We have to support Sarri as we cannot go through many more managers at the rate we do. However, he is coming across as completely intransigent with only one way of playing and granted he may not have the players he wants to play his style, he has to make good with what he currently has and he is not. Already, the players are to blame when his fixation with his set up and substitutions are clearly not working and sad to say his obsession with Jorghino may well cost him and the team; Jorghino is not good enough for us and the Premiership is a bridge too far. Granted you need time to adjust but the amount of ball he has had and it is half way through the season and not one assist and the tempo he sets is almost static. Sarri-ball is a myth, it is possession football which Guardiola employs and whilst they have an end product we do not; to date I see nothing special in Sarri at all.
Hazard is playing like a man with the weight of the crowds expectation on his shoulders and when it is clear that we are not working he is disappearing from the game and unless we produce something out of the hat he will leave in the summer. I would drop Jorghino, bring Kante back to where he belongs and as much as he irritates me, give Loftus-Cheek a chance in the middle with Kovacic (personally I would not sign him at the end of the season, we could do better with goal potential) on the left. I have to agree with others, time to drop/ rest Alonso and give Emerson a run, he's quick, crosses well, runs with the ball nicely and most of all he gets back into defensive position better than Alonso. We all know a target man is essential and on the assumption Higuian is coming put Hazard on the left where he wants to be and rotate Hudson-Odoi with Pedro for pace. We all know what happens at the club when managers starting criticising players to the extent Sarri did yesterday, we go backwards fast.

Simply compare pep and Klopps first seasons and I think 4th on the last day with that city squad and Klopp I think was 7th or 8th, I agree he needs time, and his players. On the other hand. Emerson could get a chance, it’s good his shown faith in a struggling player but gone on long enough and also will he except that jorginho isn’t cut out for this league? He needs a few windows and we can judge him, Sao notes everything he said was bang on yesterday, but will need to take some responsibility, that arsenal side conceded 5 to Liverpool, lost to West Ham and we had 1 shot on target,

I agree with a lot of what your saying but criticising the players is correct. It’s about time the players took some responsibility for the awful performances of late. Regarding pep and city let’s not forget city were already a really strong team and he was as given 2-3 transfer windows and as far as I know was backed 100% to purchase players that he wanted not who the board decide. It’s quite simple really purchase players the manager picks as he knows they suit the way he wishes to play (it also helps when you spend half a billion in two years) . When sarri joined we were a team lacking in confidence and unhappy at playing a certain brand of football. We also had a World Cup and certain players who did not want to be here. Overall we are where I would expect us to be but we desperately have to give the manager 100% control for once. We know sarri likes attacking football which is what the fans and the owner want to see so back him, give him the players he wants and stop trying to put square pegs in round holes. A slight concern is how willian and alonso keep starting even though performances haven’t been great. We desperately need to give CHO game time, he has the potential to be a huge star and if we sell him now we will only be back in for him in 5 years for £150m as this seems to be the Chelsea way. Let’s not make the same mistakes as we have with de bruyne, salah, Lukaku etc.

Difference between pep and Sarri is pep knows a good player when he sees one. If he was manager of this side he’d have dropped Willian and Alonso a long time ago.

Difference between Sarri and Pep is Pep rejected us because we needed a squad overhaul that he wasn't guaranteed to get (amongst other things) . Cut it whatever way you like we're a poisoned chalice for managers and they're setup to fail before they begin. So Sarri plays youth and drops Willian and Alonso, watch the player revolt ending in him getting sacked for losing the locker room, Willian did it with Conte, Hazard with Mourinho. It's got to stop, we need a squad overhaul it's as simple as that but the board have had soo much change and no lack of long term direction that we're now stuck with an aging squad that requires significant investment and a board that's hesitant to do it. It will happen but it will take time, this team has the foundations of being great but is still a far cry away from being great and a far cry away from past Chelsea teams. Patience!
