Was just going to post this too and he’s available for probably a 1/ 3 of the Sancho price. Bet we’ll go for the cheap option and it’ll come back to bite us. Good player but Sancho is generational for me.

I don’t think we’ll be having Werner, Dembele and Abraham vying for the one spot mate do you?

Hi Ed,

What is your opinion on rail seating/ safe standing in English football? I saw that United put in a request to install safe standing, with Wolves planning to implement safe standing during their stadium revamp. I believe that Spurs have this as well.

Has this been discussed as a possibility for Stamford Bridge? I recall you said that redevelopment may not be possible at this time. I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

{Ed002's Note - As a club Chelsea has been one of the sides that have resisted moves to move any sort of open terracing again - as have the National Football Policing group (I don't recall their correct title). Periodically the question comes up and if the Premier League clubs are not of one voice it means club-by-club applications. Surveys by the clubs usually get pretty much full support and assurances there will be no issues from the fans - but West Ham fans showed with their coin throwing that what they need are cages rather than safe standing. Spurs have stepped away and say it could be used at the new stadium but want to understand "what is safe". Arsenal has reservations and Liverpool have said they would have concerns that it may mean reduced capacity for them with the existing stadium. The giant risk remains the first failure and the impact that would have - which gives the Manchester United idea some good credit in having a test zone so to speak. Manchester City are with Chelsea and don't want to introduce risk at this time.}

If the club do go looking for a defensive minded player with physicality for the holding role this summer I wouldn't mind seeing Christensen tried there for a few games first like he does for Denmark. I'm not a fan of him as a CB but I do like my centre backs to be aggressive and Christensen doesn't fit that mould.

He is very good on the ball and 6'2 so I'd like to see him as the holder in a midfield three sometime or another. It might sound mad to some but he plays there for Denmark.

For me, Christensen is having his best and most consistent performances. I would leave well alone and let him continue to grow in confidence.

His confidence or lack of it has always IMO been his problem.

Totally agree TomB, AC is a very good player, underated as well (apart from Pat Nevin, who adores him) . Question for you King Frank, why do you want to change players natural positions? You were suggesting Reece James as a holding midfielder last week and now AC? James is a brilliant right back as is AC at CB. May I suggest you look at Billy G as a possible DM or even EA. Or just go with Kante and Kovacic? Why complicate things?
