What happened to Wallace? The Brazilian right back

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What do you mean what happened to Wallace? Chelsea signed him and he returned to lay the rest of the season with Fluminese. He will be joining up with Chelsea this season (although may be loaned out in the simmediate future). {Ed002's Note - Not quite.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What Steve just said but a little different ;)

With Mourinho back where he belongs we are already having a tremendous summer. Noone made a more important signing, than Chelsea.

We have Lukaku, De Bruyne and Essien coming back. That's three important signings right there. If any of Chalobah, Kalas, van Aanholt or McEachran make the team, that is potentially 4 new players at the very least.

We seriously do not need much more. There will be a new back up goalie bought, most definitely a striker and possibly a defender.

If only one top deal is to be made we'd be a team to beat. My wish would be to get Cavani and ship Torres and Obi.

Hi Ed,

Read somewhere today that the deal for Schurrle is off. Maybe because Mourinho doesn't like him, or maybe because DeBruyne is staying. Do you have any insight on this? Is this deal on or off as far as you know? Is the fact that DeBruyne is staying the key factor? Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mourinho has said everyone in the squad will get a chance to impress before anyone is sold, so that includes Moses, Marin, kakuta and de bruyne, with the already hazard, mata and Oscar. What would be the point if he's happy with the above.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Schurrle just signed. The foresight into the Chelsea management's thoughts from the second poster were superb.

Ed:002

A few weeks ago it was reported that Chelsea had taken steps to enforce the outstanding monies owed in the Mutu case.
Have you heard anything as to the outcome or when the findings will be published? {Ed002's Note - There is nothing related to transfers. Why would anything be published?}

Ed002 are Chelsea going to offer Mata a new improved contract reports say a new 5 year deal is to be signed after the confederations cup? {Ed002's Note - I have no desire to discuss contracts.}

Hi,

Can anyone (fan or ed) confirm that Mourinho stated Kalas would be in the first team next season? I know of Lukaku and KdB, but apparently Kalas as well. Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks
Alessandro

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not sure about Mourinho but Steve Holland made comments about all the loanees from last season. Re Kalas he stated that he will develope into a CB and his season at RB will only aid this development. He kind of indicated another loan is likely.

WAGNH did a decent article on Hollands comments about loanees.

Never mind:

"No, we don't want to do it. It would be easier if we did that, but we don't want to do that. We're happy to go with these fantastic, talented boys. We're happy to show that the investment Chelsea made in recent seasons, by putting young players on loan, was a good decision, especially with FFP arriving. You can say we bought 15 young players and not all of them are good enough for Chelsea level. That's obvious. That's football. But imagine if you bring back Lukaku, De Bruyne and perhaps Kalas, who is at Vitesse. Bring three guys back, that's zero (spent) because the investment was made before. We want to go in this direction. The one or two we may buy are complements because the structure and philosophy is this one. I'm more than happy to do that and to help these young guys grow up. Not build the team, because the team has a structure on it. But I want to help the team improve. "

its just that iv always said I wanted kalas as daves back up next season :)

This is what he said from what I read!
"Imagine if you bring back Lukaku, De Bruyne and perhaps Kalas. "
"Bring three guys back, that's zero (spent) because the investment was made before. "

"I'm more than happy to do that and to help these young guys grow up. Not build the team, because the team has a structure to it, but I want to help the team improve. "

But the special thing about this is that, how does JM know about Kalas already to mention him. Looks like someone has starting preparing for the 2013/14

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would be nice to have as he could be the reserve right back and fill in as a centre half if necessary.

oscar = 20m
henderson = 20m

hazard = 32m
carroll = 35m

mata = 20m
downing = 20m

LOL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ramires - £17m
Joe Allen - £15m

Agree0 Disagree0

Glen Johnson £18m
Azpi £7m

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres 50 million
Suarez 22 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar 25 million
Coutinho 8 million

Torres 50 million
Sturridge 12 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar's ten times better than countinho

Torres might not score as much but at least he's a team player Sturridge Is just selfish

CfcBenWxm

Agree0 Disagree0

Enough on Torres, alright. If the lad goes on and scores 25-30 goals next season, is it still worth the joke?

Torres may not ever be the same, but Studge won't ever get close to what Torres was/is.

So you got Sturridge and Carrol for Torres money, how's the dust in trophy cabinet treating you?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think oscar's 10 times better than coutinho, Ben. Coutinho's a real good player as well and also very young. I agree oscar's better, but I have to admit Liverpool got coutinho for a very low fee, reckon he was a real steal for them

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar is considered the most influential brazilian player right now, and has captained his country to the world cup final (sub 21) where he scored a hat trick, Coutinho isn't even in the Brazilian team. Oscar plays for Chelsea while Coutinho plays for Liverpool, Oscar as a midfielder scored 4 goals in the champions league only in the group stage but that doesn't count as Liverpool find it tricky to get past 6th place

Agree0 Disagree0

Sturidge is a good player just not the top 6 quality and lol and buying carrol for 35 million

ED was RIGHT. Dealing with Napoli will be very difficult! This should go late into the transfer window unless Someone somewhere Decides to give " The Happy One " A Welcome Back Present. After all Its Blue What Else Matters

Lukaku should be given a chance instead of paying out another £50m on cavani. I wouldn't mind if torres stayed as mourinho maybe can install some belief into him. Aubameyang would be a cheap option who plays very similar to thierry henry. I think right side of the three behind the striker is a bigger problem, so I would like to see hulk brought in to add strength and a bit more pace. lastly a centre back with a bit of pace sergio ramos would be great. ALso courtois to return and fight for his place with cech.

Cech
Azip ramos terry cole
Oscar luiz
Hulk mata hazard
Lukaku

This would leave us with a very strong bench aswell:
Courtois
Ivanovic cahill ake betrand
Ramires lampard
Aubameyang de bryune moses
Torres

NWBLUE

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree but ramos would never come to chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

And courtois is on loan again next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramos? Seems unlikely given his history with Mou, plus lots of other reasons!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mangala over Ramos Perhaps? Mouriniho didn't have the greatest histroy with Ramos, and Mangala's more realistic.

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget hulk he's awful. I'd rather stick with Moses.
Cfcmatt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who says hulk is awful? you need to watch football more my friend not just friendlies against England

LRD

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha moses over hulk, seriously? hulk is so much better than moses in almost every aspect, that's like choosing downing over hazard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Terry altho club captain will not be guaranteed a place and since mou holds ivanovic in high esteem I can't see him benchwarming

I really hope we can sell Torres this summer. I watched him play for Spain against Haiti (yes Haiti) and the guy was terrible. he didn't make one good run and contributed nothing to the build up. I mean he's got the best play makers in the world ( Mata, Cazorla, Navas, Iniesta, Fabregas) playing behind him and looking for him and he is up top playing like a child. Then Soldado came on at the 60th min and hit the bar twice and had far more chances to score than torres. He's worthless, other than he works hard in defense sometimes. I really hope he is sold and we can sign a top striker then have Lukaku and Ba rotating in as well. Plus he makes 3 times what he should and will only sit on the bench next season.
