very happy with the first 60 mins but , didn't think we were very good when malouda came on , where was Lukalu ? so glad that AVB has stopped playing Kalou . Was unhappy when we signed Meireles , but I might have to eat my hat because he was very good today and looks like steal if he continues to play like that. Mata , diferent gravy , just want the blues to give Torres a chance .

Malouda did OK when he came on, got a few decent shots away, bit harsh to blame him for the lacklustre finish. But Torres really needs to work alot harder than he did when he came on. His movement was none existent and his first touch horrendous. I would love to see him start scoring regularly, but I just can't see it happening while he's playing this way, without energy or any apparent passion. Hopefully he will react to being benched, and hopefully he will put in a few performances similar to the one against stoke.Miereles looks to have fitted in well though, and the Mata and Sturridge were brilliant. Have to mention Ash who linked up really well with Mata and played an absolute blinder down the left for the first 60.

first 60mins of that game we were exceptional ! but then as soon as sturridge (and a little bit later on, mata) came off we were so so poor. and as i keep saying im a big avb fan but what sense does it make to put torres on the field to play alongside malouda, anelka and lampard - 3 of the most selfish players in the squad. but even then he was so shocking as well and i am still bemused as to why lukaku was not even on the bench, especially considering he is tied for tuesday. ed's did you watch the game? and if so what are your thoughts?

Torres is now slagging Chelseas style of play, and refers to "old men" in the side, its not the style of play OR the "old men" thats making him miss chance after chance, what a waste of money, need to recoup what we can asap.

Torres will leave in January. Most likely he'll skulk back to Spain (Malaga) for about half the fee Chelsea spent on him. He is not suited to Chelsea style of play. His head was turned and neither he or Abramovich really thought about how he was going to fit in. Torres needs to be the king pin in the teams he plays in. He was this at both Athletico and Liverpool. It is not part of his game to play with other big names up front...he can't share the penalty box. He has never played well for Spain unless he is the sole target man. Sorry Nando, you will never make it at Chelsea.
