Hi Ed. Regarding player purchases. Who are the main decision makers at Chelsea and in charge of transfers? Ie. There are obviously loads of advisors- but Arnesen not there - Roman just has the final sign off - Ancelotti also leaving. Is it really only down to Gorlay & Buck at the mo? {Ed002's Note - No. Advice on transfers comes from someone else.}

Does anyone else really think that we should move David Luiz into a defensive midfielder because is mentality is clearly as an attacking defender who can shoot and has pace but lacks the positioning needed for a Chelsea central defender. It would also allow us to accommodate either Alex or Subotic (if we brought him in) as I believe they would be better centre backs alongside Terry. Hopefully the back and midfield would look like this . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Cech. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . VanDerWiel. .Alex/Subotic. . . . Terry. . . . . . . .Cole. .

I agree, but that position will be for Essien or Ramires next year

Hi Ed, Ive watched Luiz for a good few games now, hes a great player no doubt but don't you think he takes big risks inside the penalty area? Would it not be a good idea to take him out of the centre back position and push him into Mikel's position holding our midfield? Personally I believe this would suit him to a tee seen as he is good with the ball at his feet and likes to push forward. Also we have to make a move for David Silva! Why we didn't before City bought him I don't no, but now we really have to break the bank to bring in players of this stature otherwise we will be second best to united again next season. {Ed001's Note - I suggested pushing Luiz forward a while back, he is good on the ball, his positional sense and pace are good and he certainly looks capable of playing that role very well. Especially as Essien isn't playing well and Mikel is simply not good enough.}

If I were Chelsea manager I wouldn't sell the likes of Jack Cork! He's England Under 21 captain and has a bright future, unlike somebody like Florent Malouda who only decides to play properly when his contract is going to run out! Another player not given a chance is Fabio Borini who's been scoring for fun for Swansea, another Chelsea mistake as he'll leave for free at the end of the season! I just wish Chelsea wouldn't fath about with transfers and seal them! Instead of being too cautious about signings take a risk and buy people! Thats why we failed to win the league this season, yet again failing to expand on the squad and leaving our squad too short! Next season Chelsea should try and play more attacking football down the wings, we sold our only winger who had the ability to beat people (Miroslav Stoch), so if we can sign the likes of Neymar and Alexis Sanchez then that will help us build a team with pace that can beat players! Ashley Young and Matt Jarvis are players I can't believe Chelsea aren't looking at, both will be reasonably cheap! Giving Sturridge a run out is a must!

For those who are asking about Neymar: Chelsea & Santos have apparently agreed a deal (not officially as it is outside the transfer window) but the problem is Neymar haven't still decided whether to join us or not. People around Neymar seems to have ill advised him about joining Chelsea and playing in England. Chelsea is the only club in negotiations with Santos at the moment though clubs like Inter, Roma, Barca & Juve could come up with an offer. Chelsea are very very keen on tying up the deal early in the transfer window. But everything depends on Neymar's decision.chelsea insider source

To me - the worst piece of transfer season business would be bringing Kaka to the Bridge. Unless, of course, we are getting him on loan with an option to buy, in a way that Galliani handled Ibrahimovic transfer from Barca. Having said that, - can't recall a CFC loan, other than the worthless Quaresma. Other that this - when was it last time we had any smart decisions in the transfer market. It saddens me to say this, but i doubt we have anyone in the front office with a logical plan for our team and the execution plan to it.
