So we're back where we belong in the Champions League tomorrow night against Qarabag. Although it's only the first game, this game is vital that we pick up the 3points.
At home to Qarabag is arguably the easiest game (on paper) for every team in our group. We can't be complacent tomorrow otherwise we'll immediately be on the back foot in the group.
Atletico and Roma will be very tough games away from home so it's vital to pick up the 3 points at home in this group.
A good start tomorrow and we'll be well set to get through this group.
C'MON CHELSEA!

Cany wait for the game tomorrow. Rrallythink the subs will show there stuff. Good prepwork for when they are really needed in the Prem league.

We have a history of making things difficult.
Please Blues, make it an easy qualification through to the knockout stage.
I'm to old to take stress and my hair has long since turned white as I've tried to overcome my nerves as we make what should be easy games into potential difficult nightmares!
Come on Chelsea give my heart rate a relaxing night.
God it's wonderful to be back in the Champions League!

Agree TomB. More games in a small space of time. So awesome to watch more sport on the telly. I was brought up being a rugby lover and when i got married my wifes family are all into foorball and honestly i enjoy soccer more than anything else. Now were back in Europe even better. Come on Chelsea.

Excellent assessment Ed001 and pleased with your summary of Courtois as I feel he has not progressed as much as I felt he would after his return. Fabregas was summed up in those two words, 'time and space', take them away and he becomes a liability. Likewise Bats summary was spot on with 'clumsy and cumbersome' something Drogba was in his first season but sadly Bats is carrying that problem into this season and he needs to take a hard look at his performances. I don't see a great deal of difference between Pedro and Willian as far as end product goes and unless they dramatically improve someone will come in and takeover from them; all that endeavour has to lead to goals. Alonso was the biggest surprise to me and for all his defensive weaknesses he more than makes up with his shooting and heading ability and link up play.

{Ed001's Note - Alonso was the revelation of the season for me, I knew he was decent on the ball, but last time he was in the Prem he did not show any more than that.
