Well that was disappointing. Kante not fit to start, Azpi pulling up injured, Pulisic injured early in 2nd half, Willian out. On top of that we get an atrocious ref (I refuse to believe the game would be fixed, so let's just assume Taylor is a piss poor ref as he's the same guy that called a foul on Alonso after he got clattered by Gazzaniga in our PL match against Spurs before VAR intervened) . It was always going to be hard to win like that.

Still gutted. I don't think we brought enough to win it today, just a shame the manner in which we had to lose. If Pulisic doesn't pull his hamstring when in on goal, it might well be a goal and our star winger still playing. Instead it's our star winger injured and no goal. Fine margins, and they decide the outcome of matches.

Congrats to Arsenal I suppose, though I don't think they were particularly brilliant themselves. If it's full strength Chelsea vs Arsenal with a decent ref then I think we come out the winners. Alas, hopefully next season.

We can still win the Champions League Jackson! Hahaha!

I do think we have got a lot to look forward to next season.

The players we have signed and the ones we will sign can only make us a stronger team.

I would, like a lot of other posters, get the club to sign someone who can coach our defensive unit.

Yes much to look forward to though I fear it will not be ECL trophy this season! On ref issue am also not usually into conspiracy theories though would certainly make an exception for the Norwegian ref who turned down those three clear pen shouts when we were knocked out by Barcelona and Didier rightly went berserk at end. But do wonder why the FA made Taylor the first ref to be given a second FA Cup final and especially when his first one was AFC beating us (and Moses sent off) in 2017. Is he currently the top rated or what explains the choice?

I may well be making this up but I think the head of the referees who’s name I can’t remember is regarded as pretty awful.

Maybe the problem of our refereeing standards are down to him?

Or maybe I’m just being a bad loser!

Well, there's starting to be a theme with Taylor refereeing Chelsea matches. He missed Son's stamp on Rudiger, the Gazzaniga karate kick on Alonso, Lo Celso's stamp on Azpi, Maguire's kick in Michy's crotch, booked Willian for diving after Bruno Fernandes fouled him in our home match against United, and he also missed a blatant handball by Alexis Sanchez in our FA Cup final against Arsenal 2 or 3 years ago, a handball through which Alexis was able to score.

A huge, match altering mistake of a decision doesn't seem to be far away whenever he's the ref for a high profile Chelsea match.

Interesting details Jackson, thanks for them, and hadn't realised Taylor the ref for all of these.
