Cahill to sign for Chelsea after Bolton v Man Utd as it is in the best interests of Bolton and Chelsea! It gives Bolton the best chance of getting anything from the Utd game!

Cahill playing more games can't be good for us, what if he gets injured. Then what.. We start over going for other players and pay more money n it'll get dragged out again, I'd like us to sign him ASAP as think ge will be brilliant for us. Good reliable English centre back to learn off jt then captain us when jt retires

Hey ed, i know it's unlikely in January, but I feel a big player will be bought. Someone who will play in the first team as opposed to a squad player like Cahill. Surely, with Anelka, Alex and mceachran going the squad needs to be added to. Would you say this is a possible? I know it's early days yet but with the purchases of Romeu and mata AVB looks really shrewd when it comes to buying good players. I feel he's the type of guy that will have his eyes on a few players who would help. On a side note, do you think there's a chance of hulk coming here? Now or in the summer? {Ed002's Note - I struggle to understand the subjective terms like "big" player I am afraid. I am not going to speculate over Hulk either.}

There are many terms people use now. "Marquee Signing", "big name signing" etc.

I think what he means ED, is that he believes that Chelsea will possibly make a late unexpected bid for "Big name player".

Eg. Hazard, Moutinho, Pato, Di Maria, Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Pele etc.

So I'm going to phrase this as best as I can for you...

What is your gut-feeling ED? Do you know that deep down in your heart, AVB will make a "shocking" move for one of these "big name" players?

My money is on Pele, would be a great signing (Y)

hi ed..id like to know what ur thoughts on the team are.1 who would you like to see come in this transfer window? 2.what are your thoughts on torres should we still have faith and hope he comes good? 3.abs is the right man for the job..but whats going wrong at the min?thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't have any thoughts on the team in general but everyone knows that there are a number of players who have gotten old together and that the refresh programme needs to continue now and in the summer. There will be arrivals this window and then more in the summer but the club will not buy just for the sake of it.}

any idea if luiz has been considered as a RB? im sure ive heard he can play across the back four and we all know he enjoys steaming forward. would save us some money

Maybe with cahill in he could be considered for that position.

Im a Glasgow Rangers Fan, I feel that if Chelsea do bid for Jelavic, Chelsea should pay £5 Million + Fernando Torres up here till summer. As odd as that sounds I think it would benefit both clubs and the player. He comes here on loan and gets goals in the SPL and his confidence will return and he will be back on form for euros and 2012/2013 season. Any thoughts.

Why don't they just stump up 5.25m for Jelavic and let Chelsea keep Torres?
