I expect Chelsea will sign Cavani, Sneijder, Mangala, v. Ginkell, maybe Fellaini and Boateng. V. Ginkell will be loaned. Also Schurrle is coming. I don't expect Hulk to sign cause it means Mata leaving. Mourinhos dominant formation will be 433.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I disagree

Agree0 Disagree0

Real Madrid will sign Cavani

Agree0 Disagree0

Schurrle is on hold until Jose has had a look at KDB apparently. Great news if true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres no reason we couldn't sign hulk. Hulk mata hazard playing behind the striker for me is a dream

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not believe we would need to sell Mata if Hulk is signed.
CFC played 69 competetive games last season, some of the guys playing over 60 games, this cannot be repeated. We need a bigger and better squad.

Players will be rotated due to suspensions, injury, loss of form and tactics.

So bring on Hulk and Cavani

Agree0 Disagree0

We aren't going to sign sneijder and we aren't going to sign hulk and we aren't going to sign fellaini. i'd be very suprised if we signed boateng but I wouldn't mind signing him. mangala, cavani, v ginkel and schurrle I hope we get.

jscottjr

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes jscott! We don't need players like Fellini and hulk who are overly overrated!

So now Benfica claim they've signed markovic on a 5 year deal? What is going on with this saga?

Franco

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Partisan Belgrade are apparently still saying Markovic is owned by Chelsea - very odd!

I know most people on this site appreciate what's the Eds do but to all you people who insult or abuse leave this site. Without the Eds giving us the info this site is pointless we may as well read twitter. None of the Eds can see into the future and cannot tell us anything definitely however they do let us know what rumours are worth believeing. So how about we leave them alone so this site continues to be the gold mine of information it is.

Ed do you think Oscar and Luiz would be a good combination for the midfield duo? With Luiz's holding and through balls and Oscar's range of passing I think it would work well with also a Brazilian understanding.

CfcBenWxm {Ed018's Note - absolutely}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hey ed018 what would your team be this season including subs, you can buy 3 players, sell 3 players and loan 3 players. They all have to be realistic buys for example players we are genuinely linked with, please everyone else feel free to add theirs
Jambo {Ed018's Note - that's a lot of typing. i'll keep it brief. sell Torres, Ba and Mikel. Buy Cavani, Van Ginkel or Khedira for center mid and buy Schurrle for the wing. Loan Chalobah, Ake and Piazon. Starting lineup, Cech, Cole, Terry, Ivanovich, Azpilcuetta, Luiz, Oscar Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Cavani. 4-3-3}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar/ mceachran/ lamps and luiz/ romeu/ ramires

Agree0 Disagree0

I have only 2 differences from you ed018, if we're going to play luiz in mid then I would buy Mangala or another equally rated young cb along with cavani and shurlle. I would also start De Bruyne as he offers more than Rami in attack and he is 2 footed and can play on either side. Subs of Rami, Shurlle, and Lukaku sounds good.

Bluelab

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with blue lab regarding if we buy a centre half then Luiz goes to the midfield and likewise opposite.

Hey Ed
I was wondering if you knew what Chelseas plans are regarding their goalkeepers. We have released both Hilario and Turnbull and it seems reasonably likely that Courtois will be going back to Atletico Madrid on loan once more. Whilst Cech is a fantastic keeper, it would surely be necessary to bring in at least one back up keeper. Any idea who we are looking at?

ED so have Chelsea signe Markovic and then loaned him to Benfica? that's what Belgrade's president thinks?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lazar markovic was sold to benfica not chelsea the confusion arose from misinterpretation of his old clubs chairman.

