Probably because they know he wants city and they want him. Will admit conte didn’t seem happy we are not in for him, had a lot to say about him and how cheap he will be.

It’s probably both the fact that he seems to only want to go to City and his extroadinary wage demands. Granted it’s only newspaper reporting (and we know how accurate they are) but he’s apparently asking for £300,000/ week which would make him our highest paid player. For someone his age whereby an injury could derail his career massively (look at Barcelona wanting rid of Suarez) and the potential upset of players wanting bigger pay bumps, the board have decided it’s probably not worth the hassle of even trying.
Whilst I’m underwhelmed by some of our transfer activity recently, I don’t see the need to upset the already delicate balance within the squad trying for a player that seemingly has his heart set on a different move.

Barcalone want rid of saurez? Out of form so they want their striker out, doubtful. It'll be a year or two before he moves unless someone offers large

Onto Sanchez, he said he wanted to stay in London and win trophies last year, calling us out basically, we showed zero interest I doubt that has changed. Has no 'resale value' I'm guessing, which our board is renowned for.

Sanchez is quite overrated.

There are a number of similar players who are would be better options.

Only IMO.

Sanchez is a bargain at the price suggested BUT demanding £000,000/ £400,000 for someone who can be anonymous some weeks on the pitch, not good business, other younger alternatives out there and probably a couple internally given the chance.

Actually standard Ed002 has said that Barcelona want rid of Suarez. Whether they’ll find a buyer is another thing but they do want him gone.
