Bit disappointed in the news or rumours of nkunku considering options as being a back up / bit part player. Brilliant player, I'd say our best finisher actually, but his not getting ahead of Cole palmer and isn't a winger or a no9. I'd imagine he has plenty of options I just hope he stays and gets game time and sticks around.

If true, it's a big shame Todd B.
Nobody likes playing 'second fiddle', espically good players and I would imagine he won't be the last to be unsettled this season.

I can understand the “second fiddle” argument but it’s very likely that we will play well over sixty games this season including the WCC. I can see Nkunku playing more than 30 of those games. Football squads are changing in my opinion and while certain players apparently want playing time guarantees, I’m pleased that as a club that’s something, as far as I know, we have never given a player.

The problem with Nkunku is that he is a bit of another Havertz type player, still not sure what his best position is as I don't see him as an out and out number 9.

Players will always come and go. Not sure if it is just papers and lazy journo's putting stories out there but either way if he goes we will replace him. As whitey said he is not really a 9 and is mainly competing with Palmer for the 10 role. If he does go Gyokores or Osminhen would be a nice replacement and they are proper 9's to compete with Jackson. That said, I really like Jackson and don't want to see him unsettled. Lovely to be sitting 3rd in the table talking about how to improve the squad though. What a difference from last season.

I also really like Jackson West Side and you’re right what a difference this year has been finally the feel good factor has come back to Stamford Bridge. Can’t believe only 3 points separates 3rd to 11th. Think the obvious position to improve is a goalkeeper and if were being ruthless a centre half to partner Colwill.

Ed002 what's the plan for Gk? Sanchez does not look good enough to be number 1 and is error prone. Are we looking to bring in a gk in January or summer? And are we looking to use Penders next season or will he be loaned? Looks a very good gk. Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer questions about timing - January is a difficult time to buy. The club still has a GK priority.}

Hi Ed, I appreciate the feedback on it. Enzo doesn't seem like he's fully settled at Chelsea, so perhaps a move to Madrid could benefit all parties involved.
Is Tchouameni a player that Chelsea is still interested in right now? I know it was the case in the past, and Tchouameni is a fantastic player. But Chelsea also has Ugochukwu and Andrey Santos already, on top of Caicedo and Lavia. Not sure where they'd all fit.
Hope you're having a good day. And have a nice weekend :)

{Ed002's Note - Jhon Duran (F) Young left-sided Columbian forward discussed between Chelsea and Chicago Fire when negotiating another transfer. Everton, Benfica, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester United all had scouts watch him in the United States before his move to Villa. Has been scouted by Torino and Celta Vigo. The member of staff who advocated the Chelsea interest originally is still at the club and has proposed that Chelsea should look to him again after being contacted directly by his agent - but the club has far preferred targets. Your criticism was about a player not getting a loan with an option to buy. You jumped to a conclusion because you believed it worked for your continuous narrative against the owners.

Tom lad it had nothing to do about an option. It was the fact that another deal fell through.
Looks like we were swift to get him another loan, but I think even the club will be dissapointed to not sell him on for a profit this year after a decent loan spell at Burnley. Though, as I said, I believe it's complete naivety to believe we can flip these players after a year for a profit. A belief that maybe true depending on your outlook. We have copious players we have been unable to find a move for.

You said in reference to the failed loan of Fofana “Christ, WE really are a mess. ” Your comment had zero to do with any other player but you couldn’t wait to have a dig at the owners. That is just a plain fact.
As I understand it we have sold, loaned or released 41 players so far in this window. Of course it would have been good to sell or loan a few more but 41 seems an above average number to me but then again I’m not a transfer expert.
Anyone can “hunt” out a reason to be critical. I guess the reverse must be true.

Mate, getting really tired of you telling other posters what they're thinking and the reason behind there posts. You have no idea what my reasoning was and if you want to make up a reason, go for it. It's getting very tiresome though.
It is literally very obvious by reading the reasoning behind we are a mess and that is because the players we've been unable to offload or have paid to offload.
And further, part of my post was actually edited out. So again, please stop assuming you know other people's reasonings and get off your high horse.

No problem jsfinchy. If you don't want to have a discussion with people that disagree with you, interesting choice to go onto a forum discussing a football club. In the real world people disagree, you should maybe get better at talking to those who disagree.
And to reiterate my point as you clearly misunderstood, I'm criticising chelsea buying 100's of players and struggling to offload them. It's completely irrelevant whether it's an issue with us or the other party. We wouldn't be having issues offloading players if we had a clear and concise plan in place.

You are correct Tom. The old squad needed a refresh and with the sanctions it was also a very difficult time. Yes, too many signings in too few windows but that will now slow down. They are winners and highly motivated by success and won't stop until we return to the top table.

The Earls Court has basically stalled yet another master plan is just about to be published.
Will CFC manage to convince all stakeholders ( that includes the CPO) that Earls C is a viable option? That is key but let’s be honest for a variety of reasons namely the site is ready and waiting, it would obviate the need to decant during a real build, much of the transport requirements are already in place and above all the clock for CFC is ticking fast in this matter.