Ed, please post this:
Pinky,
You have been on the site for a while. Under various names. But you can do that. There's nothing stopping you. You even dislike posters if you want. But the moment you start insulting the Editorial team, you are no-longer welcome. Your post yesterday was abusive, obnoxious and bigoted and as a result you have made Ed002 decide to leave the page. You are a parasite, you either troll the Spurs page and irritate them or insult the Eds because you don't get the answer you want, reacting like a spoiled brat. If you think you could do better than the Editorial team please build your own site from scratch, go to it and never come back and we will see how you do. Top posters like MelbourneCFC, Shed End, CFCFOREVER! and plenty of others have left the site because of persons like you and unfortunately you have now stepped the boundary. Please leave the site and never come back.
As for the entire Editor team, you are all terrific people and everyone other than the ten-year old trolls like pinky really appreciate your wit, dry humour and exclusive information and to Ed002 especially, I (and I'm sure every other sensible poster) can understand why you'd want to not post because person trolls like Pinky aren't worth your time.
Thanks again for everything and I hope we can convince you to start posting again.
EH17

I think we should all realise the Ed's do this voluntary, and that they shouldn't be abbused for helping us, some trolls on here need to stop acting like 5 year old and crying when and Ed has said all he knows two posts down, Eds, 99% of people on this site appreciate the work you do, and I, like many would just like to thank you or the work you do. I agree, EH17, many of the good, old regular posters, such as the ones you've said were driven away by trolls, and I just hope that the Ed's or other posters aren't.

Eds you do a great job and are much appreciated

Top post. Safe to say the Eds do a fantastic job and provide us with top class information. The abuse needs to stop, as do the ridiculously dull questions. c'mon fellas just read the posts and use the search function and most of the time you'll find what you're looking for. Its a shame some of the posters like SHED END and MelbourneCfc have been driven away, but let's just try not to lose any other contributors.
Thanks agains Eds and posters

Edison Cavani will join chelsea this summer which will see Torres going to Napoli. All done and dusted just waiting for Confed Cup to finish. {Ed002's Note - It is not "done and dusted".}

Was nice to hear from 'the happy one' in the conference, although I though some of the questions were pretty poor, who cares about his relationship with Casillas, ask some Chelsea questions!

Also;

Dortmund's CEO said, as reported in Bild: 'Robert Lewandowski will definitely not make the switch to FC Bayern in 2013. That's final. We have informed Robert and his agents now. '

Any truth in this? are Chelsea interested in him?

Hi Ed, Do you have any transfer news regarding Thiago Alcantara? Any interest in him from Chelsea? Or other clubs? Are Barcelona looking to free up funds or are they still financially sound for further transfers even after the Neymar signing?

I understand we have interest in Cavani, Jovetic, Shurrell and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang thanks to your insight, how about Khedira or Sergio Busquets any Chelsea interest in them?

Thanks for all the good work

ed,

Havn't posted in a while as transfer news seems pretty cut and dry recently, however I was confused over the comments made by partizan president that we will be loaning markovic to benfica. does this mean we have a deal in place or that we are expected to sign him and then loan

thanks ed

Apparently we now own Markovic and he is on his way to Benfica on a loan deal from Chelsea. Anyone else know anything about this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I can confirm this is true according to my sources again.
EH17

Yep, he's a Chelsea player and will be loaned to benfica for two seasons.

Hopefully he develops well like a lot of young players do at Benfica.

Hi Ed. Some reports suggested last week we'd agreed a fee for Cavani - others are staying they've rejected bids of cash + Torres.
Do you know if we've discussed any terms with the player/agents? Do you think this is one that could drag out (again) or get wrapped up quite quickly considering we've missed out on other targets? {Ed018's Note - search the board Ed002 gave some info yesterday on this matter}

I'd quite like to see some of the returning loan players be given a chance to be in the squad and then for us to sign a keeper, Mangala or Nkoulou, Van Ginkel & Cavani.

I totally agree with Courtios staying out on loan, he's a first team keeper and shouldn't be on anyone's bench.

