1.) 09 May 2017 20:46:20
Lets see if he makes it anywhere near the first team.

2.) 09 May 2017 22:33:06

Ed, with costa possibly leaving in summer will lukaku be approached from Chelsea?

would fellow fans like lukaku as a replacement? I personally would as I think he would suit he UCL very well and id expect us to sign another proven goalscorer to play up front time to time.

WhoNeedsHistory

{Ed002's Note - The situation regarding Lukaku and Chelsea remains unchanged.}

1.) 16 Mar 2017 19:03:52
Not for me. However he's always said he's a Chelsea fan. So it'd be great if he did work out.

I don't think he'll be near the top of our list.

2.) 18 Mar 2017 17:21:31
Lukaku would be a fantastic signing, awesome young striker who supports Chelsea as well. will get better and better as well.

Anybody expecting rotation against burnley or any changes? I think it will be the usual. pedro over willian and matic over fab. ake back to the bench after being excluded.

WhoNeedsHistory

1.) 10 Feb 2017 12:10:44
Given Burnley's home record, I'd be amazed if there was rotation. full strength side IMO.

2.) 10 Feb 2017 13:23:46
yepp, im with you there. whilst I do believe that great home record will end sooner or later.

scan for his knee. player doesn't want move right now. agent might want him out of scotland though? £££££££££

2.) 31 Jan 2017 12:12:15
im from Scotland, he is a good striker for sure but can't see that he is worth all that money just yet ( if ever) celtic have won the league already and are on for 2 domestic cups so I suppose he could be in for a treble if he waits until summer.

3.) 31 Jan 2017 12:58:27
I've just had a listen to Sharkopod #8. Ed002 confirmed that there is interest in Dembele from several clubs; with regards to Chelsea there is one person who is very keen on the player and there may well be a transfer offer made. It is very unlikely that Celtic would be willing to sell.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 13:47:40
thanks steve, away to have a listen

Tammy Abraham to Swansea on loan it seems. personally I think that's a good fit. maybe llorente to us as 3rd choice? could Abraham play with llorente if he stays? . I think so. exciting times next season, will have an eye on Swansea and I suspect another couple teams with RLC and baker presumably going on loan to other EPL teams. lewy rumours seem to be growing, can't see it myself.

1.) 21 Jun 2017 10:20:20
I would take lewandowski with a heartbeat. For me he is top 3 striker in the world atm. But praising him away from Bayern Munich would be ridiculously hard or even impossible.

12 May 2017 12:45:24
ed, I know this isn't your usual sort of question. are you aware of plans to include kenedy or musonda in the final few games? thanks.

WhoNeedsHistory

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

08 May 2017 13:45:02
hi ed, is it fair to say solanke is going to leave or what is the latest regarding his future at Chelsea? thanks.

WhoNeedsHistory

{Ed002's Note - DS has no interest in Chelsea as have been shown by the demands of him and the vaguely related family member supporting him in his question for very large sums of money.}

1.) 08 May 2017 16:20:06
appreciate the reply. screw him then!

04 Apr 2017 08:18:40
hi ed, I know you dot like these questions so don't feel you have to answer. if anyone else has any idea then please do tell!

a lot of journos saying moses is out tomorrow night, any insight from anybody?! we MUST go zouma for azpil and azpi for moses if this is true, sane looks to be on fire imo.

WhoNeedsHistory

{Ed001's Note - I listed the most recent injury updates in the match preview.}

1.) 04 Apr 2017 09:20:46
perfeact thanks, hadn't looked yet.

{Ed001's Note - welcome. I do them in all the match previews.}

hi ed,

bit of alternative question.
whats your thoughts on English teams becoming better in European football.
obviously about 10 years ago they were about the best, between united and Chelsea they were mainstays for a semi final place for a good few years, and going back Liverpool were thereabout.
Barcelona seem to be coming to an end of an era to me and whilst real are a dominating side I only predict decline for atletico in Europe over the coming seasons.
so that's spain, for me, on the decline.
Europa league is different of course.

germans, RB leizpig are way off performing well in the CL id guess. Dortmund won't continue as they have done for the past few years imo, and are on the decline in UCL like atletico. this leaves Bayern who I don't doubt are top 2 with real in Europe.

psg and juve are great but that's just 2 teams and I wouldn't expect roma or Monaco or any others to really step up in the near future.

then you look at city, utd and Chelsea and they are real prospects. 3 of the best managers and plenty more money to add, id fancy one of them to win the UCL in the necxt few years and plenty of semi finals.

basically, do you agree that English teams will start to rise now or are we going to be stuck with cheering for a quarter final for a while longer? i've found the CL quite boring without an English team doing well the past few seasons.

WhoNeedsHistory

{Ed002's Note - It has been a bad couple of years or so - it will pick up.}

1.) 17 Feb 2017 16:51:43
Next year we will comeback to UCL and you will have something to cheer about at least to semi finals :)

2.) 17 Feb 2017 17:31:54
History says it works in cycles, I started watching football in the 90s and it was the Italians, juve and Milan, then towards the end going into the 2000s Spanish, Madrid and Valencia did well, then a few years of free for all, then English clubs had a good 3-5 years then, Spanish again after that, Bayern and Dortmund have had a good couple of years, it defiantly seems as though in the next 2-3 years it will be England's turn again,

3.) 17 Feb 2017 22:37:12
i watched the terry and gerrard interview and long for the semi final battles with liverpool again, would love to be battling those english sides deep into the competition like old times. some of the most exciting games.

lifestyle and mentality could see him leave.

lifestyle perks of England and London.
his mentality could influence him in craving a challenge like playing in England for Chelsea where the league is more competitive and his cv will look more complete if successful.

he is very good. id expect if he went to bottom half of the premier league he would start for say, Newcastle or Bournemouth by the end of the season. got wiped out last weekend, worth checking out. big elbow in the face, think I few teeth got knocked in!

I fully back the way Chelsea seem to be handling this. I wonder where the unrealistic wage demand has stemmed from. real shame to lose talented players due to greed at such a young age.

Lukaku or morata - Lukaku, wanting the move gives him the edge for me. morata a risk coming from the other league.

Mendy or Sandro - Sandro, defencivly more sound and still great going forward.

Van dijk or bonucci - Van dijk, younger and PL proven.

Alves or the ox - the ox, homegrown, young and always seems very motivated. conte could transform him.

Bakayoko verratti - veratti but obviously not going to happen so time to support bakayoko!

I don't think he is, I don't think he would have started for Huddersfield if all players were fit, nor Fulham brighton or Newcastle. he wouldn't get gametime in PL or at BMG. hope I am wrong.

in Huddersfields case, id expect kasey palmer and danny ward. ward who has been on loan from Liverpool has looked very impressive. id imagine that brown will have another championship loan.
