Hakim Ziyech is an absolute steal in the modern day transfer market for the fee agreed. I'm not sure how Chelsea managed to do that but kudos to those involved in the deal.

I think that ends our pursuit in Sancho given the fees involved. We need strengthening in multiple areas and we should not put all of our eggs in 1 basket. Maybe signing Sancho for the enormous fee quoted would have comprised other areas? We still need a striker and defensive reinforcements.

Ziyech is an absolutely brilliant player and at 26 he has all his best years ahead of him.

I think it definitely would have affected our bussiness for other areas if we went for Sancho. Seems like a Sancho deal could very easily go over 200m when you include everything which is just outrageous. We have too many positions to strengthen and i'd much rather use our budget for multiple positions than use soo much on 1 player. Can very easily sign 3 or 4 top quality players with the money it'd take to sign Sancho. Ziyech is a great start though, brilliant player. Surprised he wasn't snapped up in the summer tbh.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sancho stay at Dortmund another season. He could still end up here. Think going to United would ruin his career and City didn’t treat him great so think he might want to wait out another year. He’d be rotated to much at Liverpool too.

Well Dortmund are clearly pricing Sancho away from any potential move.

However, if there is a club that will overspend for a player then that is Man Utd. They will make him their highest earner and their record signing with ease. It won't work out for him there too.

IMO Chelsea did the safe thing and snapped up Ziyech whilst they could. I would rather see us sign a few more quality additions with the funds we have.

I still think PSG will offer silly fees for Sancho, especially with the prospect of losing Mbappe, Cavani and Neymar in one summer.

Good comment CFCShak; 'safety first' is indeed a smart philosophy.

Agree Shak I’d like Sancho but can’t be greedy we have Ziyech now for me who is a quality European forward and two up and coming youngsters in CHO and Pulisic who can battle it out to play on the opposite side. I hope we play Ziyech on the right and not in the centre so he can cut in and use that wand of a left foot.

Much rather see us use the rest of the funds for a quality striker, defensive midfielder, left back and goalkeeper. I think Sancho will stay at Dortmund.
