I think it's fair to say that we were all annoyed at some point by players like De Bruyne/ Salah/ Lukaku not getting a fair shake at the club.

We, the fans, say the same thing about our youth players like RLC/ CHO/ Christensen etc.

I have to ask, why are some fans currently so quick to want to sack Sarri? Why aren't you happy to offer time for a new system to embed?

I'll say it again. 4th in the league and still in 3 Cup competitions and people are losing their minds. I can't get my head around it.

We are ahead of where we were last season, with a new manager in his first 6 months in English football. Imagine city sacked Pep after his first year, without backing him in the market to clear out unwanted players.

Time and trust is what is needed.

{Ed0333's Note - as far as I recall there wasn’t a profound clamour for Salah to be kept at the club by fans when you guys loaned/sold Mo Salah. To be fair he wasn’t even half the player he was he is now and nobody could have predicted his meteoric rise and if I’m being completely honest I wasn’t particularly enamoured when we signed him for 40 odd million quid.
As for Sarri like you’re self I don’t understand why people are so up his ass? He guided Napoli to second place twice in three seasons playing swashbuckling football so he has caliber. Just because he’s not won the league straight away like Conte he’s deemed a failure he needs time to implement his ideas. He also didn’t have a proper preseason so that is a massive hindrance. Just concentrate on getting top 4 and I’m sure you guys will be ok next season.

I suppose, Ed, now, we see fans saying that we got rid of Salah. Annoyed he's doing well for Liverpool. I'm basing him a bit on how fans are about him now.

I'm like you, when he was at the club, he did nothing to show me he was worthy.

{Ed0333's Note - maybe he just needed to grow a beard and his hair long. Maybe he’s like Sampson half the man he is with short hair. You can’t cry over spilt milk mate you guys have Pulisic and he’s potentially an elite level player and a proper Salah-esque superstar.

Salah was awful here let’s be honest albeit not given a proper go. De Bruyne on the other hand I was gutted when he left. But I didn’t see Salah becoming the player he is now when first here.

Salah probably understands German more than he understood Portuguese. Mind u he had the scouse language to comprehend, so fair play to the bloke.

I think the point is getting missed, here.

To simplify, we moan about players not getting time, why are some fans so quick to want Sarri sacked?

Because he insists on playing our only 2 World class players out of position? Because he insists on playing Jorginho when it obviously isn't working? Because he insists on playing Alonso ahead of Emerson? Because he insists on playing Willian and Pedro ahead of CHO? Because if other teams crowd Jorginho, he doesn't have a plan B? Because he doesn't seem to comprehend that possession without creativity is pointless (and boring to watch)?

Because he accuses his players of lack of motivation when one of main roles of management is to motivate the players? Because he hasn't worked out that, if he is going to play Kante in a more advanced position, Kante should be played on the left to cover the defensive frailties of Luiz and Alonso? Because he picks his nose during interviews? All these and many more.

If we played the high press when, like Sarri wants, it wouldn't matter what position Kante played. Basically, he's doing the same job, winning the ball higher up the pitch. Hazard, yes, needs to be out left, and will be when a trusted striker comes in. People p*ss and moan about Giroud and Morata, but p*ss and moan when they don't play, Sarri can't win in that respect! Sarri is being forced to play Haz out of position. Jorghino isn't working, cos the players aren't taking on the system. Remember, up until the Spurs game, we were UNBEATEN, with the system quite obviously working. We all raved about how we played.

Sarri spoke about CHO and how he's progressing. We've had probably 10 youth players called to be next big thing and never amounted to anything at Chelsea. Imaging CHO gets a run of games and plays awful, how will the crowd react? Sarri is protecting him, and rightly so. Alonso, I agree with you.

Lack of motivation, our last 3 managers have complained about this. They can't all be wrong. And further to that, Arsenal is arguably the biggest game of Chelsea season, especially when a win practically knocks them out of the top 4 race. Players should be up for a game like that without needing to be motivated. Luiz has been one of our top performers this season so picking on him is a moot point.

I say, give him his time, to build his squad and system and allow us have a chance of a monopoly on the league like Liverpool in the 70/ 80s and United in the 90s. How did all that come about for them? Because trust and backing was given to long term managers with a long term plan.

MDW, if that's what you want to take from that, so be it.
