I think the writing is on the wall, Antonio Conte is most likely to leave at the end of the season. The tension between him and the board is evident, the digs he makes every now and then about transfers is quite telling.

He previously stated "I do not aim high with my requests, especially as in my history I've rarely been given the players I asked for" and today he states "If Man City wants Sanchez, they buy Sanchez. They don't have a problem with money and this investment and I think it is a good investment. We are talking about a top player who you can buy with a price not so high". If they are not digs at the board then what is? I do feel for Antonio Conte, i think with money at his disposal like at a club like PSG he would be formiddible.

If im honest, I don't think our board room members have much of a direction or a clue. Very indecisive with approach and transfer, tactics have changed drastically over the years if you follow the managers that have left our club. The club need to decide a strategy, we are neither here or there. I think Man City are creating a dynasty that will last for a long long time. The writing was on the wall when they hired the Barcelona lads. Even when Pep leaves they will get someone that follows through with the possession football. Barcelona Blueprint. We need a blueprint that needs following.

Also in terms of transfers, they need to pull their finger out before we lose big players. Keeping top players means showing them we can win champions league. At the moment, players like drinkwater or Zappacoster et al don't bring fear or excitement.

It's not usually me to rant. But sometimes the board need to look past that a player is 29 and may not have a re-sale value. Someone like Sanchez will almost guarantee titles to both Manchester clubs for the short term which will bring further prestige and funds and attract better players long term. I know we won the league last year but it seems every time we win we go back a few steps rather improve.

I agree with your sentiment although I like Drinwater with Kante and another attacking midfielder who can track back if required. Bayakoko looks the part but so far he looks like an athlete trying to play football. Zappacosta I am sure was brought in to add depth to the squad and no more. Listening to Conte today I felt he was almost bating the Chelsea management with references to how you can win something and they move you on. That mentality has a knock on effect with players.

Absolutely. Not only does it rub off on players. Why would Hazard and Courtois sign contracts when there is no guarantee on Conte staying. I have a feeling all this unsettling issues will have an effect on us on the pitch. Maybe it has had an effect, we have looked anything but good recently.

Pep has lasted no longer than a few years at any club inherits great teams does what he can with that team and buggers off on bad terms yes he is a great tactician but I have doubts he will be a fertile type figure. Barcelona type dynasty I would rather the real Madrid format to be honest.

I can’t understand the BS people spout about pep, the fact is if he wasn’t all that people wouldn’t want him. Messi credited him with a lot of his development, why would any top team hire him on so much if he wasn’t any good? City have gone and invested a fortune and wanted the best man to take them forward, it shows they streamtolling the league.

To be honest, we are never going to have the real madrid blue print. To have such print you need to spend ridiculous amount of money which is something we don't do these days. Again the new manager at Real Madrid will dictate how they will set up. However, at Barcelona no matter who turns up their footballing philosophy has to be adopted and therefore the coach has to adapt to the club as opposed to the club adapting to the coach. Better long term gains.

I don't bother responding to any pep guardiola criticism. If he weren't that good then why do the best teams in world football want him. I am sure chelsea would jump at the chance of appointing pep if they had the chance and if he was a realistic target. I mean despite Chelsea being so far behind, you have to give credit where its due. Man City have been different class this year. Pep is a class manager.

We did spend a heck of a lot when Roman first took over. His spending during them times is equivalent to what City are doing now. We bought all the best players around and we didn't win the league every year so its not as easy as you make it sound. In fact Man Utd had won more titles and had won more than us under Fergie until recently.

Pep spending so much money is an advanatage but his had to negotiate 5 big teams and his done it by beating us all. His style of football is what is beating teams.
