I listen to talk sport regularly and work nights so listen to the sports bar 8' which apt people ring up. Other night I think it was mickey gray ex Sunderland player talking about now lampards spent £200m he HAS to deliver silverware, saying his had a year and time to deliver, I agree completely that there is more pressure on us and we haven't got the excuse of transfer ban and not franks players etc but to talk about it as if his job will be on the line if we don't get silverware after £200m I'm wondering why there's not outrage for ole who's had a lot longer than frank, been managing for years longer ( media talk like United his first managerial job ) and he has spent a vast amount too, maguire / wan bissaka / Fernandes plus the millions spent each window before his arrival,

don't worry what other people say. Ignore them.

Chelsea have a history of moving on managers that don't succeed. Lampard has had a year to get his feet under the table and now the club has spent a fortune. It's only to be expected if he doesn't bring silverware that he loses his job. It's not about Man Utd, Liverpool or any other club, this is the way Chelsea operate.

Maybe in the past, Rover, I see this one ending differently.

Unless we get some embarrasing results, I see Frank staying in the job for a while.

Decent run in the league and cups this year. He wasn't that far off silverware in his first in charge. Seems the board are happy with him, hence the spending.

With Cech being the calming go between, that helps the board to not be so rash.
