I praised Liverpool for reversing their staff furlough decision so I also have to praise Spurs for doing the same.

Why owners/ management wanted to drag their respective clubs through the mud is still beyond me!

They’ve only done it due to public outrage thou, there intentions were to use tax payers money, and if there wasn’t the fuss by fans and ex players and media and pundits they’d of been happy enough to furlough Jon playing staff, anyway, chelsea and roman have been superb from day one of this pandemic, hope your doing well Tom and keeping yourself safe.

No football is sooooo depressing so with us being linked to a few players I thought I'd give my views on possible ins and outs:
Kepa= id like him to stay but just stop pissing about at the back like he's an outfield player. He showed enough last season to tell us he's got quality. Plus I'd only want him to leave if a top quality keeper like oblak or even de gea was available.
Azpilicueta= absolute class hard working player but doesn't give me enough of what I think we are lacking and that's the ability to take players on and overlap our forward players to add to our attacks. Reece looks the man to take over so that position is covered.
Centre backs= I'm a big fan of rudiger and have full faith in tomori to partner him. Obviously it would be great to have koulibaly, we have been linked to a centre half from Lille who I haven't seen enough off to comment.
Left back= alonso has not been great at times but has certainly surpassed my expectations of him in terms of what I expected when he first signed. For the price paid he's actually been a good signing. Having said that the time has come to go in different directions and sign Alex telles. We have been linked to chilwell who I don't think is even better than alonso to be fair.
Jorginho= I think he's great at what he does but he's not a holding player. He wonders out of position far too many times trying to press and win the ball back which then leaves huge gaps in front of our defence. Get kante back in that position and get him what he does best. Next to kante play kovacic.
Then moving to a 4-2-3-1
At LW CHO who I think needs a good season to go with the hype surrounding him.
At CAM play pulisic who looked like he was hitting some form until injury
RW= Ziyech who looked menacing for Ajax
ST= I think Tammy has done enough to prove he can lead the line.

Kepa
James. Tomori. Rudiger. Telles
Kante. Kovacic
Ziyech. Pulisic. CHO
TAMMY

looking at the players I've chosen I'd still bring in coutinho but only as a loan but after signing ziyech I don't think bringing in sancho is a good idea especially when we have mount and RLC to add to the mix as well. I'm interested to see other Peoples views/ teams.

I think we are at a tipping point as a club, currently 4th and if we get the next transfer window right maybe we can challenge for the title, this season reminds me of guardiolas first season they had a great start then finished 4th on goal difference if my memory is correct, very similar position to us, they then went and spent 100 million on 2 fullbacks, and signed bernado silva, and ederson, I'm not sure if they got laporte the January before, all in all they spen well and went on to win 2 league titles in a row and finish second this season, if we don't get our transfers correctly then we could go the other way and drop into 5th / 6th, I hope we can identify and acquire 3-4 really top quality world class or close to world classplayers, to have the quality to win or challenge for the league, I don't think we need to much though a left back a center back and a striker at least, the amount of quality strikers seemingly available is quite crazy the likes of martinez, werner, dembele, icardi, jovetic ect, I would be happy with one of these, I quite like Ben Chilwell I know some don't but I think for his age and the fact he knows the league is a plus and at 23 he could be our left back for the next 10 years In my opinion he's a solid 7 out of 10 player with a high ceiling to push on and get world class in time, I'm stuck for a center back though nobody springs to mind tbh, for me it's a recipe for future success bring 3/ 4 top quality players to add to the forever improving youngsters and we will have success again, its extremely important we get the next couple of windows spot on.

i like the points uv made . im not calling for kepas head but i wouldn't be dissappinted if we done an exchange plus cash kind of deal of sold him for some1 better. i no onana has gained a lot of speculation an links to us over the last few months. ziyech has been outstanding anytime iv watched so hel add both goals an creativity from the right flank i think hel be an upgrade on willian but sad to see willian go if he does an nost probable will great servant an professional as is pedro . my ideal team next season is as follows.

onana/ kepa
telles/ azpi left b
reece james/ azpi rb
cbs-chirstensen and a new signing
dont rate toni rudiger at all he's rash and he's not a leader he switches off a lot an gives away possesion far to much during a game with stupid long range balls thinking he's beckham. tomori the jury is still out a bit.
cm-gilmour kovaciv kante / rlc mount barkley plenty options if we sell kante we should go for van de beek or milinkovic savic. id like to see the back of jorginho just doesn't suit this league i do love his passion do
- wide- pulisic left ziyech right
cho has a lot to do to convince us why he was given that big contract and stayed. he seems a shaddow of the confident kid we where all excited about last season. this season has been a right off for him.
Striker- lautaro martinez. reminds me of a young aguero hed be unbelievable in our team. id like him to fight it out with tammy. id love big G to stay aswell class professional.
interested to see young gallagher come in possibly 2 next season.

Ed002, has there been any progress on deciding what the major leagues are going to do with their leagues, RE: COVID-19? And also with the CL or EL? Voiding that seems inevitable now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No but many are looking at other options to voiding the league - considering things similar to the option taken by Belgium. Scotland has gone another way etc.. The "eltite" sides are meeting on Wednesday and the members from different European leagues will no doubt discuss it informally, but their focus is on the impact of the threats made by UEFA.}

13 Apr 2020 08:57:32
Thanks Ed002. Do you think UEFA will actually enforce that threat?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, I really can't see that happening.}

13 Apr 2020 11:31:20
Apparently UEFA will be talking with a virologist from Belgium, Marc Van Ranst, as he's been asked to justify the decision by our Jupiler Pro League to stop the season.
Might be interesting to see if he can convince them that football should not be played in the coming months.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He does not need to justify anything to UEFA.}

13 Apr 2020 14:04:13
Maybe justify is the wrong word, more like explain then?

Or are they consulting him more in general regarding the whole pandemic? Here in Belgium he's certainly been the virologist that's come on the news etc. to explain stuff etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is simply the second point.}
