing players though.
It does seems like some players have given up on Sarri-ball already though as we’ve never capitulated so badly under other managers before. A clear out of any player that doesn’t buy into the philosophy is required as we need to finally back a manager over players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t know about ‘sarri-ball’ Chelsea need to ‘get the ball’ first....I’m available for weddings and bahmitvahs for bookings please call my agent on 0208...

13 Feb 2019 14:09:34
While your (admittedly hilarious) joke was hilarious, Ed, getting the ball hasn’t really been our problem, our issue lies with actually doing something with the thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - 38% possession against Chelsea doesn’t seem like that much mate. But I hear you you’ve had 73% possession overhaul in home games this season.
