CHO's contract situation has really gone on way too long, don't know why he's taking so long to make a decision. If i'm the club and he hasn't decided to sign the new contract by the end of the month then just take the money from Bayern and move on. Shouldn't be held ransom by an 18 year old. Fans have done nothing but support him, been offered silly money for his age and with Lampard as the manager he won't have any issues getting into the starting 11 when he's fit.

I'd understand him being hesitant if we still had Sarri, and if the club didn't make changes but that's not the case. Everything is set-up for him to succeed here and be a big part of Chelsea's future, it shouldn't be a difficult decision to make especially if all he cared about was playing time.

Exactly LB90 - if CHO doesn't want to play for Chelsea then sell him - bored of this crapola.

Sensible post Nobody should be guaranteed first team football. Not at a big club like Chelsea anyway.

The whole point is to perform and then your guaranteed first team football. The motivation must be to perform for CHO. The platform is set for him, it depends on whether he has the hunger and desire to get what he wants at Chelsea. He needs the right attitude to succeed here.

'CRAPOLA', That's another one. Good luck to Hudson Odoi in whatever decision that he decides to take. There's nothing that the eyes will see and cry blood, it must always be tears.

Let’s remain positive lads. Mason Mount has just signed a new five year contract and I remain very confident CHO will be signing soon.

COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

I suspect CHO just wants to know he’s going to get minutes. A few chats with Lampard and I’m confident he’ll get the assurance we’ve got big plans for him and he’ll sign.

Exactly Tom b then hopefully Reece then we’ve got 4 really good players committed for the long term plus the other talent we already have I can’t wait for the season to get started now.

RVD1997; the question is: why doesn't Hudson Odoi think that he will get minutes? Doesn't he believe in himself or does he want to pl.

- or does he want to play alone. I think we the fans praised him so much to the detriment of the team or club.

I appreciate the negotiation process and its place in all types of business but asking for game assurances is something I don't like in any sport.

I Have a feeling that CHO is bordering between confident and arrogant. This whole saga is leaving me with a bitter taste, either stay and rightfully keep your place in the team or put in a transfer request and head to Munich where things may not be as rose colored as they seem.

The longer that this drags on, the less support he'll get. Imagine that he leaves on a free next summer after the fight and support that we gave him last season, I'd be happy to see the back of him and bring in someone who would be determined to fight and compete for a first team spot.

I guess there must have been one but I can’t remember the last time Chelsea kept a player for a season when he made it clear he wanted to leave. My assumption is CHO hasn’t made it clear he wants to leave and I don’t think he has asked for a transfer.

I’m nearly getting as bored with the will he, won’t he, CHO contract issue as I was with the Courtois and Hazard sagas!

I want him to sign a new contract and as I’ve said I’m confident he will but whatever happens, I just can’t see the club selling him!

Let's not forget that it's not some team of mid-table obscurity that's showing interest in him. It's Bayern Munich! A massive, massive club. There are very few players, including various club legends, that wouldn't give the move some thought.

Or could it be that he wants to be fully fit from injury, have a run of games, see how that pans out and maybe sign or refuse the contract. Most players don't like making transfer moves to other clubs or extend their deals when they are not fit.
Dharmesh Seth of Sky Sports said (in their News room yesterday at 7:00pm said that, there are mixed reports concerning Hudson Odoi's contract extension story at Chelsea; he said that, 'Bayern Munich are not giving up their chase for Hudson Odoi but there are reports that he's close to extending his deal with Chelsea; and there are also reports of Chelsea been wide apart in any agreement with Hudson Odoi's camp; He also said that, after talks between Hudson Odoi and Frank Lampard, all camps (which includes: Chelsea, Hudson Odoi camp and Frank Lampard) still needs to sit together and iron out a head way. It really has to be that Hudson Odoi wants assurances which I think Chelsea shouldn't give him, if he's not confident that he can win a place in this team, I think Chelsea should sell him if a good offer comes in.

I don’t think there is a need to sell him particularly with the ban but it’s all about opinions!

I must be the only person that looks at the situation and thinks “if a team like Bayern who has the ability to sign a guy like Ousmane Dembele or Nicolas Pepe yet chooses to hold out for CHO then he must be some type of player. ” If you don’t think every young player in the world is getting told by those around them that they deserve the world by everyone around them then you’re lying to yourself. He realizes he has the leverage in the situation and wants to ensure he’s in a good spot before tying himself to the club for an extended period. Fair play to him.

Top players want to play for top teams in their countries (esp in the elite league countries) .
No German player will turn down Bayern Munich to come to Chelsea or ManCity; or Spanish player turn down Barcelona or Real Madrid to come Chelsea or ManCity etc. I wonder why Hudson Odoi isn't looking convinced with Chelsea's advances.

Obinna, I wouldn’t stress too much about it unless he doesn’t sign by the end of the window and start of the season. I’m confident he will want to play under Lampard.
