Ed002
Do you know if there is a problem with CHO?
The manager has made several public comments about him needing to work hard in training which isn't a regular occurrence with other players.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Callum Hudson-Odoi is a youngster who does need to work harder in training if he wants to meet his expectations of being a regular starter for the club. There is competition for places as there was when Willian and Pedro were still with the club. I would not call it a problem, it is something that all young players need to do.}

Pleased to hear that Ed002 but he hasn't made such pointed comments about Mount, Abraham and James.
I don't think the Bayern interest helped and then he had a long lay off with an injury which is taking time to recover from fully.

{Ed002's Note - That would be because they are working hard in training and doing enough to earn their starting chances.}

Hopefully Callum has the right character and takes it the right way.

THE WAY I SEE IT:
NB: The ideal situation is a player that trains well and performs well on the field of play.
But many players are not good trainers (poor trainers) but they turn up great on the field of play, that could mean that what matters is how well a player turns up or performs when he’s being called upon, I think Lampard knows that so for him to be saying something about Hudson Odoi clearly means something isn’t right. Besides this issue about Hudson Odoi being a poor trainer has been echoed before now, WHY IS IT BEING RE-ECHOED AGAIN AT THIS MOMENT? Is the question we should be asking ourselves.

CHO is a very talented footballer but seems to lack the work rate that is necessary for success. These young lads should look up to a guy like CR7 which is still working tirelessly even in his 30s.

Agreed AshK. CR7 is without doubt the best role model for any up and coming football player. Love child aside, when it comes to his professionalism, dedication and work rate, there are few better than him!

Interestingly, Jose has dropped Dele Ali from the Spurs squad today for not pushing himself in training. Jose has said before that Dele Ali doesn't train hard enough but Jose has also said that Dele Ali has the potential to be world class.

I'm sure that Frank would say exactly the same about CHO.

I can see us selling CHO and replacing him with Jaden Sancho.
