I'd love to see us go back to a 4-3-4 with an actual midfield that can try and have a shot from outside the box and then have two pacey wingers who can actually score goals. Fabregas is brilliant on the ball but all he can do is pass he can't run, shoot or tackle and it's like playing with ten men when he's off form. I'd love to see a midfield three of Nainggolan, Matic/ Mikel and someone like Barkley who shoots from outside the box and seems to be adding goals to his game. Then get two pacey players wide of Costa who are fast and can score goals. For me Willian would definately be one just need to give him more freedom and Hazard can go for all I care. If he goes to real try and get Bale which would be unlikely but if not definately go for Griezmann.

ONM:I assume you remember the 2004/ 5 team - Duff, Robben on the wings, Drogba and Gudjohnsen scoring regularly and Frank Lampard doing what he always did best, defending and scoring. Everything you could wish for.

Long time lurker on this site, so first off amazing work and big thanks for every fully informing post you provide. Impossible to get such usable info for free these days but you guys keep giving hehe especially on the conspiracy page so big thanks to all the Eds.

I was wondering what’s really Mr. Abramovich’s stance towards the players now. For sure disappointment is there but is it true that a major player sale is going to take place (as in more than 6 players from the starting First team) . I know if any acceptable bid for any player comes in and the player wishes to leave then the club won’t stand in the way but are there any of our starting players now on a selling transfer list already and not in the plans from july on?

From my side, as a fan looking from the outside I really question some of the player’s commitment and loyalty after this season’s performance. No matter who is appointed as coach next season and might want to work with all the players available but some players really let the club down this season. I know it’s just one season performance and last year we were Champions but What happened and The manner it did and prolonged was very unprofessional and will have a negative effect on Chelsea’s short-term future and plans.

I’m asking now since it’s more or so confirmed we don’t have champions league next season so many players’ minds will get now influenced from outsiders trying to help them. So hoping Mr. Abramovich really does axe a few of the players just to show player power is truly over in our beloved club. (here’s me hoping we play Willian and academy players only from now till end of this season hehe)

{Ed002's Note - Firstly, the owner does not sit down an make decisions about which players are to be sold. It really doesn't work like that.

Certainly players will move on from the first team squad in the summer and certainly players will be arriving. The club are already working on the way forward and there are folks now looking very closely at the loan players and fringe players as well.}

I understand that many factors and people are involved in all and any decision taken at the club. I just wanted to see if the owner personally wanted to boot some players out.

Really happy that the loan and fringe players are seriously being considered for next years squad, hope our new manager really does integrate them.

{Ed002's Note - That I cannot really answer. There have certainly been two players the owner wanted gone from the club but on both occasions it was not directly football related. He will not be making football related decisions regarding sales.}
