The paying customers in other words the fans are clearly divided about Sarri this is our version of Brexit.
He arrived promising attractive football against a back drop of the board sacking a popular manager who had achieved miracles with a limited squad so little wonder the fans have reacted negatively to the boring fare that has been served up.
This division is unhealthy and very counter productive for the club .
I see no way he will remain and his departure will be dressed up as another club wanting his services in Italy.
If Frank wants the job it's his but it's a big call so early in his career.
But if the transfer ban is accepted
he has in essence got a free ride for 12 months at least to give our young players a chance.
Given this approach I believe the fans would back him to the hilt irrespective of winning anything.

Turvey, I like your description of Sarri as our Brexit. It certainly does divide opinions.

If I recall correctly, there were tons of fans slating Conte near the end of his tenure at Chelsea due to his negative and unattractive football? Even pundits were calling his tactics in some games 'criminal' and of course most of our fans jumped on the bandwagon.

I see a bit of cycle here mate. You could say the same occurred with Jose during his 2nd stint. As soon as we start getting bad results the anxiety amongst the fans increases.

I like sarri a lot
With the current crop of players we have there is no way we could of competed with the top 2 am I sad about that yes indeed I am
Spurs are 3 or four years ahead of us in terms of managers team and they finished below us
I think with the squad we have which is certainly in transition with lots of players ageing youngsters coming through and star players leaving
And a squad with a mish mash of ex managers players picked for there systems I think sarri has done a great job
3rd in league and 2 yes 2 Cup finals and everyones negativity in the ground on social media and media you would of thought we got relegated
Even the year Jose took us to 10th was more positive than this
I find it appalling to be honest the treatment of sarri jorginho and others and the negativity is ridiculous.

Zola I disagree with you on this being the best possible result from our current squad. If Sarri had tweaked his approach earlier like Conte when results were negative, we would have been better off.
You only referenced Conte when he no longer cared because the board reneged to support his transfer. I wonder if you also remember his first season, title winning season. IMO I will rather have Conte than Sarri as a manager if both are supported transfer-wise. Conte is a winner and is more adaptable technically. IMO Sarri is just another kind of Wenger who believe football should be played in a particular way. Atimes method over result.
I will support Sarri if he remain our manager but won't be pained if he left.

Gianfranco, my health isn’t what it was but I’m getting old so it’s not surprising.

My grandkids and Chelsea keep me busy but I find both exhausting. Haha!

Thanks for asking Gianfranco. Hope you are well?

COME on OUR MiIGHTY CHELSEA.
