This will probably be a very unpopular post but I think we might actually be a better 'team' once Hazard leaves.

I think we got ourselves into a bad position by being so dependent on Hazard's performances. If there were other players at his level in the team, that would alleviate the responsibility/ restriction that he has.

Look at teams such as Liverpool and Man City, if Salah isn't firing, they have Mane and Firmino. If city doesn't have Aguero, they have Sterling and both Silvas'.

We could do well to reinvest the Hazard fee into 2 or 3 players that could all share the scoring responsibilities. We could also avoid losing Hazard and use funds by selling other players to help Hazard and the core of the team overall. He's been crying out this to happen since Diego left, I'm just not sure that is what will happen. We should enjoy him while he is still in blue, we've been spoiled to have him!

{Ed0333's Note - I think you’ll find and God hope it never happens but without Salah I think we’d be profoundly less effective. I’m not sure Lalana or Shaq bring to the table what the Egyptian king does. Players move on and dispensable. If hazard moves I’m sure in time you’ll replace him with another idol.

im not sure about that edd wev had such luck with leaders like cech terry cole lampard drogba etc its hard to not agree with me that we never replaced them. we did for s while in terms of costa up top but u can't replace superstars and hazard although tends to be inconsistant he is a super star and a club legend.

{Ed0333's Note - are you really trying to say Chelsea won’t produce another megastar footballer? I really find that hard to believe mate.

Hazard is a fantastic player but superstar no in my eyes. He’s not mentally good enough.

Kante. It would make life a lot easier if you tell us the players you do like at Chelsea.

I like a lot of them mate I love Hazard. But the constant talk gets on me nerves about him leaving. If he doesn’t want to sign then go. There’s only two players I dislike that frustrate me which are Willian and Alonso.

Kante, ’your not alone with the Hazard boredom and you are echoing the sentiment of a lot of posts about Willian and Alonso.

Kante i think your post isn't all that bad. We all love Hazard, however its clear he doesn't want to be at chelsea. If he does stay then its because Madrid don't want him. His press behaviour is poor, his taking liberties knowing the club can't do much given his contract situation. It would cause chaos if someone spoke.

Anyway, if he leaves then it gives the platform for somebody new to be the next idol. We may play better when we are less reliant on Hazard. We may play poorly without him. Biggest idol for any club is a striker and we need a top one at the bridge.

Agree totally, KK - we should have cashed in for big bucks last summer - I love Hazard but the 'will I, won't I? ' game is wearing thin.

You are very right CFCShak, I don't think anyone loves Hazard more than me, sometimes i feel my heart is about to stop with the talk or thought of him leaving Chelsea, but I must confess that i am tired of his interviews (like you put it- taking liberties knowing the club won't do him nothing- an attitude seems to be common with some Belgian players these days) . He has my blessing to go if he wants to leave.

In Nigeria there's a saying we echo which is, "SOLDIER COME SOLDIER GO BUT BARRACKS REMAIN". So good luck to Hazard if he wants to leave cos another great soldier will come to Stanford Bridge after him.
