Hi Ed002, a broad question that you might just disregard as naive, but here goes;

Fans tend to fill a vacuum of information with negativity when results aren't good. We've seen it a few times at Chelsea, and we're currently in the most recent - I've seen a lot said about the competence of the board, the manager, and the interest of the owner (I know you've recently said he turned down a good offer for the club recently) . To a great extent this is due to the club not really communicating with fans, so I wondered if you could shed any light on what Chelsea as a club want to achieve these days? It seems like we're on a knife-edge of a real downturn if no CL football is secured this season. Financial implications aside, it will be the 3rd season in 4, and likely the third manager sacked. Key players are coming toward the end of their contract, the club faces a strange situation with FIFA right now, and seems to lack a coherent approach when it comes to player recruitment and youth integration.

If you've no idea, fair enough, or if you think my read of events is overly dramatic then again fair enough - but as I said, without any communication from the club we're somewhat left hanging over what they even want to do any more.

{Ed002's Note - The question is good. (a) Fans suffer from flip-flopping between elation and depression. The issue is that the are not hovering around feeling ggod with a win, OK with a draw, and let's do better with a win. They are flip flopping between players, coaches, tea ladies being worlrd or trash. It seems to be the nature of the modern days fans. (b) People question the board but don't have specific questions or issues. The manager is the greatest or the worst - it is fickle and nothing else. The owner has done nothing but support the club, turned down a very good offer not so long ago, but still gets accused of not being interested. (c) The club want sustained success but are realistic to know that is difficult. (d) I am not aware of any knife edge, but the club would very much hope they can qualify for the Champions League - which is true of many sides. (e) I am not aware of any incoherency issues about recruitment or youth integration. The expectation that the entire team will change each season is irrational - if the youth bit is about Hudson-Odoi, he was only 18 just before Christmas and is learning the game. Most fans on this site fail to grasp that for whatever reason and constantly embarrass themselves.}

It’s sad that city have overtook us so strongly when we were the the alpha with united. We were strong and really had the chance to become one of Europe’s finest and we fell behind a bit. Looks like we can expect to see us constantly battling for top 4 with a couple trophies. Still going to support them regardless! Love my side.

And Ed002 I think you completely misunderstand what the posters on this page want regarding Hudson-Odoi. I’ve said it many times that I think he has deserved more chances and game time (which he is now doing) and you’ve turned around and said some extreme things which I clearly did not mean. Not having a go mate, just think you misunderstand us completely so it’s a bit funny to say we’re embarrasing ourselves and we can’t grasp things.

Hi ed002, I was just wondering if we could get your opinion on fifa's decision in enforcing the transfer ban throughout the appeal process?

If you don't want to, it's not a problem. Thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - It is a very surprising decision - and may well not be legal. They are stepping on questionable ground over this and another matter at present.}

Ed, is there anything at all that Chelsea can do before the result of the appeal is out to delay the ban?
Someone said that we can't appeal to the CAS before the result of the appeal to FIFA is out.

{Ed002's Note - It is being looked at.}

ed in your opinion do you think chelsea will sort it and be allowed to buy this summer while the appeal is being heard and also do you think chelsea will be able to get the ban reduced or gone altogether or are chelsea in the wrong and ban will stick thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to start making predictions.}

Thanks for the insight Ed! Any chance you'd like to shed light on the other issue? Thanks again!

{Ed002's Note - No.}

A draw was the minimum we deserved. What a resilent defensive performance by Wolves. 11 men behind the ball, blocking everything. Tough tough game. Great subs by Sarri. 1 point is better than nothing.
