We probably have the best left sided wing back in Europe in Alonso so for me we don't need Sandro who would expect to play most of the time. Juve asking silly money for him as well. What we do need is an understudy though as Kenedy looks likely to be off to Newcastle on loan. I would prefer we looked at the young Fulham left back. Also saw a report saying Roman wants a marquee signing in the summer and has an offer on the table for Ronaldo. That would be typical Roman, pull one out of the fire when we are least expecting it.

Don't think we'll ever see Ronaldo here. It just wouldn't make sense, given his relationship with United. I also believe the time for Chelsea making "marquee signings" is gone, at least it isn't here in the way it used to be. That being said, I would truly love to see a genuine superstar go our way, as we got used to it but haven't had a such coming for many years now.

To improve the squad, we should be buying players better than we have now.

For instance, if we wanted a LWB, we should be buying someone better than Alonso. This means we have a class LWB in reserve too.

Really, we shouldn't be buying squad players unless its absolutely necessary.

I agree, though we definitely need another LWB, Sessegnon looks like a decent prospect, Telles is also great option. I think we really should be looking for a RWB (Bellerin or Florenzi) and a ST (Icardi or Belloti) .

Thats a good shout TruBlu, we already have the best LWB in Europe so we can't upgrade Alonso but we can upgrade on the other side. Also, well said blinky, we did and do buy marquee signings and Morata was just that last summer (although he does need to start playing like one 🤔)
