Hudson-Odoi and Kovacic not even in squad. Love Vic yeah but Hudson-Odoi should be starting. Been superb pre season. Hmmm.

Kovacic is understandable cos he hasn't been playing preseason and skipping training to push his move out of Real Madrid; why no Hudson Odoi?

The reports are that Hudson Odoi picked up an injury in training on Friday.

I thought Alonso had a good game.

For me, the player that struggled the most was Dave!

Sarri now has a clear week to work with the players, so I would hope for further improvement.

{Ed018's Note - thought Dave was ok. Clearly Morata needs to pick it up. It’ll be good to get Hazard back in the starting 11 and Kovacic up to speed. I’d assume he’d take Barkley’s spot}

Overall I thought Morata was ok.

The Barkley decision will be interesting. I think he might get the nod next weekend, with Kovacic on the bench.

Hazard only on for about 15mins and was different gravy!

If we assume Hazard starts next week, then the boss has to choose between Pedro, Willian or Huson Odoi. So anther difficult choice but a good one to have!

I know it’s very early doors ed018 Christensen a Sarri type player? You think he’ll get as much playing time as last year?

That was better performance from Barkley who looks fit but not match fit and he fades quickly and with Kovacic available I can only see him being a perennial sub. I think Pedro is a Sarri type player so will get picked regularly but to me he does not last 90 minutes so we could see Hudson-Odoi getting plenty of game time in due course. Nice touches from Morata but the guy needs a goal, Willian played well but still slowed play down at times and hats off to Alonso who I thought had one of his best games.
