Any of the ed's please shed light on chelsea's interest in players who have been linked to us
Matt hummels, marquinhos, ousmane dembele, higuain, kante.
Also is there any discussion opened with other player agents/ clubs?

{Ed002's Note - Renne's Ousmane Dembele is of interest to Chelsea and a lot of other sides. PSG had no intention of selling Marquinhos in the summer and have agreed a new contract with him - regardless of interest from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea. Interest of Manchester United has gone. However, the player is continuing to have a difficult time with no regular pattern to his game time and this has led Chelsea to put a marker in place with PSG over another discussion about the player. Barcelona have a different player in mind as first choice but could look again to Marquinhos. It would not be a surprise to see further interest from Bayern Munich once their new manager arrives. Leicester's N'Golo Kante performances this season have attracted the attention of a number of sides not least Juventus, Chelsea and Arsenal. Last summer Kante was on the verge of joining Marseille when Claudio Ranieri intervened, telling Caen their price would be met and taking the player on a guided tour of the Leicester City ground and training facilities. Anecdotally Shakhtar Donetsk approached Boulogne about taking Kante as a replacement for Fernandinho but Kante decided his future was in the French second division with Caen.}

Well guys let's talk about the elephant in the room.
Conte vs mourinho vs guardiola vs klopp
The first two people are supposedly very vocal and have guts to take hard decisions. Let's take a look at reality.
Chelsea has ivanovic, Cahill who are past their best and contribute next to nothing. People who talk about Terry remember with him at least our organisation doesn't let us down. Also Willian is at best an average player who can be a good sub. I am not wanting to talk about Oscars. These players don't have the ability to play in the system that conte plays which is a high tempo game. At the same time we have players like Chalobah, ruben, Aina, bats who has the quality to be contributors to the system conte plays. Now conte so far has shown no evidence of acting against the elephants in the room.
mou failed doing the same. Still he is doing it at man u. Looking at today's match he is clearly lacking guts to do what he should have done at Chelsea.
Both people knows the players at both clubs do not suit the way they play but are lacking guts to do it.
Take a look at guardiola. He moved city's biggest fan favourite. Nothing personal. It's business. Hart does not play the way he likes his keeper to play. Toure for all his talent is another elephant in the room. Many a time it brings disaster if not acted at the earliest to remove these obstacles. It's about playing with players who suits your way of play. Ancelotti understood this and played mceachran who would have been a star player had ancelotti stayed on. But he had to go thanks to another elephant named torres.
Klopp did the same thing with balo and better. They can't play his high press style.
So folks take your pick. 2 men did what needs to be done and are getting results. 2 men are still thinking and not acting. And we all can see what's that doing to the respective teams results. Come may they will learn it in a very hard way if they don't act now to take care of the elephant (s) .

Conte needs at least one season to sort this team out. Just like Klopp at Liverpool, and they are still inconsistent.

Bobby i agree with you mate. But what i am trying to say is that Conte needs to act now to drop non-performers. The 1 year time is to set right the squad by playing chalobah, ruben, aina etc. if he doesn't give them a chance now, he surely won't be giving them chances next year when the pressure is even higher.
Hope he acts before its too long.

I agree with the points raised but we have to be patient. it takes time to come into a club and change things around. he needs time to figure out who isn't going to cut it and then who is. our first 10 games are bringing us up against teams with different levels. fast players and players who play hard etc so after those 10 games I think conte will have the correct players in their correct playing positions and we will look like the team we know we should be.

Hey Guys,
For those blues who didn't get to watch the match against Rapid here's the summary:
Match review:
Started off with our usual 4-2-3-1 formation and saw the usual from our midfielder players' which was to step backwards instead of putting pressure on the opponent when they had the ball and allowed rapid's midfield to dominate the game in the early stages.
This resulted in the first goal as rapid found it easy to have a go at our back line. Our defense didn't cover it in glory either. Attack was lacking usual fair and the single striker system does not inspire any result and resulted in us creating zero chances in the first half. The coach was pretty agitated in the touch line with our play.
Second saw 2 substitutions which started showing some results as we controlled the game better and had few chances. More than this rapid did not get any chances at goal until a school boy error in the 83rd minute gifted them their 2nd goal. We came close to scoring at least 3-4 times in this period. Lot of substitution done in the second half and all except 1 sub player did well in view. As the game neared its end more attackers were thrown on to the pitch resulting in 4-2-4 formation with focus on quick attacks but to no avail. At last it ended with 2-0 in with rapid getting their deserved win.
Positives:
Moses - Played with lot of energy and created 2 chances. He used the width of the pitch drew out the fullbacks to create space for costa and others
Djilobodji - That was good display in defense. No nonsense play throughout the match with winning some good headers and putting in some tackles
Aina - Real find of the match. played at left back and ran the show in second half. he and moses combined well down the left side. was unlucky not to score from a inswinging kick from 30 yard
Chalobah - played with calmness and had lot of good touch in the midfield. had a shot on target from 30 yards. rolled out the ball well for players to move forward
Willian - Continued from where he left last season
Negatives:
Ivanovic - school boy error and no energy on display.
Oscar - Poor touch and no sense of play
Mikel - Side passes and slow down play.
All 3 are not up there and needs to be moved on.
Matic and loftus cheek needs to improve on work rate and passing.