My Starting x11 (4-3-2-1):

Cech

Cole
Mangala
Luiz
Azpilicueta

Van Ginkel
Lampard
Oscar

Hazard
Cavani
Mata

Squad: Al Habsi, Terry, Bertrand, Ivanovic, Cahill, Essien, Ramires, McEachran, Marin, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Ba

Loans: Romeu, Chalobah, Ake, Piazon

Sell: Torres, Mikel

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oops, forgot moses on the bench. my bad

Agree0 Disagree0

Love the look of that, for me Van Ginkel, Mangala and Cavani plus a GK would be a very good transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me remove lampard from the starting line up and replace him with a tough tackling defensive mid like de rossi or even a khedira type

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps :

Azpilicueta Mangala Cahill/Ivanovic Cole

Van Ginkel Luiz Oscar

Hazard Mata

Cavani
(If we were to play 433/4321)

JMJW

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah that teams looks good, the creativity in that team would be unreal, the amount of chances that we would create, cavani and lukaku would have a ball and also I think jose will get more from luiz defensively, there will be no more slowly jogging back so I think there would be a good balance to it imo

Ed, my source suggested to me the below possibility, would it be a viable transfer list this summer (because it seems a bit too good to be true considering the two strikers/three if you count Hulk. )
Ins
Lewandoski
Hulk
Schrlle
Cavani
Van Ginkel
Mangala
Some young GK ( rumoured to be the boy from Brentford?)
it seems too good to be true, one source has suggested this to me but the general consensus from my sources appears to be that we will sign Cavani, Schrlle, Van Ginkel and Mangala. Can I ask which list is more realistic Ed?
Thanks in advance as usual.
EH17

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was kinda looking for a (entertainingly witty/sarcastic) reply Ed, but no worries, guessing it is fantasy football again?
EH17 {Ed002's Note - Sorry, I am done with providing any input to the page. It really is not worth it at all and seemingly not wanted.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I really like that general consensus you mentioned. That would make for some good business. Thanks for sharing EH17

Jackson

Agree0 Disagree0

I think having all of Cavani, Lewandoski and Hulk could be unrealistic, however the rest I can clearly see happpening, as well with the signing of Markovic.

How good would a thorgan hazard loan to palace be, or piazon to try and take zaha's minutes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm not sure if thorgan is quite ready. The issue with piazon is he's more of a luxury player where most relegation battling managers don't really have a place in their team for someone like him.

Hi Ed002, From what You know did Manchester United consider Jose Mourinho as Alex Ferguson's succesor? And would Mourinho have been keen on the move over a return to Chelsea?

Thanks in advance.

Genjuro {Ed002's Note - It was not an option.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jose would not suit united they wouldn't accept his brash style ie poking opposing managers/players in the eye it isn't the done thing even in football

Jores Okore from Nordjesland (spelling) has turned down an offer to join Chelsea, so clearly we are looking to bring in a young, powerful CB. The question is, why not give Kalas, Christensen, Omeruo, Bruma (who is leaving), or even Chalobah, Ake more playing time? I guess that's just how we do it, but anyway.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep "thats just how you do it" been saying this some time now why o why buy players for the bench it seems unfair on the players potential I use gael kakuta as a perfect example of this he could have been and should have been but unfortunately due to the pressure on the managers they won't risk blooding young talent on a regular basis. it really is a shame

dave {Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as that - forget the Okore story. Other players are at the club for the future and are out getting experience. The idea is that this will reduce the costs of transfers to the club in the longer term and make compliance with financial regulations easier. There is a plan in place for many of the youngsters with loans being sought and agreed for next season. My apologies for giving this input - I will try and make it the last.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Your apology accepted ed stop being helpful. I just don't see many youngsters getting into the first team now or in the past really I wonder what the ratio is for youngsters (with talent) coming into the club and how many a, get regular first team football or b, go on and make it somewhere else. there will be a few that have made it but I would guess the majority have there talent wasted on false promises of regular football for the fist team. as I said before to much pressure that the managers wou;ld not risk a young un and have no interest because the chances are the manager would be moved on before the lads talent comes to fruition so there is no point in risking it. I am not an arsenal fan but AW has the guts to find young stars and play them and nuture them into footballing stars.