Actually Chelsea played 343 during second half. Yes Djilobodji looked good apart from the first goal which was his and Baba's fault. I am more worried that we didn't create many chances😎.

Agree with most of that Indian Blue mate. Fairly poor performance and it was obvious that these guys have been off for some time. It'll get better when the fitness comes and we have other players to return yet. Don't agree on Djilibodji, thought he was rash in the tackle and was at fault for first goal. Moses and Aina by far the best 2 players for us. Also would put Begovic in the negative section, looked very shakey.

It was the normal formation except for 1 central midfielder rather than two. Just because players are committing forward doesn't change our formation. If so when we take corners it must be a 7-3 formations. Don't get too caught up in formations.

Although it was our first game of the pre season I think we should be looking to move certain players on and promote and buy in younger hungrier players .
Out Matic and Obi, Kante and Chalobah in.
Out Ivanovic and Djilobodji in Aina and one to come in.
Out Moses and Reme, in (possibles) Gabigoal and Anderson/
Not too much spent out and we will have a good squad to go forward with, and sell on any players that don't wish to be at the club or will not make the grade, just an opinion .

Where on earth are you lot getting that papy played well?!?!? He was garbage! Lost count how many headers he went up for and missed it! Exposed for first goal he has to read one twos around the box a young terry would of read the goal scorer run. What on earth you watching 😂.

My view on today's game was we where poor, as expected with it being first pre season. I thought Moses was great and looked a threat every time he got the ball, aina played well along with chalobah when subbed on. I can't help but feel sorry for Costa as we sit so deep where as he plays so high up the pitch, chasing defenders on his own a lot of the time. When we play high up the pitch we look a very good side but when we drop deep where awful. With mikel and matic you would think the defense would be well covered but it still seems easy for other teams to find pockets of space around our box to create chances. Very pleased with kante signing but unless matic or mikel move on then I think loftus cheek would benefit hugely from a premiership loan. Overall first game, only preseason so all about fitness but I hope conte try's his way of playing instead of basically using the formations the Chelsea team have been using for years because two holding in a 4-2-3-1 bores the hell out of me.

That was our first pre season game and Rapids seventh (they've won the previous six, cheeky fiver on them to win Champions League) . Some of our players are bound to be rusty.

Sad day and Hazard still has his reaction of the crowd to come but he's gone and we need to carry on. Sunderland are very poor so I am not reading too much into this game although still vulnerable down the right. As it stands the pressure 'may' well switch to Louis Van Gaal!

while i like your optimistic view, let us not forget we are talking about the "Special One". Don Conte is great but do remember the "Special One" is still special.
i really don't believe Pep will challenge for EPL even with this squad but Jose will and i think it will be a close race this time with us being in the mix provided our key players are fully fit. don't discount klopp and pochettino. They are smart as well.

As i said Willian was a pure gut feel.
As regards, Manolas - Ed002 explained that Roma don't want to sell. However situation is not in their favour. Also they are interested in Ivanovic. So i give a good chance that this can happen.
Barbosa - Situation is not so clear. but latest news indicates we have offered more than Juventus and Barcelona is pursuing Gabriel Jesus. So again this can happen.
Saul - Ed002 clearly stated he was offered to Chelsea and money was an issue earlier. Also he is Jorge Mendes client with whom we have a good relationship. I don't see why we can't get it done. in my view this transfer stands a good chance.
Greizmann - Though Ed002 stated he was off the market initially, later on he stated the situation has changed and he could move. Naturally he was slated too much and did not update thereafter. But he indicated chelsea are working to get Greizmann and athletico will naturally demand Costa as replacement. Hence this can also be done.
Lukaku and Begovic - I agree everton would want a straight deal. However i think they need a decent keeper whom they haven't found till now. We have one whom we can sell to them. so its win-win for both.

My In's and Out's - Diego Lopez (expect begovic to be part of Lukaku transfer) ; Manolas (Ivanovic expected to go other way as Roma has interest) ; Barbosa (latest news indicates we will get it done) ; Saul niguez (Already offered to us and Ed 018 when asked about him did not respond. so i presume him to come)
Greizmann (Costa. Need i say more) and Koulibaly .
Outs; Begovic, Ivanovic, Costa, Willian (again gut), Mikel, Oscar, Pedro and Remy.
